This has fast become one of the things I look forward to the most in my subscription box each week. I really don’t think that there is another RUclipsr doing something comparable at the moment, certainly not with this timeless once-in-a-generation game. I’ve really been going through it lately, and having this to look forward to each week has honestly been really helpful. Content like this really makes a difference in the world, even if just a small one. Thank you, and thank you, and thank you!!

Latest rumors: I knew a pilgrim who picked bunches of stoneflowers and corkbulbs while on the go. Eating them served as a nice free remedy for issues with strength and paralysis. He claimed the stoneflowers saved his life when he was chased by bonewalkers. Of course, you can't believe everything people say, even pilgrims.

Another lovely episode of Sings-Like-Cor's adventures! I can always feel the anxiety of using the levitation potions and getting stuck on weird geometry. Almost thought he'd fall but I'm glad he didn't. The most surprising I think was the amount of people getting undressed in front of him. Sings-Like-Cor is one smooth talker for sure.

The Icecap is actually one of the helmets you can wear as an Argonian. And its enchantment is a permanent 30% frost resist. Its not the best enchantment, but it its definatly one of the most useful.
Concerning helmets: Argonians and Khajiit can wear all helmets which are not fully closed. Most heavy helmets are out of question, but some very strong helmets (light and medium) are still wearable.
Edit: Bribing is always easier... everyone likes money.

    • @Hamearis23
      @Hamearis23 8 месяцев назад +1

If I recall correctly, open helmets are pretty well shared between each armour type, though yeah the best ones are Light armour or unique/artifacts.
To go a bit more in technical detail, helmets that can be worn by Argonians & Khajiits are helmets that don't use the _Head_ slot but only the _Hair_ slot, so that they only replace the _Hair_ part of the character model (probably to prevent clipping with the hairstyle or features like horns). Model that is split in about 25 parts aka meshes (hair, head, neck, torso, both shoulders, both upper arms and so on), while armour & clothing replace the designed part/mesh by attributing them to the adequate slot. For example, all vanilla cuirasses are composed of 1 mesh that use the _Torso_ slot, while greaves can be composed of 3 to 5 meshes using 3 to 5 slots: the _Groin_ slot, left and right _Upper leg_ slots and some also have left & right _Knee_ slots. Pretty modular system that allows to separate or mix the parts of an armour piece (remove the big shoulder part of the Dwemer pauldron and integrate it to the cuirass, or make a mix of Daedric-Glass greaves, one leg Daedric, the other Glass!)
Even more fascinating, modders have found out that the boots could also be worn by Argonians & Khajiits if they are "open" boots!
Just like the game seems to check for the use of the _Head_ slot when trying to wear any headgear as either of them, it seems like it only checks for the use of the _Foot_ slot when trying to wear boots or shoes. As each pair of boots in the vanilla game use both _Foot_ and _Ankle_ slots (again to prevent clipping I guess), it doesn't allow any footgear to be worn. *But!* Remove the _Foot_ slots and your Argonian/Khajiit will be able to wear leggings instead of boots, as the mesh using the _Ankle_ slot also includes the shin protection. Well, there's a few exceptions where the boots models are actually made as one single mesh like the "Heavy Leather (aka Colovian fur) Boots" , and not composed of 4 meshes so removing the _Foot_ slot won't remove the foot part of the mesh and it will clip with the character's feet.
If you want to get the mods or just see how it looks like, search *Boots for Beasts* or *Leggings for Beast Races* on the *Nexus* !

    • @CorCanishPlus
      @CorCanishPlus  8 месяцев назад +1

Ah interesting thanks for the knowledge. I think mods is out of the question for now, but this means that whenever we get a helmet or pair of boots, it's worth trying them all to make sure

    • @Randleray
      @Randleray 8 месяцев назад

@@CorCanishPlus Nope, boots are all out of question for Argonians and Khajiit. You will actually get a very selfconsious aknowledgment for this aswell further into the game when you enter the AddOns ;)

A potion of silence in Morrowind will silence you when you use it, not your enemy. The engine doesn't have the ability to apply it to your weapon outside of enchanting. Best to sell it or keep it in your house as a curiosity.

    • @antonisauren8998
      @antonisauren8998 8 месяцев назад

Poison mods for morrowind are somehow more balanced than base mechanics of later games, as they require preparation before combat. Even then silence poison falls short, unless your enemy is immune to paralisis.

That's a relief Sings-Like-Cor resolved this rebellion peacefully like that without exposing himself to the wrath of the Telvannis! Maybe they are used to this outcome, or maybe Sings-Like-Cor did not tell them the exact truth.
So he already encountered 2 of the 3 Nord Barbarians who were "betrayed" by "witches"! The last one is a bit more out of the way though, wonder when he'll be found?

