I’ve killed every single cuba I’ve ever tried growing, but I’ve had a pot of monte carlo just sitting in a holding tank for months and it’s somehow still totally fine. This stuff is magical.
Will I have any problems growing this in Flourite Black Sand? I have CO2 and plenty of light with a mix of LEDs and T5. I also have CaribSea Eco-Complete under the black sand in addition to Seachem root tabs. I also use water column fertilizers. I've seen most setups with gravel/small stone-like substrate as opposed to a fine sand like Flourite Black Sand. Will the plant be able root properly in the sand? Thank you!
I think they used a hand blower to cause that water movement, I don't see any filter or any filter pipes attached into the aquarium, same technique aquascaper used by aquscaper to take picture for contest tanks.
I've had this in my tank for nearly a month now, planted it as described in this video. It has not died but has not really spread out but just grown a little in height and roots are not developing well. I have good light, substrate is fluval stratum, CO2 injection, and root tabs. All the other plants are doing well. -Hornwort, Amazon Swords, Anubias, Java Fern, Alternanthera...... There is lots of light getting to the Monte Carlo. What is hindering it from spreading?
Hello sir. I bought here a same plant in Doha, Qatar. Qatarium is the specialty shop here which resells Tropica plants. Now i've had this plant for past a week now and it started melting on some parts of it. I attached it to tropica drift wood 10-20cm size. Ive checked some forums that if the plant was coming immersed then theres a chance it would melt (unless if the plant was fully submerged) but then would come back soon. Dont know if this is my case... Well the plant comes partly immersed in tropica cup 1,2... Also, my aquarium has bright light say 140 lux at bottom (using light meter) with 1600 lumens cfl and constant CO2 provided. Also my other plant i bought together with it - the Hydrocotyle Tripartita was growing now. I also added regularly Tropica Specialized and Premium with the recommended dosage. So i was thinking if this is normal as both plants are categorized Medium and my Tripartita was doing fine. Thanks Sir.
hi just started a 20g monte carlo Iwagumi tank with diy co2 injection on a rich aquasoil. i just bought 500ml of micro and iron/potassium ferts. how much and how many times do i need to apply the ferts? thanks!
I am so envious of anyone who has access to Tropica products. They are not available in Australia. The quality of many aquarium plants here is not great.. (btw I'm here because of George😊👍)
Tried a lot to grow this plant. All the other plants are growing well and are well established but montecarlo keeps melting evem with co2 injection and appropriate lighting and the surviving ones are too small and doesn't grow.
Hi, that's quite unfortunate. It is hard to pinpoint which parameters is causing the melting; in most cases it is a sign of lack of nutrition but lighting can also affect it.
Hi. It might be a case of lack of nutrition, but many other things can be happening at the same time. Try a big trim, water change and proper fertilizers and see if anything changes. Check out: tropica.com/en/plant-care/ or our latest video on nutrition
@@jhaych I stopped keeping fish long time ago Back in july. I can't be asked changing the water all the time and the tank smells. Got a pet budgie instead

Best carpeting plant to use in the hobby. Thank you Tropica for providing such beautiful plants. Been using Tropica for many years now.
Thanks for this video! I was wondering why mine was giving such a hard time, and now I know why. Thanks.
Thank you Sir George for a very informative video.
Just adding this to my tank looking forward to the results
What are the results
I bought some today! I'm excited 😁
This will be my top 10 favourite
You have beautiful plants💚
I planted this today. Collected it from our pond. It's native here
Wow! That's amazing, had we known we would've contacted you for some "wild" takes of the plant! You're quite lucky!
That's cool , where do u live

My favorite carpet plant
Can someone explain to me what's causing the water movement @2:18 ? Beautiful plant. Will use for my next carpet.

1:12 which type of fish is that? its look beutifull

What is the best temperature for this plant (Monte Carlo) to achieve excellent growth in my tank?
quite well explained and plant video instructions

My favorite plant ....l love this plant so much...
cool to see flowers on it
@2.24 mins, what stone are you using for your iwagumi hardscape?
Can I glue it to rocks for example? Even if it doesn't grow quick, does it stays healthy with good ligth, ferts on water and CO2?
It should, yeah. It’ll probably take some time to adapt to take in nutrients from the water column, though. Not sure which ferts would work best.
They can grow on soil AND attached to rocks?! This plant can do it all
Hello. They can be replanted before trimming?
My monte carlo grows very slowly.and have given it good lighting and co2 injection
If happy, this plant will take off and cover everything. Be prepared to trim on a regular.basis.

Hi. It's best if you check out tropica.com/en/plant-care/liquid-fertilisers/premium-nutrition/ for a quick guide
Thanks!
Brother what cam you are using! And lense

Yes, it's sad that Australian dealers can only import the Plant Care and not the plants
Guys dont overthink it ive grown it successfully in some auqasoil and an led light while not a super thick carpet it is surviving and slowly spreading
What is the price of the plant sir
Green carped 😍
Heights of beautiful sights.
Superb video
Thank you 😀
Wow

Hi George !
Good video
Every day my monte carlo leaves fall out, why? Anyone knows

What’s the orange fish at 1:15?
Sacha Holt looks like a platy or molly
Looks like a young/small platy
My monte carlo carpets so slow even if my lights are ok and i have co2 injection also :(
Mine too.
Sometimes you need to add ferts to the water column to help plants grow. Especially if you already have sufficient light and c02.
Do I have to bury the monte carlo under the gravel for it to grow or leave the top half above the gravel
Both works I think

Is it OK to plant Monte Carlo when your fish tank is full of water
Yes, that is no problem :)
That’s George Farmer, undeniably him 😂
Is this the same as dwarf baby tears
Not quite. Dwarf baby tears is the same as Hemianthus callitrichoides :)
sounds like george farmer
