@@De_Vegi nope it isn't. I served in the Army myself, I have buddies in all branches and its true. We have the top 2 most powerful air forces, our Navy being the best Air Force. Our navy has 11 nuclear aircraft carriers each carrying 70 air craft, not to mention their older smaller aircraft carriers and other vessels that can carry air craft as well. Even the Marines, Army and Coast gaurd have their own Aviation units.
@@28dirtj Incorrect. The US Air Force is the world's largest, with 5,189 aircraft in active service. The US Army comes in second, with 4,409 aircraft. The US Navy comes in third with 4,012 aircraft. Then the Russian Air Force comes in at number four, with 3,864 aircraft. Though given their utter failure to take air superiority in the face of the Ukrainian Air Force's staggering 40 or so warplanes, I suspect that most of the Russian Air Force only exists on paper.

@@UncleFexxerthe two they have are not operational. I believe one always catches on fire and the other has to essentially be permanently attached to a dock or it’ll roll over.
The outcome of a "power play" is irrelevant. The term is used often on Poker when someone makes a play to attempt to establish themselves. For better or worse the play is a power play. Iran made a power play, just didn't work out in their favor.
Also, the US has the largest Navy in the world. It is larger than the next 5 largest navy's put together. Fun fact, the 2nd largest navy is the US retired ship fleet. We don't fuck around when it comes to the navy 😂
China has a larger navy on paper, the problem is they count every inflatable raft and canoe as a naval vessel. Another "paper tiger" like Russia. The US Navy is much larger in terms of tonnage and firepower.
What's that saying? "Beauty and courage are both valueless characteristics.". Someone can be beautiful or courageous without being good or intelligent.
Actually they are right, Iran is very brave but at the same time Iran is also very stupid. I mean yeah what Iran does is the same as you accidentally removing the key on a grenade and 'oh it's off, well it looks like it'll be fine' and putting it in the pocket
🤨🤔Almost 4 decades ago, I had a drill sergeant who constantly told us the meaning of life. To quote him, "To have your best chance to survive, remember there is a fine line drawn between bravery and stupidity."😵🤕🤔
As a matter of fact, Russia"s Navy is piss poor. Before it snatched Crimea off Ukraine its only major ports were cold sea ports on the Baltic and the Arctic which were frozen for months at a time. This was why they felt the need to invade. Even still, if they have issues with NATO, Turkey wouldn't allow them access through the Bosphorus or the Dardanelles into the Mediterranean. Therefore not only have they very limited access, they are also so shite a Navy as they have lost several warships to a country who hasn't even got a Navy, and now has decided to hide their ships to save losing any more of them to small drones. As a Brit myself from an Island Nation with a great history of Naval warfare, I'm disgusted at the lack of Naval knowledge a fellow Brit has. The US Navy is by far the most powerful. Don't go by the number of ships since Countries like China and Russia count all of their ships owned by the Navy, whereas the US only counts it's Warships. It's best to go by water displacement tonnage by which it's very clear who has the most powerful Navy.
I'm not going to bash them for not knowing because my Fellow Americans are just as ill-informed. But you did make a good point not going off numbers because if we went off numbers North Korea has the biggest submarine fleet in the world but they're shit
Thanks to MORE Putin stupidity. The Baltic Fleet is now bottled up by Sweden-alone. Not even counting Finland, Baltic States, Denmark, Poland and Germany helping them out.

The US for all our flaws does try to fight wars within international law. We avoid civilian targets, focus on military or industrial targets that achieve a mission and where possible prefer to destroy things rather than people. But when fired upon we will eliminate the threat without apology. Our goal is not world domination but peace through diplomacy backed by strength. Since WWII we have e tried to establish and follow an international order based on the rule of law. In each case reflected here all Iran had to do was nothing.
I mean, they do, but their most powerful surface warship (the sister-ship to the Moskva, which was suddenly converted to a submarine by the Ukrainians a while back) is almost 50 years old. Their submarine force is a bit more modern and threatening, but even it is mostly made up of badly outdated submarines that NATO has been able to detect and track since the Cold War was still a thing.
