Surprised he's being that critical of him, honestly. Glad to see him bringing these balance issues up already, it's not particularly fun when the game launches with ten legendary lords and one of them seems completely useless.
I dont think Elden ring is worth all of the hype. It will never beat Bloodborne and original Dark Souls. Warhammer 3 is definetly is going for best of the series after ME comes out.

But after ornstein and smog. The game becomes pretty bad till gwyn. Ds3 has consistently good bosses and areas. Areas arent interconnected but overall it's good. Also elden right definitely has a chance of being as good. And even if it isn't, it'll in all likelyhood be a fun game to play. DS2 is by far the worst game in the genre but there is still fun to be had. I liked ds2's multiplayer the best in the series. It also had the best selection of weapons and spells . It's just the levels, enemies and bosses were really bad

Cheap infantry and cavalry, hated by LoTW, is essential in multiplayer, since 400 point goblin raiders can easily shut down 700 - 800 point ranged unit. And no one is saying you cant defy the Cheese Lord by painting the map with Kolstantyn. After all, thanks to AI being as it is, you can paint the map with anyone using almost any units.

Fairly sure if Karl survives into like turn 150-200 he'll be the good old worldwrecker.

I'd be interested in seeing how good cav units would feel if you just simply doubled all of their charge bonuses. When infantry can have a higher charge bonus than some cavalry there's definitely something a bit off
MilkandCookies is a sweaty competitive MP guy making PVP content. In MP you win a single battle at all costs against a human opponent. Vortexes are shit, wind spells are shit, it's about micro and out clicking and strategizing your opponent. Legend is a high volume single player legendary streamer. He values high DPS to cost ratio. Infantry clearing magic. Exploiting the AI's weakness. Not winning one battle at any cost but building a 20 stack and keeping it alive for 100 turns. There's no comparison because they're basically playing different games and each approach what they consider strong through that lens. Neither one is wrong, it's just MP vs SP.

After a quick google search horses are around 1.6 times faster than bears at max speed, which would translate to WH as bears having a speed of around 59 maximum when the fastest horses in the game have a speed of around 95. Since these have a speed of 80, the fastest cavalry should have a speed of 128 to keep the same ratio. Of course, this is fantasy we're talking about. But the game still has heavy horse cavalry with a speed of 66 which is pretty much flipping this ratio upside down. I think cavalry in the game in general should have much higher speeds and charge bonuses

In MP no one picks Katerin, Boris gets picked occasionally, but Kostaltyn gets picked all the time because he's so good (because of all his buffs and battle prayers). Same with the lores of magic btw - you prefer Tempest over Ice, however in MP battles its the other way around, especially in Domination battles; Tempest is way inferior to Ice in MP.
It's so interesting that there are 2 polar opposite opinions on the lores of magic. Most everyone else I've seen think ice is superior to tempest. I wonder why

If I were to play on normal and I had one lore that was dog shit compared to the other other lore, I would choose the better one every time regardless of how easy or hard the battle is.
