Alan Menken's clever song for the Little Mermaid Disney movie based on the fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen the Danish author.
There are so many piano arrangements it seems, but I'm working on something myself (1st draft).

It certainly is neat Steve! Your clarity of score writing (as opposed to my scribbles!) , the song, your cover, and indeed the whole (new world? 😉) A little like the Sherman brothers before him, Alan Menken really has a special gift for melodic lift, and harmonic tension/release. This has to be among my top 5 fav. Menken songs, and I really enjoyed the magical twinkle quality you have achieved. Huge credit also for the 'arranger at work' top-down view, which makes the video extremely watchable. Are you using reverb? there is a beautiful, distant evocation to the sound - great stuff Steve. 👍👍🎹🎹

Thanks Gareth. It's a rough draft and I've changed it already so will do another one. I used a bit of reverb and will likely layer in another sound next time (digital piano has it's convenient advantages).

@@p1anosteve Absolutely - unless I can get Piano tuned (it's getting painful!!) this side of Christmas, I may well move all the cameras/equipment over to the digital - like you say, lots of advantages (and sure my neighbours appreciate that I restrict bashing out 12 bells on the grand to normal/polite hours) !