@@Tjrissi96 Which is almost certainly a barely sea-worthy wreck. They also have an aircraft carrier, but it keeps randomly catching fire every few years, and hasn't been considered a relevant part of their fleet in decades. Their actual most powerful surface warships are their Slava-class Cruisers, the Marshal Ustinov and the Varyag, the two surviving sister-ships to the Moskva (the one the Ukrainians sank in 2022). They were overhauled in 2016 and 2008 respectively, so theoretically should have the most powerful and advanced systems available to the Russian Navy. The Moskva had similar upgrades, which apparently didn't do much for it since corruption, shoddy maintenance and poor discipline left it with most of its detection systems and air defenses offline when the Ukrainians started firing missiles at it.
The sad thing is that Russia SHOULD be on the same level as the USA militarily. However, due to the sheer amount of corruption and incompetence, they are basically a paper tiger.
On the question of "Who has the best Navy?".. the undeniable answer is America. This is a result/consequence of WWII. Prior to WWII not only had a small Navy but we had a smaller overall Military. Basically WWII made America realize we should take advantage of the distance between us and the rest of the world. Its tough and expensive to cross those oceans and we saw the damage going on in Europe. It became our policy to address problems (as we see them) on the other side of the world to keep those problems from getting to us. An added factor in this is that Europe was largly broke as a result of WWII. Lots of dead men. Industry in a shambles. Whereas America was largly untouched during WWII and our wartime production was in place and running at high speed. We were also not crippled financially. This is what started America become such a huge and expensive Military. Our Navy is unmatched. Not really even close. Strip away factors like nukes and countries helping eachother fight and no other country even comes close in size or capabilities. Almost all OTHER Navies struggle to fight more than 1000 miles from home for anything more than a couple weeks. Supply is critical. No other country has the global supply chain in place that is required to keep our several large fleets able to circle the globe or loiter around most regions of the world for extended periods of time. That is probably the most underrated part of our entire Military. Mobility and Supply. All branches are highly mobile with a lot of effort put into maintaining a secure supply chain. We broke Russia financially (on purpose) to end the Cold War. Basically we out spent them. We spent more over a long period of time than Russia could keep up with and that broke them. China? For all the talk about Chinas Military, they arent strong enough to figure out Taiwan yet and they are a small island 1000 miles away. Several western countries have top notch capapbilities and train regularly with America.. but they are small by comparison. Head to head, none of our oen allies would last long. Americas biggest weakness is probably in how many Military commitments we have around the world. Deals to defend other nations or agreements to come to their aide if they get attacked by the bad guys. We need to be careful to make sure we dont have too many conflicts to manage at the same time. 1 big conflict and 2 or 3 smaller conflicts or 2 big conflicts stretches our abilities. Having said that, the "average country" struggles to manage what we would consider a smaller conflict. Conflicts we simply send rapid reaction task forces to handle. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines all have well trained forces ready to deploy or already deployed at all times. They cross train and can come together to work as 1 combined force when needed. They do this all the time. No other country can really accomplish this on a large scale. We are big enough to do this on several fronts at the same time while our industrial war machine would shift into high gear as we would then inflate the size of our military to reinforce or rotate or add to the amount of soldiers already involved. Sorry so wordy. Lol
"This is a result/consequence of WWII. Prior to WWII not only had a small Navy" Dont agree with this sentence Gary, Usa had quiete a significant Navy going into ww2, the actions at pearl harbor where however catastrophic, but before that happened Usa had a fleet to be reckoned with.
I was going to say the US navy has been pretty sizable since the Spanish American War and per the Washington naval treaty (which was intended to stop a naval arms race post ww1 by creating ratios of allowed ships above certain tonnage for different countries) the U.S. was tied with the British Empire.
