When I use live mesh and make a face using the Quad Draw tool I have a solid blue face that is not editable. Every tutorial on youtube has the components selectable immediately but mine is locked for some reason. What am I doing wrong? I have live surface on and multicomponent selected but nothing on the newly created face is selectable.

How can I add thickness to my quad draw topology if my bottom faces are black and the top one's aren't, I can't reverse just one side help please

Come out of quad draw and use extrude. Then come back into quad draw.
I cover it on the other retopology videos :)
