- Walt Disney started out as a man from Marceline Missouri and moved to Hollywood and began his career of changing the world.
This montage features home movies and archive footage rarely seen. This features the Police Station cartoon, Alice's Wonderland (starring Virginia Davis) and Puss in Boots all animated by Walt himself.

Maybe there WILL be someone like Walt Disney if one looks hard enough. They're many creative people in the world like him, even though they all work differently than what Disney does.

Walter Elias Disney died of lung cancer in December 1966 in the hospital across the street from the Walt Disney Studios. I was fortunate enough to be made a cast member and this was the song that played. It has always brought tears to my eyes. It will forever inspire me.
But he IS still with us. He's in the hearts of all who believe in our dreams and our greatest wishes.
He still is to this day.

I read that he wanted an amusement park that's clean and safe for families and I guess Disneyland is what he wanted, but if he was still alive, I bet he'll die again just by looking how much the tickets to enter cost

i believe it is heather headley ...it was used for the "golden dreams" attraction at california adventure...
He was a happy man, full of laughter. Ask yourself, what makes me happy? What makes me laugh? And go and do that... The world needs more HAPPY people-- not more "good" people just going through the motions someone told them to do.
Never realized this was Heather Headley's voice! Reading the comments, it is reassuring to see that tears aren't uncommon. I thought I was the only one who cries every time I hear this song. Tough thing, because I loved the Golden Dreams show... the ending video with this song was beyond heartfelt. Hope they will bring it back in the "new improved Disney's California Adventure!"

Walt Disney is just a brand name now they use his name for everything and Disney is just not the same without him he held the company for 10 years and now not even all those a people can manage the company they just blow money like it was water and i know its always going to change but you have to think about the past also not just about whats next for the future

@mattjnor98 I have the perfect idea for the opening and ending the opening would be Julie Andrews narrating the beginning and the ending would be the spirit of Walt Disney looking around in the center of the Magic Kingdom with Mickey Mouse by his side. Still have no idea as to who would play the part of Walt Disney.
for us animation people Disney was the greatest animation producer of all time. He of course put together and pushed a team of incrediblt talented artists to heights never before seen and probably never will be. Plus, the films he personally supervised are the most passionate and moving animation has ever seen.

okay i didnt want to entire park changed the way it was just some attraction that were taken down like the people mover and the carousel of progress...and my friend is an imagineer and i know someone else that work there too for imagineering and i dont bring this thing up cause i think it still needs more time.

That's a brilliant idea! In fact, I've got one planned to create once I get to work at Disney. It's called "Walt Disney: The Animated Autobiography". It's going to be in 2D hand-drawn animation and narrated by Mickey Mouse himself.

@kai1100 Yep, Disney should go back and make more cartoons than pre-teen and teen show. Pixar is good but still they're part of Disney, but live-action movies not so much. There few ones that are good like Enchanted and Old Dogs(Funniest movie), the teenager movies like Hannah Montana movie not good. Today Disney is starting to come back and they need to make more movies in Traditional Hand-Drawn than 3D, I appreciate that Disney making movies in 3D but Traditional Hand- Drawn is the best.

None knows what Walt would of think of his park nowadays he might like most of it but no a few parts and i think they put too much of Walt's life and past thing hes done at disney world because he wasnt there to vision it and supervise it he bother did all that and it just a waste of time to go all the way to florida cause it just too big nothing will beat the original park.
And one final thing can we change the Disney channel the was it was watching classic draw cartoons instead of kids acting out stuff it just not teaching our children anything