Keep in mind, all of those military commitments the US has allows the US to have military bases around the world. Allowing them to mobilize quickly in far-off regions. If one of our enemies wanted to mobilize against the US, they would have to spend days, if not weeks, transporting warships and planes across the globe. While the US could be at the front door of our enemies within hours, because we have thousands of troops parked at their neighbors. Those commitments also mean the US has also been at war for over 200 years, fighting our own battles and those of our allies. Which means the US military has active military experience. China and India have the advantage of numbers, but their top generals have often NEVER experienced live combat. They are all essentially newbies, going against season veterans. They have studied in school what to expect, while the US military has actually lived it.
@@W78thIS Agreed. Having all those bases spread out around the globe also provides secure places to mobilize, deploy and sock pile supplies closer to the theater of operation as more assets are brought to the fight. The tip of our spear is sharp for sure.. but the shaft of the spear is frequently underrated. The supply chain costs as much as the fighting end of that equation. Its the global supply chain that others cant afford or maintain for any length of time. And when they try, knocking out their supply chain becomes as much or more important than whats going on at the front. Kill the supplies and the enemy dies fast. Plus supply is more vulnerable and less risky to attack than the head to head battles going on at the front.
16:43 just so you know, it may be lost in translation.. but when he said the planes "buzzed the ship" he doesn't mean they fired at the ship... just flew real close to it. the planes did not attack the ship first.

@@scotthill1600I mean that’s fine until literally we are the ones trying to establish and respect an international order so we don’t have to waste all of our money and power on being so strong as to enforce massive national threats and flouting of law ourselves (but only when we bother to) instead of on prosperity. It’s the natural eventual consequence of returning to a multipolar world and at least playing ball in the world we expect Russia and China to join is really damn important to that sort of thing. Just look at how civil conventions, money and political fiction has brought the EU together so effectively, even despite problems. The world can’t do the same when we have people like Trump in our political system that threaten to blow up the international systems of reliability and trust, or bail on the Paris accord to… own the left? That world is far cheaper and most of the time more effective to get buy in on than “let’s just trust that America will be good and spend its power wisely forever” cause especially now- it’s hard to see that argument having universal appeal.
I've heard people asking "Why nobody was named with group Alpha".... Because "Alpha" would have been used to indicate the ENTIRE USA navy group in the operation. Which means that "Group Alpha" would be everyone, while the Group B-C-D portion were simply a set number of ships assigned to specific targets ONLY.
not completely disagreeing with you, because that could happen. However in most cases it's a psychological strategy. If Iran is monitoring radio traffic, and they keep hearing about Bravo, Charlie, and Delta...that begs the question....where's Alpha, and what are they doing ??? creates strategic uncertainty, which causes the strategy makers to over think, and try an encompass every scenario at once. With limited resources, of a smaller military that can be extremely taxing.
I just assumed that Alpha group was the aircraft carrier. They would be the most powerful part of the fleet that was involved in the operation even though it was just supposed to be insurance.
@@jakeseward9035 yeah, that's what logic would dictate. military doesn't run on logic a lot of the times. lol Since Enterprise wasn't part of the operation, she'd have just maintained her own designation, apart from the operational designations handed out to the groups taking part. That way, operational people who are monitoring the comms. can easily differentiate between radio chatter between who's taking part, and who's not. That way they know what's priority in cases that need to be relayed. Like the dispatch sent to Reagan to let him know a fast attack boat was heading right for group C.
It’s a psychological thing… if there’s Bravo, Charlie, & Delta here - Where’s Alpha?!? Are there more strike groups?!? It’s the same reason SEAL Team 6 (DEVGRU) was named “6” because JSOC didn’t want the enemy to know how many teams there were. By starting with “6” it left the enemy wondering where the other five teams were.
The tanker escort mission was called Operation Earnest Will. When we would enter or leave the gulf through the Straits of Hormuz, Iran would light us up with their Silkworm missile radars. the USAF is the most powerful and well rounded with a diverse platform of craft and oodles of choices. The Navy's is the second most powerful, but their craft are mostly relegated to ship offense/defense with some coastal strikes here and there. Also, and I could be very mistaken, but I believe the USAF is the only branch with drones, or they own the vast majority.

