This is my first season at JSU. I transferred as a junior. I'm already so happy here and so happy that the Southerners are MY band. The first unified note after the solo and duo early on sends chills down my spine. Every time. And let me just tell you. The first time I heard Salvation live, it brought tears to my eyes. I've been through some stuff and have lots of regrets and doubts, but in that moment, I was perfectly content.
I’m a Huge Fan of JSU especially the Marching Southerners so I’m actually planning on to be a Marching Southerner next Fall I’m so Excited but going to work so Hard at it in General bc it’s so Good like the Best Music School in Alabama especially. I’m a HS Grad of ‘21 from South Alabama, my Primary Instrument is Alto Sax but wanting to Switch to Mellophone for Next Fall (Marching Band) I also know some Piano. But I know like 1 Person that is currently a Rookie their this year in 2021. He was my Section Leader in HS, but it even Blowed my Mind when I heard the 2021 Program up close on my Phone. But I would love to go see them so Badly, Meet them & Etc. get to know them while also they do to. But I can definitely say that your so right Marching Southerners are so Good even my HS & Middle School Band Directors Graduated & Marched in the Marching Southerners so I’m going to see if I can get like some kind of Help with it all for the Band Half. But I love the fact they Dedicated it to their Town/ City & the Alumni also the Halftime Show or shall I say Blowout.
Many changes over the years as we seek many journeys. The thing is, we are still a symphony . we are jsu and southerners continue to be the best. Ken is great and Walters was a visionary. Change in times is hard, but if we make music to help.many feel good, it is something that has made a difference in lives. I keep watching much over the years. It keeps me going after I have lost my entire immediate family. I feel the spirit. Just can't stop watching. Two years of this video, ut what I feel and see is great. Keep blowing and peal the paint off much. 💝
We have grown to even be better. It is 2021 and it will be great. We love the past and now we are here to reach out to.many through our music. We are family and it ia positive. Let others spell the name on the field. We are different, we are jsu. Many are trapped in time, but it only gets better as a visionary. It would take many football fields to place Many southerners . I get lots of spiritual from all the shows. It keeps me.going as I have lost my entire family. I need.positive things. I.fly my jsu flag at my estate.
One of the drum soloists went to our school (Gordon Lee) in Chickamauga Georgia a small town and you can look us up Gordon Lee Marching Band were a 3A band and the Soloist played at Atlanta CV for a year I think and went to JSU his freshmen year His name was Caleb
Awesome...I wish I could have seen it live. I have a suggestion: have an additional camera or two on the sideline aimed at the crowd. There is always a standing ovation and it makes us old Southerners very proud!
Great show!

Wonder how many people in JSU March Drum Corp? This is the Best college band there is in my opinion.
A good bit actually. Most of the battery and A lot of the horn line.

I regret not applying to go to college here and not pursuing music in college ;(