    Here we go again! 😊
All of Vvardenfell to explore, so many questions to answer and people to meet - onwards, dear Sings, onwards! 😁
(Also....sixth adventure already? *Sixth*, what an interesting word...! 😈)
The saints book is fascinating - the simple black-and-white portrayal of history, "us good Dunmer, them evil whoever"; the seemingly randomly assigned patronage of the various professions; the interesting deeds and decisions of the individual saints...
And it makes you wonder about the names of their blessings at their Temple shrines (like the Rock of Llothis - why a rock exactly? 😅)..
Well, a spot of reading after waking up is a popular scholarly sport, after all.
Good for our dear lizard! 😊
Hehe, and the instant "eugh" reaction upon stepping out into the rain - what's the modern way to say this - #relatable? 😅😁😁
Regarding pesky strenght-draining enemies (hate those!) - something enchanted with the Reflect spell might also come in handy (a lot of robes of such sort can be found lying around...or on a fresh corpse, I think 😁), though I'm not that knowledgeable about their success rate - but, y'know, every little pinch of good luck and preparation helps 😁
Levitation must be an awfully strange feeling the first few times one tries it.
I've never used that, uhh, flyboard? I think it's called? thingie, the flying-above-the-waves-propelled-by-water doodah, but I suppose it might feel a bit similar - balancing yourself, trying to control where you rise and where you land, ducking under archways...
Don't you worry, Sings, you'll become a pro at that in no time! 😊
(But the stress Is Real, hahah. "Nonononono hold on a little bit longer -- !!!" - all Nerevarines at some point, pretty much 😆)
And a short-term Levitation enchantment on a ring or an amulet is a good idea for Sings' elevator needs! Them potions aren't cheap, after all 😆😆
Sings' readiness to just casually do some breaking and entering at that Upper Hall door is a nice reminder that while he might be fist-bumping high-ranked Telvanni officials and eagerly accepting their coin, he really isn't here to play nice and straightforward with them 😈
And would it /kill/ them to put a basic floor map and/or important people's locations at the ground floor of the tower, huh? 🙄😆
Eleedal-Lei's story and how it paralles and resonates with Sings' own turbulent life changes -- that is downright narratively delicious.
    😊😁
Because for our scaly scholar, this had to be like looking into a mirror of possibilities - what his life could have been, had he been less lucky.
Because /we/ know that Sings is ~not like the other girls~ and destined for greatness, but he himself obviously does not - except for the fore/hindsight timewarp thing, of course! 😁 -- so the mine situation had to cut deep.
He had seen slaves before, but this interaction was...more.
Very happy how it turned out.
And let's hope the freed folk will truly manage to escape and get to safety - they're far from the big towns, so it should be easier to move sneakily about and possibly find an Imperial ship to board/stow away on/let themselves be hired on 😊
Hah, and that good-visibility-mod of yours really does make a difference with all the travelling - seeing a landmark from afar and being able to navigate the terrain better thanks to it definitely makes Sings' life easier 😊😁
"Now it's gonna dig my face!" - but Sings, *we* dig your lovely lizard face! 😁😁😁 Let no hungry hound devour it!
Re: fungal architecture - I suppose it could be done! If I remember correctly, there are some companies that produce mycelium-based furniture and packaging, I think by letting the fungus grow into a specific shape and then drying it somehow...?
(Ah, gotta read "Entangled Life" again 😅😅)
But living in a live one - that would be interesting. Probably a lot of moisture, methinks; the spores might pose a health risk, perhaps?
    SO MANY QUESTIONS.
(Just a curious question: why is Sings reluctant to get more chores from the other Mouths? 😁
Does he simply not want to help the House more than is absolutely necessary to advance in the ranks?
Or does he just not want to be swamped with tasks? 😁
It might get him some much needed coin... 😉)
*cough* those who serve Almalexia faithfully may receive her blessing of once-a-day attribute restoration *cough cough* but what would an outlander know about that *cough*
    😜😁😁
(Nah, for real now: an enchanted item can do wonders as well. Doesn't need to be 'restore attribute', could be just 'fortify attribute short-term', long enough for you to get to a shrine 😊)
(But enchanting is too darn costly.)
(But Creeper on the thumbnail means Sings is about to Get Rich!)
But it might be worth your time to check out Temple and Imperial Cult priests/workers - both factions might be selling a cheaper levitation spell! 😊