It's the US. China has more ships but less tonnage and most of their ships are limited a range of 1000 miles under ideal conditions. The US Navy outstrips them by order of magnitude.

Yep, we're self-sufficient. We don't need anything from other countries. Ppl who think we're in the Middle East for oil are stupid and need to educate themselves.
So fun fact, one of the A-6 missions during the Vietnam war was to go up and intentionally let the SAMS (surface to air missiles) fire on them and get a lock back to the control site. They had to let the missiles track them long enough to get a solid lock so if they shut off the radar they could still hit the control site. So they would attract the missiles, wait for them to track them long enough, then fire their missiles to take out the control site then try and avoid/escape the missiles that are tracking them. A-6 flight teams have nerves of steel.
Close F4s flew in to get sites to lock on to them then A6s would take out the site F4s had better chance to defeat the missile being far faster and more maneuverable these missions was called wild weasels missions
@@certautoserv Those missions were called "Wild Weasel" by the the Air Farce. The similar Navy missions were called "Iron Hand". The movie "Flight of the Intruder" has a scene explaining this ... Great movie, BTW! ^v^

If an international court decides you’ve committed a war crime there’s really nothing they can do about it. It’s pretty much a slap on the wrist, like getting a citation in school.
Well, the head of state can be declared a "war criminal" which means he/she-WHATEVER is subject to arrest by any nation willing to do so. The International Court at the Hague can sentence you to prison. That's why Putin stopped travelling, actually.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means" "Brave"... Let me explain this, as quickly as possible. The US Navy was created for one reason. To deal with pirates. Not the Disney version, but real "I'll kill you for your stuff if you don't pay me not to" pirates. It's in the Navy charter, and it's also the reason the US Marines don't require Congressional approval to be deployed. Fat Electrician has another video about it. I suggest you watch it. The thumbnail on it says "Potential".
You could learn a lot listening to the "Fat Electrician." Nick has a very unique delivery for his "Historical Presentations." He talks fast so you have to listen closely but he covers a huge amount of world history... a lot relating to the United States. Very entertaining!
Modern naval vessels have rather thin hulls. The main reason for this is because of anti-ship missiles that are designed to penetrate armor (a lot of Soviet-bloc anti-ship missiles were designed to kill Iowa-class battleships that have 30.1 cm of hardened steel armor) and since making a ship carry enough armor to resist modern weapons would make the ship way too large, heavy, and expensive to be useful, everyone pretty much gave up on trying to make ships carry armor and instead focus on trying to decoy, jam, or shoot down incoming missiles (or destroy the vehicles carrying those missiles first).
The Iranian government at that time had very little respect for the USA (following the hostage crisis during President Carter in 1979). They perceived the USA to be very weak. However, the Iranians released the hostages as soon as President Regan took office. Afterwards, they still reasoned that the US government was still weak and insisted on testing Regan. After all these decades it still amazes me how much of this part world still "Misunderestimated" (sic) US leadership.
The US has the strongest Navy and has since the end of WWII. The largest air force in the world is the US Air Force, the second largest air force is the United States Navy.
Regarding Ronald Reagan, he was the greatest President of the US in the modern Era. He forced Russia to collapse the Berlin wall that decided East & West Germany and kept a last portion of Germany under Communist Russia rule. Reagan also reason the USSR collapsed. This freed many other nations that were under communist Rule. Regan also created NATO out of those newly freed nations that Russia used to rule under USSR. Reagan also freed a couple of countries in South America. There are 3 American Presidents whose names are held in immensely high regard in different countries around the world, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Donald J. Trump. Mean while, Obama & Biden are recognized as being embarrassments to America.
The US actually has the first AND second largest Air Force in the world. The first being the US Air Force with a total of 5,217 aircraft, The second largest is the US Navy with a total of 4,012 aircraft. The fifth largest Air Force in the world is also the US Marine Corps with a total of 1,211 aircraft.
