I got a video that shows what all those letters and numbers mean. The Letter and number at the end represent the tote that the over flow package would go along with, as we all know when you do a backup/Rescue you get all the packages that go along with that tote. Then the middle group is what row the package goes too, and the first is conveyer belt. And well we all know the last thing the bottom group of numbers is for the driver. Just thought you might like to know?
Just started today by myself i was sh***y at everybody and everything. Nobody showed me how to organize nothing and i had a small van with no shelves. Please go into more detail of how you line yours up especially the crates.
Screenshot everything at loadout when you scan your cart...the bags wont be in order on your cart..dont swipe to finish..until you have the bags organized..
Thanks Jo. Organization videos are hard to find. I had my first delivery day and I was very unorganized because I didn't understand the driver aid numbers. Oh, and my van had no shelves. I was working straight out of the totes. Thanks again. Very helpful.
I use my first bag and set it up on the front passenger seat as a table and use that for my envelopes and organize them. I do write on the boxes but you’re right, it’s time consuming. I’m going to try this out, especially the overflow process you showed. I’m in a smaller van right now though so majority of my overflow has to be on the floor or on top of bags
I don't mark overflow IF I have a low amount of them, but on runs of near 400 where I have a TON of overflow small box I HAVE to mark the ends because I will be stacked floor to ceiling and I got very fast at quick marking and loading up. If I had a smaller route somehow though and I had the ability to show labels then I did not waste the time.
Great video! During loadout before you swipe to finish. i organizes my tote that way than looking at each cart. I use to organize but i kind of stop doing it and pick whatever in that tote
Love your video and it’s very clever how you’ve figured this out but two questions could you do a video explaining more on how you do the paper thing for over flows so we can understand better how you do that?… And my other question 🙋🏽♂️ how would you organize it In the cargo vans cause I believe this is a step van no?… wouldn’t it be a bit different? Also also is it smarter to just get driving the step vans instead of the cargo vans… I start with Amazon in like 2 weeks so I wanna be at my best for this peak season. Thanks for your help appreciate it brother 🫡🙏🏽👍🏽👌🏽
Thank you! and Yes sure will do... I will do a video about the overflows... it's the same way with the cargo. I use the shelf behind the driver seat and below that but i don't pack all the bags to the back of the cargo van. I leave space depending on how much overflows i have and the shelf to the door, i put my first set of overflows there... Yea it's better to drive the stepvan but you would have to be qualified to drive it. You have to do a medical and some obstacle course.
I am starting training on Sunday I am doing part time sat and Sunday only. I been watching videos on beat organization you made more detail video great tips I appreciate it
on the carts? not in all cases. If they pack it in order, sure it would be the bags on top deliver first. Sometimes your first bag will be at the bottom of the cart. so just use the app to organize your bags.
Most of my routes were mapped all wrong so I just got used to never organizing. Just had to be quick when finding stuff. A lot of times I had zero space to organize anyway so I found it easier to not organize at all lol. Just left envelopes close to me and boxes by the sliding door.
Nice video Jo, my trainer didn’t teach me how to to organize at all and I need to increase my drops per hour. PEAK season is coming up. I have a question, if I have the smaller trucks how can I organize my work area. I don’t like to use the passenger seat to work. I like to use the side door and back doors for overflow. Please lmk what’s the best way for a smaller van that’s full for PEAK season! Keep up the great videos
Keep this in mind. Keep 1 or 2 markers with you in a pocket or backpack. When u get to your first stop - take 5 minutes and on each overflow package just write it big on the box so u don’t have to look at the small tag number
Me personally my routine is , my first stop I write all my overflow numbers so I can just eye them quickly when it’s time to grab it. Then depending if my first tote is a lot or not, I’ll throw a few up on the dashboard or even on the ground next to me. Then I put all the “small” and medium boxes on that shelf right there where it shows 5:06 in the video. Then when u already have done 3 or 4 stops, it’s so much easier to grab and go. U can just throw them wherever in front of u or on ground & you’ll see what package you need before u head to the next house bro
- “when I say throw a few” I meant regular packages outta the totes. My overflow always stays in the back common sense lol.. unless a stop is coming up and it’s an easy overflow u want to ride up in front w you or closer to the door. Especially if you inside the rivian electric van. My first month I was in damn small hot vans
thanks for watching. for smaller vans, it can be difficult in peak season. If you cant hold just tell them. they ill assign the overflow to someone else. I think i will do a video on that
Hey, would you do a video on tips for new drivers. I’m starting next week and I’m a bit anxious about the process, I feel like im just being thrown out there.
not a delivery driver. u poppped up on my recommended. how do you know which which packages are in what bags? will your device just say to deliver all packages in the green bag first an you just look for it in the bag? how you know where to look for a package when you arrive at a stop
I’m a flex driver about to become an Amazon dsp and when I do the flex I usually number the boxes with the the number of the stop it is but I was wondering how as a driver to organize the truck since Amazon drivers has 10 times more packages than flex driver
I been struggling with organizing I feel like that’s what slows me down and cuts a lot of time on me feeling pressured right now my dsp manager keeps calling me telling me he keeps sending me rescues
It definitely does slow you down if youre not organized. Try to do it for couple days then dont organize for couple days to compare. Hope the video helps

@@GodisKing1219 you will and I'm here to help u guys with my experience. I have a video I'm exporting hopefully later in the evening or monday even the latest
Same. I'm every organized person it's just the making sure getting out on time for me and I wish they'll start doing rescues too many times it slows me down sometimes too. Oh ok so don't assume that all the totes bags are in order on the cart??? That explains alot while after I've loaded LIFO an all my bags are not in proper order there suppose to be in so basically were doing the loaders jobs to lol???
Thanks I'm a couple months into it and I'm already starting to notice it. I like to take screen shots of my Bags Route Order stops on the flex app at the beginning of the day so I can keep track of what Bag number / stops I should be doing and another thing is experienced drivers tell me Stick to Bag at a time no matter what makes sense
My mentor it's gane go to shit to be honest the added speed atention on it now and because of that my mentor never goes up I never drove in a 7kmh area under 20kmh so that affects my mentor allot how can I make it go up Anand do my delivery I don't do breack already so what can I do about that
If you don't have shelves, you can lay out your small packages (from the bags) across your unopened bags. As you empty them, you can fold them up and lay them out across the unopened bags to create a flat surface for your small packs. When I open a new bag I'll put 50s 60s 70s in different spots across the bag-shelves I've made. By doing this, I honestly don't care whether I get a van without shelves. Actually, I prefer not having shelves because it means not being on Netradyne for the day lol.
