You’re my new favourite channel! I love that you pay attention to fit details. many are happy finishing and wearing as the pattern is written which is great but I like my shoulders seams to sit straight and have been unhappy with the angling out of most of my previous tops. you highlight these design/ fit concerns I’ve encountered but didn’t know how to articulate never mind correct You have put words to my challenges re shoulder slope, short rows at the back neck etc. decreasing at the front. such small tweaks make all the difference. My mom always says, “a tailor is your best friend.” Your videos highlight little steps that I’ll incorporate in future. You’ve enabled me to be my own knitting tailor…I’ve saved your first few videos for this reason. Thank You!
I am so so happy if my videos are useful for your knitting experiences! And you are right, details matter as we hope to enjoy knitted garments for years! I love the expression "a tailor is your best friend", because this is where I learn about construction all the time, from experienced tailors! My grandma was one of them when she was alive, and she was a knitter as well! Your comment is very inspiring, thank you very much 🥰
I am so glad I’ve found your channel. I really enjoy all your yarn comparisons. I am planning on casting on the braidy loop sweater soon so all the advice you gave is so appreciated!
I like how you noticed the difference in yardage in Isager and Pascuali mohairs. I have recently purchased Lang Yarns mohair which has similar composition with 42% of silk and also a very generous meterage around 300m. It was likewise slightly more expensive but as you have said, in the end the difference is minimal. Sadly, cannot report on softness in a garment yet, knit to knit it first!😜
Thank you! Did you buy Lang Lace Mohair? I really want to try it and the color selection is so amazing! But lang mohair 21 is even more meterage, 375 meters! it's on my list to try as well 😍
Completely agree on the mohair from Pascuali, it’s just so so soft.. i saw people compared that with lang’s mohair as well, not sure which is better, but i’ve already ordered it😂
Hi! I am not sure if you can find Cariaggi in Spain, I never bought it from Spain. I know there are shops in Germany, Latvia, and other Eastern European countries that have lots of shops with italian yarn on cone. I bought mine from Ukraine, and my mom brought it when visiting me here. Try googling "italian yarn on cone cariaggi', and you ll find a few options for sure. Etsy has lots of stores that offer such yarns, and you can write to a Ukrainian shop, they will help you and they send the yarn worldwide. This is my favorite: instagram.com/wool_expert/
Lovely podcast! Such a shame about the braidy loop sweater :( I was really looking forward to knitting that pattern but now i’m so sacred of the mistakes! I hope yours turns out really well 💕
Thank you very much! Oh yes it’s a pity :( regarding mistakes, if you just follow a ravelry note I’ve put on a screen during the podcast, you should be fine, I think the rest is ok (but I have to knit the entire sweater to make sure hehe) 🤍
Oooh I must try the Pascuali mohair! I am also sensitive to most mohair and am still on the hunt for a non-scratchy one. Can I ask what your opinion is of Knitting For Olive mohair? Do you find it scratchy?
Let me know how it feels if you get to try it! I havent knitted with KFO mohair yet, but I've heard that its a bit less soft than Isager or Gepard Kid Seta. So I think I only might try it because of specific color, but otherwise I ll try to stick with softer ones. If you are very sensitive to mohair like me, I think you might like Lang Mohair 21. Its the softest for now in the market as I've heard, and the meterage is even longer: 375 meters per 25 g. Its my next one to try :) But Pasquali as well 🙃
Thanks so much for sharing all the details on your knitting. Beautiful mittens and that blue 💙 is marvelous 💙
Thank you for watching! That blue is wonderful, true!

It is Lang Yarns Lace, sorry for confusion, they do have quite a few types 😄
@@stitchandthread I was also confused when saw all lang mohairs! I've heard lang lace is increddibly soft, I hope you ll enjoy your project 💛

Oh Lang Mohairs are so soft, especially lang mohair 21, it’s softer than pascuali for sure! 😍
Beautiful knits! What is the brand of the brushed cashmere cone? Thanks. 😊
Thanks! Its Cariaggi SENSE, also all of the details with the metrage and composition are mentioned in the description under the video ❤
What a bummer about the Braidy Loop Cardigan. I agree, it's such a nice design, I was also tempted! I hope it will still work out for you!
I still hope to get my motivation back , because yes the design is amazing and I can’t wait to wear it!
