I’ve always “decades” placed my new towels in the dryer first. To get rid of a lot of the loose lent. Then I’d follow it up with a quick soak of 1 part water to 1 part vinegar. After soaking from 30 minutes to an hour I’ll then start the wash cycle. This has been a life saver for my towels. So fluffy, soft and vibrant🧺
I just got new fluffy bath towels and dealing with the same lint problem... Not any more thanks to you!!! 😊 Thank you so much for making this helpful video!!
This is why I don;'t like buying new towels lol I'll literally use a bath towel for years r=even when they are super thin because I hate hate hate how linty new towels are lol, but im going to try the. Thank you!
I bought these and had a TERRIBLE time with the lint!! I live in an apartment complex and do not have a washer and dryer in my place so I had to go to the laundry room on site. I legit got lint everywhere🤣😭😭😭 I used 5 of the washers because I have 5 different colored towels one type for each person in my family... I cleaned it before my neighbors saw, but I only washed two large towels car washer and there was so much lint inside I had to clean each washer from the inside and I had to sweep the floor and the dryer had so much lint from me drying them that I probably could have sewn a blanket lol (I'm exaggerating but the most lint I've ever seen in one load) it looked like I haven't emptied the lint trap in the dryer for at least five loads or something it was that bad. I'm so glad you did this video I'm going to try that vinegar sure!!! Thankfully I have washed the towels a few times since, and not had as much lint. But this vinegar should stop the problem. My son's towels are the red ones just like what you have and they are absolutely beautiful. Having a different color towel for each person in my family it makes it easy for me because I see who left their towel on the floor and no one uses anyone else's towels. I do wash them all together now, thankfully no bleeding of colors... Just lint
Yes sister it dose work I do This to all my towels when I bay them New I have been doin this trick for over 10yers now it was somthig the my mom thought me a long time ago 😁💖
I like this remedy of avoiding lint from some of my towels that I had purchased 5 1/2 years ago, Ik I’ve been having lints all over the bathroom, from using my old towels when was taking multiple showers each day. I think white vinegar does sound work for me to use it!! What a big difference between water and vinegar results!!!
Should I do this only once after buying new towels, or would you recommend doing it from time to time after the first time? Thanks for making the video btw!
Hello Leonardo, I recommend doing this for the first three - four washes. You will notice the decrease in lint each time. You can also use baking soda as an alternate. I did another video using baking soda. You’re welcome!
I’m glad you said kohls cus I bought some from kohls too they were peeling that was a waste of money. Like we shouldn’t have to go through all this lol but thanks for the video
Hi Davis, welcome to my channel. I’m so glad to have you. I always wash my towels on the normal wash cycle using cold water. Hope it helps and thanks for watching.
@@TracesofTwaunsLife ok noted with many thanks. i tried using artificial vinegar but i googled and a website mentioned that u have to use white vinegar. other kinds will not work
Hi Alicia, you are welcome! You may want to try it a few more washes. However, you will see a decrease in lint all over the bathroom after the first wash.
I bought a set of towels, ironically also red, and they bombed my dryer and washing machine. Took me 3 hours to get them cleaned out. I wish I found this video before I just tossed them through 3 wash cycles as instructed.
I bought new beach towels and tried this but didn't worked for me 😔 im already the 5th time washing them now hopefully they'll get worn-out and stop shedding...is there anything stronger then vinegar please?
I soak all clothes made with red, orange, or or purple fabric in a bucket of vinegar & water to set the dye,so the clothes will not fade as quickly. Also, because of my sensitive skin I do extra rinses on my laundry after using a wash & rinse using detergent. 1-2 cups of vinegar added to a load of laundry followed by 1-2 rinses. It works well to neurtralize the detergent and also as a fabric softener. I do, however; use a small amount of other fabric softener in the final rinse to some of my laundry.
Im having the same EXACT problem. the lint is all over my clothes and bed linen. and when i dried myself after showering. the lint is all over my body and face. frustrating 🥵
@@TracesofTwaunsLife what i experienced was the same as u except the lint was blue in color due to my towel's colour. on the very 1st wash i washed the culprit together with other stuff and the lint was all over. even on my bedsheets. cant believe just 1 towel could turn my life upside down. LOL

I will use vinegar on my new black towels. I bought a couple from JCPenny and from Target. It was all over hubby, myself, floors, UGH!
Yes use it. You may have to use it more than one wash cycle. Its ok. You will notice a difference each wash cycle.
Do I just use one cup of vinegar alone.? or should I add a tide pod too? TY.
Hi Helen, yes use your tide pod too.
This is very nice for you TO teach others. Thanks sister ❤🖒 xoxox stay safe and bless and strong and positive much love from me xoxox

thank you it worked but do i have to do this every time i wash them?
