  • This is a new song which is in need of words. If you are a lyricist do have a go. It starts with a an 8 bar verse. The chorus is 16 +16 bars and then there is an 8 bar bridge followed by a repeat of the first or second half of the chorus.

A very beautiful romantic piece, composed and played with great skill. It certainly would make an excellent song with the addition of lyrics! Thanks Steve for sharing.

Hi Steve - this is the 3rd day in a row been listening to and enjoying this composition SO very much. It’s certainly within the top 3 of your pieces…so far 😛 love the easy tempo ballad and such a good choice of key in Ab with the chording inflections and side shifts it allows. I haven’t written lyrics for a few years but what is Interesting is the shapes form and patterning you have ‘given’ allow for a variety of story curves - and this could easily be a 21st century musical ballad or indeed, a Menken style emotional number in a Disney film… that’s meant as a compliment btw 😂 it’s really very, very effective Steve and well done and so good of you to share it. All the best Gareth 😊

Wow.. thanks Gareth. Funny you should say it's like a Disney song. I thought that too. Hope I haven't ripped it off from something unknowingly.
Like you I'm guilty of changing my mind and I've re-written it in G which I think sound better and with more full chords. If someone does come up with words (difficult when it's a fully formed song) I think it would make a good choir piece.
