    I see how neighbours fences look, dry and paint is just pigment, this one is great, you put 2/3 coats to have 5 years of protection and wonderful finish, but even o e coat is better than anything from supermarket.

    3 coats why do they advertise it as one coat. Looks great nice colour

    You say it covers well but do you need three coats or do you just put 3 coats to get the colour you want

      I would say two coats for a good colour as the wood will absorb if not painted before, 3 coats will give you a nice solid block it just depends on the finish you want.

    it crap the best stuff to buy was creosote but it is banned as Ronseal is just water based so wood still rots so i just use old engine oil as my gate at the side of house as been paint in old engine oil ever year as been up for 15 years but my fence in back garden as been paint in Ronseal ever year as well and as rot way so need new fence now as it was put up at the same time with the gate so don,t wast your money on this

      you realise there are modern eqivalents to creasote..
