Hydrocotyle tripartita is a medium category stem plant available from Tropica in pots and the 1-2-Grow cups where it is produced in-house in Tropica’s greenhouses and laboratories. It has small and delicate leaves that resemble clover with its distinctive indented bright green leaves. It will survive with lower light and nutrient levels but in order to achieve the desired compact carpeting growth stronger light and CO2 injection are necessary. Under lower lighting levels the plant tends to grow more upright.

That is so true what George said about discarding the trims responsibly. I never thought of it before. Imagine, buzshes of Rotala in our local sewage system...
Rotala would likely die off but there has been an invasion of hornwort plants in certain Us states because of people discarding the trimmings in to water systems. So it could happen with crypts, Java Ferns, or any hardy plants. Some sewers lead to Rivers and Lakes where the plant assuming it makes it there alive could thrive and takeover whatever eco system it happens to wash up in.
If they get out of control, they can actually plug drainage systems and cause floods. It can cost millions to remove them.

The slow growth could be because the tall tank and a light with low PAR, with a taller tank you lose more and more PAR as you get closer to the substrate so even a light that seems powerful could’ve lost almost all its efficiency over the distance it took to get to the substrate. PAR can get really complicated and you can buy PAR meters that you can stick underwater but for the most part you can just look up how much PAR your light has and you’ll likely find measurements and different depths from which you can just estimate in your own tank. That being said I’d only look into this as a factor if your tank is 20 inches or taller or you could always switch to low light plants for the substrate like crypts. Anubias and Bucephalandra are options too but they can’t be buried and need to be superglued to rocks or wood

Gorgeous plant. I've got mine now invaded by staghorn algae! After watching this, I really want to rescue them and probably try the epiphyte route. Love these feature videos!

Rummynose tetras love this plant. They ate my entire carpet. 😭 umm.. I sorta love them so I just let them party and put in some other plants instead. They seemed to only like this one a lot

I’m using this plant in a bonsai type aquascape. The plant leaves also grow larger emmersed.
Fairly common in Mexico, I had ir for a while, but I new to the hobby and didnt know how to care for any of the my plants. Long story short i had to take apart that aquarium, it became a mess

They grow faster under the right conditions both emersed and submersed. Emersed you need a humid environment of course.

It’s no laughing matter but he isn’t lying either currently there are no stockist receiving plants in the uk, I’ve just spent the last couple of months putting together everything I need for a high tech setup spent well over a £1000 and can now not get plants.
luckily I’ve managed to find a supplier who’s shipping from Northern Ireland so I’ve just placed an order with them today, I believe they are exempt from the red tape holding up the supply in England.
Don't get me wrong, it's not funny for me either, I live in the UK and I have this problem too, I have to wait with the rescap. I laugh at people who thought Brexit would be better and only now they will see what will happen.

Things will settle down with time, the uk have to much money for other countries not to trade with us, short term it’s a pain but with time we will be better off out of the EU, anyway let’s not have a political debate on a video that we as aquarium keepers come together to enjoy.
