I am just starting my adventure into self formulating and deodorant has been one of the first I wanted to tackle. I have not had much success until I saw your post. It had almost everything I wanted in a deodorant, I tweeked it to my taste a little and made a small batch, I used it yesterday and OMG I love it, it was like wearing store bought deodorant. I cut your recipe in half yo start here is what I modified: beeswax was at 1/3c (5TB + 1tsp) I removed one TB of beeswax and added 1 TB of Zinc ricinoleate, took out cornstarch 2TB and substituted 2TB zinc oxide, Arrowroot was 5TB + 1 tsp and I removed 1 TB + 1tsp, and replaced it with 1 TB of Magnesium hydroxide and 1tsp of white kaolin clay. My fragrance oil I chose was Essential Essence Love Spell (knock off Victoria Secret scent). Thank you so much for your inspiration, keep creating.
Awww this absolutely warms my heart. I'm so very happy to hear that you were able to make changes to suit your needs and the recipe worked out perfectly for you. Please keep formulating and enjoying homemade products because there is no better feeling than making your own products and controlling the ingredients you put into it. Thanks again for watching 🙂

Wow.. This was so cool to see you create. Its awesome that you are able to create your own natural deodorant thats good for sensitive skin. I love all of your diy's and I looking forward to the new ones to come with doing projects around the house 🙌👑
Awww thanks so much Queen 😊. I really enjoy making as many everyday times as natural as I possibly can. Yes, please stay tuned for more DIY’s. Stay blessed!
You are very welcome. I would add it, but no more than 1 Tblsp as too much may dry out the skin in the armpit area. I didn't use a preservative for this because there are no water based ingredients. This recipe will last you 6-12 months. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi there 😊 I would say that because cornstarch can be irritating for sensitive areas such as your underarms, I would personally recommend not using it. In regards to the candelilla wax, this wax is considered to be the best in homemade deodorant recipes as it is very nourishing and conditioning for your skin. Hope I have answered your question. Thank you for watching.
Great video Queen! I thought I was the only one that armpits would burn....When I use regular store bought deodorant...Now I use aluminum free deodorant but like you said it’s very expensive smh...I’m thinking about trying this recipe! Thank you for the insight! 🙌🏾
You are absolutely welcome. Trust me that commercialized deodorant will burn the paint of your car..lol. Glad that you switched over to an aluminum free one bc that definitely makes a great difference...your armpits will thank you 😊 I appreciate your support on this video.
Hi there! Yes, you can switch out the beeswax for soywax. I would increase the soywax slightly only because it tends to be a softer wax. Unless you use a harder wax like Carnuba Wax which tends to be more similar to the beeswax. Thanks so much for watching 😊
Sorry to hear that. I personally did not experience that happening. May I suggest using another wax such as carnuba or sunflower wax. Thanks for watching!
You can omit the arrowroot if you are unable to find it in your country. The reason I like to use it in my recipe is because it helps to absorb moisture and decreases the odor levels.
The cornstarch and arrowroot helps to absorb moisture and the fragrances of geranium, Grapefruit and tea tree oil works together to prevent unwanted odour.
Hey what are the odds i find you hear posting on another persons video about not using chemicals to control odour! So awesome, do you work for one of these companies that sell all the chemicals? Lol
@@toddmansfield5768 nah, I just recently started making my own and watching vids to see different ingredients ppl use. I made this and gave it to a friend. She says it's very nice but the fragrance doesn't last long only upto 3-4 hours. Can I add more essential oil. If yes, how much more can I add?
That's such an awesome gift for your friend. I would only increase the essential oil by 5 to 8 more drops as you don't want the oils to burn the skin as the underarms are very sensitive. All the best.
Hi 👋🏾 You don't have to use beeswax, you can use other vegan friendly waxes such as Carnauba or soy. However, I strongly recommend some form of wax because it helps to keep the deodorant in its natural solid form and prevents it from melting.
Jojoba oil is one of my favourites too. Yes, Bergamot is a part of the citrus family and is very fragrant. It's my sunny, sweet citrusy scent. Thank you for watching!
I've used them up to 6 months at a time and had no issue with them melting. I would suggest if you live in a country where the climate is hot, then you would need to keep it in a cool place in your house and it would also be best to not leave it in the car 😉
I've not experienced it happening, it's year 3 using this and I live in Canada and so far the Summers haven't been that hot for it to fail me. Thanks for watching!

Hi there! This recipe has worked well for myself and my children. I would strongly suggest doing an armpit detox first as by doing so I felt it helped to transition from regular to all natural deodorant. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for watching!
if you eat a mainly plant based diet (reduce meat to 10% or less of your total daily intake, and avoid dairy) minimize alcohol and sugar and of course, no drugs, then you may not even need any deodorant. a meat diet makes the body have to work harder to digest it, hence the smelly poops, sweat and other offgases...