Let me explain the "weight" of bombs...when someone says a "500 pound" bomb, the bomb does not weigh 500 pounds. It just means that bomb has the same explosive power as 500 pounds of dynamite. So a thousand pound bomb has the same explosive power as a thousand pounds of TNT!
The bombs actually are filled with either H-6 or PBNX -109 that's come from Aviation Ordananceman that's used to put these munitions together USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72 06-11, weps, G-3 division, 64 mag night check supervisor IYAOYAS!!!!
The American Navy is also the second strongest Air Force in the world. The us navy is so big and powerful if can take on every other navy on earth combined and win. Easily.
The US aircraft pilots wanting to put their years of training/practice/deployments to use. You don't get to be a jet combat pilot without a bit of bravado. A friend who was a Marine described the itch to be active like this: He was never deployed to active combat and was glad for it. But it is like showing up to every practice and training for 6 months to then spend 3.5 years sitting on the bench at every game. Rainy days, sunny days. Hot days and cold days. "Come on coach, put me in." A large part of you wants it. You want to get into the game. The game in this case being combat, but it is your first years and career as an independent adult, out of high school usually. You just want it. Pilots are older with longer training so probably 20-26 instead of 18-22. Probably have the same urge however. Why the UN has a veto and enforcement of international law: As to what would happen with War Crimes if the ICJ or other international body made some ruling. Who will enforce it. What countries military force would do it. The UN security council is how it is with the 5 vetos for this reason. If a country wanted to enforce something militarily against the British, Chinese, French, Russian(USSR pre-1991) or Americans it would need to be one of the other major powers, especially in 1945 when the UN was set up and those were the remaining great powers. So it is better to give a diplomatic way to say no, than just military posturing or war. The league of Nations failed at the start of World War 2 because no great power wanted to check Japan, and when the nations voted against Japan, Japan just gave the middle finger and left the League in 1933. This closed off paths of diplomatic discussion. The other majors powers didn't want to go to war over the issue and the US was not a part of the League, even though it proposed its creation in the aftermath of WW1. The US had turned isolationist after an election cycle in the time it took for the League to be set up. So when the UN was created, the people setting it up realized that if the major powers weren't willing to use force against each other to enforce a ruling, they gave each of those major powers a veto and the security council permanent seat. This allows the UN to not have it's authority undermined by having it's rulings ignored. The Security council veto keeps diplomacy on the table. It's a flawed system but it has lasted nearly 100 years, the League of nations lasted from 1920-1936, with Japan leaving in 1933.
The problem with Russia is their stuff is old and always not in the best working order. The US Navy has the largest number of warships (484) and submarines (67) among all countries. Additionally, the US Navy has a significant military spending budget of $877 billion, which enables it to maintain a large and technologically advanced fleet. Other countries, such as China, Russia, and Japan, have significant naval capabilities, the US Navy’s overall size, technological advancements, and global reach make it the strongest navy in the world.
OK, the F-14 is a FIGHTER PLANE, NO at this time it could not take down a ship on the ocean's surface, BUT it is equipped with 20 mm rotary cannon, and they can strafe the decks of an enemy ship, NOW the A-6, on the other hand is quite capable of sinking enemy ships QUICKLY, so when the Enterprise responded to the Willie Tide's call for help, the A-6's were to deal with the surface targets, the F-14's were there to protect the A-6's.
China says they have the largest. But they also count canoes in that number. USA is largest by far. Russia does have some boats, but on the ship that was the flagship in the black sea, only one gun was working. And the radios and the radar was on the same frequency. They couldnt use the radar and the radio at the same time. After that is the UK and India. Depends on whether it is number of ships or number of tons total.
The low fly by on the frigate was intentional. They knew the anti aircraft guns couldn't hit them, but they had to draw initial fire in order to be able to engage. And then, they unleashed hell.
and to also record what happens when you touch an American Ship, which, iirc, the official policy about doing so for most of the world nowadays (and possibly even back then) is "Fucking Don't"
16:58 The 2 planes did not fire on the iranian ship ( buzzing ) a ship is flying extremely close past it going thru the sound barrier which gives out a hell of a sonic boom.
