  • This video shows you how to change the engine oil in your Ford F-250 or F-350 diesel struck with the 6.7L engine. It's very easy! I recommend using the original Motorcraft oil and filter. Also shows how to reset the oil service interval for the computer.

what about the 1 quart you put into the oil filter. I'm assuming that is part of the 13 quarts. So up top in the oil fill you only put in 12 quarts?

+Charlie Spear yes 13 total, so that’s part of the 13

Diesel oil is always black totally normal. It’s caused because diesels produce more soot so the oil gets back really quickly but nothing abnormal at all

Hey you’re kinda leaving us hanging. There’s 1 quart in the oil filter, we saw you dump in 10 quarts through the engine bay and then the video cuts to you saying theres 13 quarts in. So after filling the oil filter how many quarts is it total through the engine bay? 13 or 12? That’s the question.

+@cliffskier707 13 total including the filter

its alot easier to just take a punch and punch a hole in the bottom of the oil filter so it can drain out of one hole

+zaxter321 interesting, first I’ve heard of that idea… sounds like it would work.

Yes, a lot less messy by punching the drain hole. Just make sure you break the filter free before you destroy it.
