Thank-you so much , was just wondering if I can tie it to driftwood, and you answered it!!!!
Just bought some from Petco today! thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience! cheers!
Mine has been struggling. Thanks for the video.
This video is great! Straight to the point, very helpful info. I need to decide how to plant it in my tank now…:)
I bought a couple of pots of this plant when you first got Tropica in stock. It did lose a few leaves initially but I am seeing new growth already. Waiting for another order from you to come in of some other plants I wanted to try. You’re right, there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the Tropica plants.
I have this. It's done well and is lovely.
Great Vid!! Super helpful! Just found your channel.
Cool chair.
Plus,If no Co2 ..use iron as it yellows easily.
in my 4 gallon, it struggled. I think the light I have is too bright since the leaves are tiny and have white patches. It is going crazy in my 5 gallon shrimp tank though :) I bought a pot to stick to the glass for it :)
Mam do Was pytanie: Czy mogę przykleić roślinę MonteCarlo SP Japan do skały? i czy rośnie bez gleby mam co2 i światło końcowe. Czy ta roślina będzie rosła, gdy przykleję ją do bezglebowej skały?
Want to try it. But, I think my Lemon Tetras & GBRs would tear it up like they did the Hydrocotyle leucocephala 😌
thank you
The plant can float?
This thing grows like mad
Hey Justin, will this grow up and out of an aquarium? I have a 50 lowboy bond style aquascape and I’m looking for something to grow emerged. Thanks bro.
We havent grown it in an aquarium yet but have grown it emersed and it is FAST growing, put some in a paludarium and it is everywhere in a couple of weeks.
Couple weeks??? Wow what are you feeding it? Mine is growing good but not that good. I must be doing something wrong which isn't unusual for me.
@@Arbear64 Are the using fertilizer?
What do you do with it until it is planted? I had 1 kept in a container with dechlorinated water & it died.
You didn't say if it grows well under the substrate?
Is this the same as hydrocotyle tripartita mini?? Or is that a different plant??
Thanks for the video. I am checking out your website. I just got one tiny spring of hydrocotyle japan from a guy on r/aquaswap. I am really hoping I can get it growing in my spec V. It has the factory light and gravel. Fingers crossed. I am assuming it's more of a water column feeder? Not certain there.
i think it is both
hows it growing?
RIP hydrocotyle. 😢
So if I trim this I can replant the trimmings and more will grow?
Yes, just make sure you trim it at a node and plant it. Hint, I always plant mine in a small dish with substr8 soil to help it get a better start then as it grows a little then transplant the node and you should do good. It is pretty easy to grow. However as one person posted it does yellow easy so keep the iron handy
I don't use lights in my tanks. The only plant that I am successfully growing is Marimo Moss balls. Frogbit died. Water Lettuce died. I do have some Mondo grass but it is not really an aqua plant and it has a lotta brown. I did add some API Leaf Zone once but I don't think that made a difference. If you are aware of any plants that rely on just daylight lmk.
Get a light!? haha I am assuming you are trying to do it energy efficiently. Looks like an outdoor pond might be in your future!
@@daveblanks5699 I have an LED that came w/ my (55) gallon. My Silver Dollars hovered in a corner. The seller alerted me that they don't have eyelids. When I removed the light they swam freely. The lights are in a bucket in my basement. I do have to top my tanks off with water weekly but it's ok. Our daylight is good enough. I have no algae. The algae that might occur is eaten by my Mollies but I never see it.
Portia Holliday yikes! Poor silver dollars! I understand now. Interesting situation there. Good luck
@@daveblanks5699 Yes, the no lights work bc we go to bed at 7pm.
Portia Holliday I wouldn’t try to get plants then.....
It can also float correct?
yeah
If ANYTHING you have nibbles on plants? They will take this one out. Its like cilantro to them.
Why does mine not grow 😭
Hey bro! Check your email I'd appreciate a response.
