I don't agree with using higher percentage alcohol. In medicine we use 70% because the dwell time of alcohol is important and 70% allows for optimal dwell time without evaporating too quickly. 90% and above is suboptimal due to the high rate of evaporation. Although viruses may be killed quickly, there are bacteria that require longer exposure to alcohol to kill. As a RN with past specialization in Infection Prevention & Control, I highly recommend 70% and nothing higher. You can also check the CDC for guidelines when you are in doubt.
Thank you!
I never knew this and always opted for the 90 just because I thought higher was better being completely uneducated about the product. I wish I would’ve google searched this sooner!
Thank you for passing along your knowledge. I did not know this!
70%to disenfect it needs time to evaporate to do its job.
I’ll have to wait until alcohol comes back in stock in my area...it’s impossible to find right now!
Same in my area!!😑
Check sams club. I just bought some there online
please get 70%. anything ever won't do enough
Girl thank you! I’ve got a focus span of a 3 yo, but this video was so brief and informative that I was able to watch it all!!! ❤

Great to know!!! I’m so happy to see videos of late on how to clean brushes and other tools for makeup and now THIS!!! Is it possible to do something like this with mascara and eyeliners? All kinds of eye products actually?

Thank you for keeping it quick and simple. 😂📝
Thanks for sharing .
I have to do mine. Been awhile.
Isopropyl alcohol is awesome, we use it to deep clean computer keyboard/mice etc. as well because of how quick drying it is. Great video thank you!

💜
Thanks I don't this now I know
1:53 PUT SOME MOREEEEE
Can I use on my powder foundation?
As long as it’s pressed powder
👍👍👍
How long should the palette dry before use again?
You're supposed to use 70% not 90%
Y'all must of forgot between TP, hand sanitizer, hand soap there is also NO alcohol either. Also the hand sanitizers they are giving away is not safe to use as you would a medical grade alcohol.
Omg I just grab the 91% of Alcohol that said disinfect, not thinking that this one is used for make up and I just brought a travel spray bottle from Walmart! 👍
still did not get it how you actually sanitize the eyeshadow itself without affecting the formula :)
Because the alcohol will evaporate. It won’t affect the product at all. Just let it dry and it will be back to normal. Just try it out.
How about you all send me my boxes !!!! I got charged since 03/09/2020 for all 3 , mind you and still nothing ! Is it just my luck or this is what I signed up for !!! I already emailed like 12 times and still , were sorry , here’s a $5 credit ! Wow!BUT NO BOXES , much less palettes

Way to prioritize. Isopropyl alcohol is near impossible to find. People are dying by the thousands. How about donate that alcohol to medical personnel who are putting their lives on the line to take care of people who are dying alone. But, hey, sanitize that palette, girl.
Thank you for that..supplies are so sparse. We need everything that we can get. We run out of those cleaning supplies and the facemask daily.
most people have a half used bottle stashed somewhere.can't donate that. sometimes when i order "brand new" subscription box palettes off ebay they arrive not so brand new; with obvious finger prints from swatching. it always turns me off from ever using the palette. i had never considered doing this & maybe it will make me feel more at ease to start using them. & right now is an especially relevant time to consider this practice. we're all stuck at home looking for things to keep us busy/entertained/productive/etc. i've been organizing my massive subscription box hoard. i would prefer to sanitize those palettes over trashing them.
I know this is important, but once and awhile it's nice to take a time out. Just a few minutes without thinking about COVID-19. Donate me 30 minutes, I'll still have 23 hours and 30 minutes to be afraid myself or someone I love will be the next person to need a ventilator that isn't available.
Jewels Xo I agree. I go to dialysis three days a week and they had to close their center two extra days last week. We weren’t told why other than, no, no one is infected. I believe it had to do with the disinfectants they use. Short supply, perhaps.
Lizbet SilverMoon Waters - i am so sorry. As a nurse, I fully understand how critical it is to be receiving dialysis as ordered. I can understand the concern for the risk of infection especially with dialysis ports. I hope you’re able to get the treatment you need as soon as possible. These are scary times we are living in. I will keep you in my prayers Lizbet SilverMoon Waters.