(As you only really need a short-term one for elevator purposes right now 😁)
Helping out people on the road! Except for that one haughty pilgrim because in all honesty, she can damn well take her own arrogant arse beyond the Ghostfence if this is how she treats polite travellers willing to help.
(Those shrill words of hers may even scare cliff-racers away... 😆😆)
Being a well-bred Imperial citizen, Sings has no problem swearing on Zenithar's name. Good. The Divines look kindly on loyal worshippers! 😁
And hahahhh, the "you know what, if you're going to A'R, you might as well take my own shirt, make more money, eh?" thing had me grinning - I suppose Argonians do not sweat (if we can stick to lizard physiology...) and thus the shirt should be just wrinkled and dusty, basically good to go, sold with a little discount and everyone goes home happy 😆
And the paralyzed Nord! Sings was understandably a bit wary after the last such encounter, but things ended up well this time around.
    Nice!
Also the journal is indeed a veritable literary treasure 😂😂
"Icecap. It reeka of barbarian." 😆😆
AND OH WOW THE ASSASSIN RETURNS AND THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL okay it's kinda personal every time but WOAH!
The ash storm raging all around really gave it a properly dramatic vibe 😬😬
(I do so enjoy both your cocoa breaks and you taking such good care of Sings, making sure he has a soft bed to sleep in every once in a while! ...even if quite too often circumstances force him to rest outside 😝😆)
Ooh, a savant! If I remember correctly, those have a TON of topics to talk about! 😁
    Ienas, Ienas...
True, the individual reward for getting the items back isn't much, but seeing as it's more merchants and one and the same guy, perhaps the cumulative payment will make up for it..? 😁
And WOW, designer shoes with a Light enchantment? NEAT!
    (For impressing your friends, definitely.
Stealth-wise, I prefer constant effect Night Eye as that means you see the enemy but they don't see you, whereas Light makes you an actual beacon.
B U T ~At Da Club~ it's all about that glow and shine, so - you do you, Ienas, excellent taste 😆😆😆)
AND YOUR COMPLIMENTS TOWARDS HIM -- by the Three I laughed loads, fabulous work 😆😆😆
Smooth talker, our lizard lad 😏😏
(Also evidenced by the bodices ripping throughout this entire episode 😆😆😆😜)
(...also, I see Sings' past/future quicksave-vision doesn't just cover literal deaths, but deadly societal misshaps as well 😆😆😆😆)
    And!
An outlander (and one of the beastfolk at that!) using Temple teachings to school the sinful Dunmer - can't decide whether that's a hilarious or gravely serious matter.
    (Both, probably.)
I did enjoy you reading the Sermons; there are some very nice quotes in there. The illustrated editions must be glorious to see; I am discreetly and tentatively hoping for the Skywind modding team to give it a go - they've already done an exquisite job with Vivec's 36 Lessons (the illustrator's nick is "Fury_On", look it up if you have a moment! 😊😊)!
...hah, to be fair, just five minutes of such a strong ash storm would be enough to send anyone on a trip to dear, calm Caldera 😁😁
Ah, Imperial Guards - something of a taste of home away from home for Sings, are they not? 😊
(See, that's another lovely angle - Caldera surely appeals to our lizard with its familiarity...)
Selling a "Summon Scamp" spell? Girl, you can /literally/ just walk down the street and talk to him yourself 🙄🙄😆😆
    AND YOU FOUND HIM! 🤩
An excellent way to end the episode: with a friendly face (that just so happens to own a large sack of money 😆😆)!
(Ah, the countless hours spent by selling expensive Daedric stuff to him and buying other items back to balance those 5000 drakes... Vvardenfell economics is in shambles 😂)
Enjoyed this episode very much, thanks for bringing us along! 😊
And fantastic voice-acting as always ♥️
The Nord was especially awesome, I pretty much forgot he wasn't /actually/ dubbed as you talked 😁😁😁
Have a great week - and may the final days of 2023 be a calm and peaceful time for you 😊

Great video. Sings-Like-Cor is finding his way around Morrowind really well, and making some friends along the way. I like that he has good moral character and is helping people.
As for the 'Icecap', the flaps hanging down from the brim are likely pieces of leather. They are there to help protect the sides and back of your neck, from attacks from behind. The Icecap is a very crude helm version, which - if I am correct in my history 🤔 - is 'somewhat similar-ish' to what Ghengis Khan's warriors wore. Maybe..?.. Although theirs were much, much nicer. As I said though, I could be confusing it with another helm style (there are other variations in history, I just don't remember where 🤦‍♀😂), so anybody who does know, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. 😄