This is one of the US's small responses to an attack. Look up the Barbary War and President Reagan's response to Lebanon. Def Leppard's, Gods of War from their 1987 album Hysteria, even used his quote as a song intro.
When running for president, a reporter asked Reagan how he'd solve the Iranian hostage crisis. He said, "Nuke Tehran." When he was elected, Iran decided they didn't want to find out if he was kidding or not.
The reason the U.S. Navy is so formidable (aside from the unprecedented amount of funding, staffing, training, and weapons technology) is that we are actually able to build these kinds of ships. Most can't. You need a very deep port for them, and you have to transport parts, like engines the size of buildings to the port, which must themselves be transported by water, they're too big for road transport. So you need navigable rivers near deep ports. The geographic features needed are rare, most countries don't have them. Those who do, usually don't have the money. The few who have the money, the geographic features and infrastructure are all incidentally NATO members and often buy boats form the US because it's still cheaper, and they're protected by the US Navy, so they don't need massive ships, just general purpose ships. The UK does usually build their own, but they tend to be a lot smaller, and less specialized. That means other nations need to spend many times more than the US to build smaller and fewer ships. It's not that they can't build them, but they can't build them as large, as numerous, as quicly, or as cheaply as we can. Even China can't really compete here. Russia can but they face some other challenges. They have the capacity to match us in theory, but in practice, not even close, It would take their whole GDP for a decade to catch up right now. They could only do it through strategic alliances with other nations who would be footing the majority of the bill, and people aren't lining up to do that. And if we saw them ramping up production, there would be economic counter-measures imposed that would further complicate things for them.
The US Navy has the largest number of ships in the world. It also has more aircraft than any other navy on the planet. The US military budget is about $850 billion a year, and that number is larger than every other nation combined.
I loved my 14 years in the US Army. I was tired, cold and hungry all the time. But I worked, and suffered, with great people, and I knew my friends we're at home doing nothing. Worth it! ❤❤
You may be thinking of how the yield of a *nuclear* weapon is expressed. These aren't nuclear weapons. Aircraft can carry a certain amount of weight. For example , the B-2 can carry 40,000 pounds (officially). So it has racks available for 80 x 500 pound bombs like the Mk-82, or 16 x 2,000 pound Mk-84. So conventional bombs are described by actual weight, because bombers can carry a certain amount of weight.
Russia, was in fact watching how the US conducted itself in war. Seeing what kind of technology we have and how they could potentially counteract it. It wasn't bravery on Iran's part, it was stupidity. They should have known better, and look where I got them.

Iran: “we’re gonna show you what we’re made of”
US: “nah, WE’ER gonna show what your made of….by reverse engineering your entire navy”

The United States is not a signatory to the treaty that established the International Criminal Court (ICC), so even if the US had been found guilty of a war crime they have no obligation to cooperate with the court. Basically there would be some finger wagging, but nothing of consequence would happen.

@@cameron4562I fckin love that, we make our own rules, not an international court

@@jakeseward9035 yeah, that's what logic would dictate. military doesn't run on logic a lot of the times. lol
Since Enterprise wasn't part of the operation, she'd have just maintained her own designation, apart from the operational designations handed out to the groups taking part.
I was on the USS Merrill (DD-976), SAG B, during this engagement. We wound up doing all the shooting on the Sassan oil platform because Lynde B. McCormick's gun had dropped sync and was "walking" and they couldn't fix it in time.

So fun fact, one of the A-6 missions during the Vietnam war was to go up and intentionally let the SAMS (surface to air missiles) fire on them and get a lock back to the control site.
The USA tends not to use its most powerful weapons unless pushed too hard

The Iranian government at that time had very little respect for the USA (following the hostage crisis during President Carter in 1979). They perceived the USA to be very weak. However, the Iranians released the hostages as soon as President Regan took office. Afterwards, they still reasoned that the US government was still weak and insisted on testing Regan. After all these decades it still amazes me how much of this part world still "Misunderestimated" (sic) US leadership.
