Make no mistake. THESE GUYS ARE TRAINED. To the point that they train on their because they know what it takes to do the job that very few other units are capable. People in charge know if these guys are slacking... in any way. Side note, love watching you guys. Keep up the great work 👍.

The thing that most people who hear about Red Cell don't realize, is that Red Cell was also a cover for a covert SEAL team carrying out offensive, counter-terrorism operations and direct action missions against enemy nations overseas, while operating under the guise of a Naval security team. But the public legal incident ruined Red Cell's cover story.

The truth was it was a witch hunt for embarrassing all the commanding officers who's bases were shown to be vulnerable. The conviction of CMDR. Marcinko for defrauding the government was because they said he ordered too many shoe laces. He was one of the greatest skippers and is greatly missed. RIP brother

My unit went up against these guys, and we "won."
We did the mission, and 19 of them took out 250 of our guys.
It was embarrassing, like we were children.

I read the book back in the 80s. Many officers in the Pentagon had no field experience, which is dangerous for Special Ops teams. Incompetent leadership can br life-ending. I think their leadership in the pentagon comes from different officers than regular military.
These guys are not the type to lose their minds over liquor. Their physical and mental training is far more excruciating.

Marcinko was a colorful person, but his problem was a sheer lack of following anyone's commands when not actively performing duties as part of red cell. Red cell was necessary and likely still is (and may still exist). Marcinko, however, became an issue and decided to become an author who tells tall tales.

All special forces deserve respect... my cousin was an army ranger paratrooper that served with the 82nd and 101st... he ended up drinking himself to death because of all he went through...

Couldn’t agree more, sorry to hear ab your cousin no joke but he was a badass no doubt. Wish we had better mental health care for our vets, when is that gonna happen? If ever… your cousin should have gotten the help he earned & deserved. Stay strong & know most Americans appreciate the sacrifice of soldiers like your cousin & their families. There are a lot of patriots in our country, reach out to them? & you will find help my friend, good luck & thank you to your cousin, rangers lead the way

Great reaction guys and if you fancy a read, look into the book titled "Rogue Warrior ", it's the autobiography of Richard Marcinko and how he put together the seal teams and training. 💯💯💯👍👍👍

The whole idea of Red Cell was to expose vulnerabilities under any scenario. The guard was a vulnerability. The subsequent torture was pointless, so why did they do it? You cant be a member of these teams and be an idiot.

When I was a Navy Diver, we would have EOD teams do Port security in places like Subic Bay, Yokosuka, and Guam due to their strategic importance. But I did a couple of Op's while TAD in places like Korea and Diego Garcia as part of my duties on a sub tender. We had some training, but far less than those who did it for a living. In my opinion, the U.S. has too many overseas bases to maintain proper security due to a lack of trained personnel.

@@SuperBigblue19 now that I’m not in a rush to get to work? I’ll give a longer reply, that just feeds to my fire that I think I need to serve a couple of years in our military at least. I’m in my mid 20’s & finishing my college degree soon, thinking I might try to enlist after that, not to be a navy diver? But I’m sure they could use me somewhere to contribute to bolstering our military presence & strength. Your comment reflects the sentiment I’ve heard from a lot of retired military guys, active, reserve, national guard, etc. over the past year or so
Thanks for serving our country & being a navy diver is badass just saying. Diving isn’t for me I think though, heard too many cave diving & open water death stories to even wanna try diving. Somebody’s gotta do it & im glad it’s not me doing the military diving tbh. Leave that to the navy seals & navy divers😵‍💫… wish I could do more than say thanks but thanks for serving our country sir

What do you mean proper training???
They kept a;ll their qualifications up to date. The same as any other members of the teams.
In fact their ammunition allotment was more than entire company sized units in the Marine Corps.
These guys are spec ops They are trained to be the most terrifying people on the battlefield. They don't need alcohol to be this way.
