Thank you guys for a very informative video. I have been procrastinating about painting my fence for 2 years and today was d-day. I had bought the paint, sprayer and brush. I read the reviews on the Ronseal sprayer page and thought I had made a mistake and then stumbled over your review. Im a 58 year old lady who has never done anything like this before. I took heed of your advice by making sure I filled it correctly, I used a big measuring jug and funnel which worked a dream. The most important tip you gave was to check the pressure and this was the golden nugget of information. I did a panel and then pumped it up again. It worked a dream. Also the last piece of advice to de-pressure the cylinder before opening, which I did. Such sound advice. What took me 2 hours to do 2 panels by brush, I took 2 hours to do 5 panels by sprayer. only 10 more panels to do. I then cleaned everything ready for tomorrow. Good luck with your future reviews.
Im in the same boat as you, first time for me too and I'm 53 and not the most successful at DIYer or fence painter..... buttttt after watching these guys and reading your comment I'm raring to go now lol xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I've brought one of these to do all my fencing and I have to say this is the best and most informative review on you tube so thankyou 🥰 thankyou, new subscriber right here 😊 xxxxxxxx
It's what the customer brought we tried to advice to get the decking paint but didn't have any of it. Thankfully it went down ok only time will tell. Thank you for your comment and advice
Just purchased this sprayer the other day, but really struggled with it. I couldn't get the nozzle adjusted to do a general spray - only got a thin jet of spray always that's almost useless to cover larger areas. Did you guys have to do something with the nozzle?
You have have to keep the pressure up as It will spray rubbish. The nozzle on the end of it you have to have it tight but kinda loose aswell. Thank you for the comment
With the size of the paint container, it's impossible not to get the paint all over the place because the hole is too small. You waste half the paint over the side. I ended up using a plastic jug as you need the lip to get the paint in the hole. Also, a waste of time stiring it, I gave up after 10 minutes and unless you have a builders electric paint stirer, don't bother.
See we say the same thing about the filling but if you don't have electricity from the customer then you have to do it by the sprayer. Thank you for your comment

Thanks for the review guys !
Was on a fence whether to get this especially after few negative reviews online.
I will give it a go. Cheers !
nice one lads , exactly what I needed to know :) thanks
Also I used a large plastic funnel for filling the sprayer it made life a lot easier.
Mix thoroughly with a little water... Use a funnel...!!
You must must give it a good mix before you pour it in the sprayer it’s miles better covers so much more and goes on a lot more even
More to the point are you using Ronseal SPRAYABLE paint well stirred before use.?
Can you review… the hair dye the guy on the is using,? Is Ronseal by any chance,??
Is that ronseal one coat fence life? It do say on the tub (instructions bit) not to use it on decking or sanded /smooth wood.

Must be the paint you use , must be sprayable paint
Did you need to water the stain down? Do I need to buy special Ronseal paint for spraying?
No need to water down the stain as comes pre-watered down. You can use any sort off paint longs if it is thin.. Thank you for your comment 👍
@@thereviewguys9513 no not work with any fance paint try today must be sprayable paint and think work better with ronseal paint best
Good review guys. Just got mine from screwfix for £19.99, decent and they presently have an offer on the paint as of date of writing (24/04/21).
Did it make any difference if you mix the paint before you pour it in the sprayer?
Not really that much difference. If there is clumps in the paint then the pressure in the tube thins it down. Thank you for your comment 👍
How do you use the pressure valve?
Pull it up

Why not use a funnel to fill the sprayer ?
Absolute Rubbish wasted a tub trying to use it save your money
Absolutely useless for spraying, dribbles out with maximum pressure , filter is too small.
Waste of money