The US has the strongest Navy and has since the end of WWII. The largest air force in the world is the US Air Force, the second largest air force is the United States Navy.
and the fifth largest air force in the world is also the US Marine Corps.
The US Navy is the largest Navy in the world and also has the second largest Air Force as well.
Russia's navy has been slowly becoming submarines.
Let me explain the "weight" of bombs...when someone says a "500 pound" bomb, the bomb does not weigh 500 pounds. It just means that bomb has the same explosive power as 500 pounds of dynamite. So a thousand pound bomb has the same explosive power as a thousand pounds of TNT!
nope a 500lb bomb weighs 500lb it contains 296lb of tritonal same thing for the 1000lb bomb it has 445lb of tritonal IYAAYAS
You're confusing it with explosive yield. A Mk82 bomb is a 500lb bomb, and it weighs 500lbs
I am saddened that 26 people like your BS. Go in the corner and think about what you have done!
A friend who was a Marine described the itch to be active like this:
He was never deployed to active combat and was glad for it.
Why the UN has a veto and enforcement of international law:
As to what would happen with War Crimes if the ICJ or other international body made some ruling.
OK, the F-14 is a FIGHTER PLANE, NO at this time it could not take down a ship on the ocean's surface, BUT it is equipped with 20 mm rotary cannon, and they can strafe the decks of an enemy ship, NOW the A-6, on the other hand is quite capable of sinking enemy ships QUICKLY, so when the Enterprise responded to the Willie Tide's call for help, the A-6's were to deal with the surface targets, the F-14's were there to protect the A-6's.
people always underestimating us Americans
If you guys think Russian navy is good may i recommend Lazerpigs: What Sank the Moskva video
There is a huge difference between bravery and stupidity!
Their bravery looked a whole lot like poor military decision making.
Lol Russia! Have you been paying attention to Ukraine!🤣
Te reason russia was taking pictures was for intel on what and how the US Navy would engage in surface combat.
and to also record what happens when you touch an American Ship, which, iirc, the official policy about doing so for most of the world nowadays (and possibly even back then) is "Fucking Don't"
Its funny because the American Navy is legitimately on par with the next 8 navies combined.
16:58 The 2 planes did not fire on the iranian ship ( buzzing ) a ship is flying extremely close past it going thru the sound barrier which gives out a hell of a sonic boom.
Wasn't sure how you guys rolled until I heard you make fun of Biden, you guys are now my favorite youtubers ✊️✊️👊
And that’s what we know about. So it’s probably double. Just like every “new” weapon we hear about, as a rule, has been around for atleast 30 years.
I loved my 14 years in the US Army. I was tired, cold and hungry all the time. But I worked, and suffered, with great people, and I knew my friends we're at home doing nothing. Worth it! ❤❤
The 1000lb bombs don’t weigh 1000lbs. They contain the equivalent of 1000 lbs of tnt
I was hoping someone would point that out. I was laughing at his mansplaining “… 1,000 lbs + gravity…” lol
@@angelviloria4966 Mansplaining? Really? Fucking third wave feminists lmfao
@@angelviloria4966 imagine unironically saying "mansplaining" 💀 thats even more embarrassing than misunderstanding the missile terminology 😭😭😭
Russia, was in fact watching how the US conducted itself in war. Seeing what kind of technology we have and how they could potentially counteract it.
It wasn't bravery on Iran's part, it was stupidity. They should have known better, and look where I got them.
America has 11 super carriers. Each supercarrier goes with an escort flotilla plus there's a number of other ships by pure tonnage. America has the largest navy on the planet
Additionally, we have carriers, not “super” but yeah, there’s more.
So, 50 years from now, are there going to be young people talking about how brave the youth of today are for commenting on videos about actual things previous generations did?
Not Russia. Their fleets are antiques and very neglected on maintenance . They only have a few new useful ships.
