@@Betta_Days Hi. Please can I ask u a questions? I see the water level is well below the top of the aquaria. Is this prevent a d of your beautiful boys jumping out? With no cover glass the evaporation must be high? I would be interested to hear why you leave the tanks uncovered. Huge thnx. Love your channel. Fascinating and I learn so much and gives food for thought. Steve Romania
@@stevehornshaw4478 yes I leave the water level low because there isn’t a lid. I also do so to provide room for the house plants that I have in that upper area. The evaporation is pretty high, but I just top it off every day or so. ☺️
Thanks! I've used airline tubing to corral floating plants before, but didn't think of using it to support plants like this pothos before! What a great idea! Love the black tubing too. I've never had that before, but will order some soon. Again, thank you for this DIY!
Awesome bang that’s great thanks could you go over some trouble shoot on your floating plants what works and doesn’t so far in your journey? They are all beautiful
Great video! I love plants, aquariums and DIY, so this was just the thing for me. Just one clarification: The plant at @3:12 is not a "pothos" (Epipremnum aureum), but a Philodendron brazil (Philodendron hederaceum).
@@Betta_Days The bright green one at the first of the video is also a Philodendron the lemon Philodendron, you can tell by the leaves, they are rounder neon pothos of almost the same color
Hi ,what a great idea. Really simple to follow and I will definately be putting some plants around my aquarium now. Thank you 😊p.s your tanks look really cool.
Thank you so much! It makes me so happy that I’m able to help other people find easy ways to enjoy fishkeeping. ☺️ Tag me if you post about your tank after adding the plants! ♥️
Genius! Take my subscription, I've been trying to jerry rig riparian plants for years and have most of mine just flopping around at the moment. Do you have videos exploring different sorts of plants that will grow? There's a ton of 'these plants will grow in water' videos but few with fish tanks, and I'd love to get out of the box of just using the usual suspects
Other than keeping the water low, ideas for not having jumpers without a cover? :/ or making a cover work with plants? (I have three of those marineland 5s you've got, and cut the back out- derp! Well I can always silicone it back lol) my favorite betta jumped a couple days ago (I bred her myself, she was *so* tame and beautiful) and I'm broke up about it)
Oh wow! Your comment has made my day I’m SO glad I could help you solve your problem! I’ll try my best to come out with a video on which plants work well in an aquarium. ☺️ I’d honestly like to get the back out of my 5-gal and Instal a sponge filter. I think you did the right thing! I’ll explore ways to keep a jumper in its tank and make a video for you on that as well! ♥️ Thank you for subbing and welcome to the betta fam!
Your frogbit looks perfect! how do you get them to look like that? I just bought new ones and they arent looking that good Maybe its the light? I have the same aquarium you have but I use the light that came with it
If I'm being honest I don't have a clue 😆 In my smaller tank they die! The ONLY difference is that in this tank there is zero current. I also dose fertilizer, but I do that in the other tank as well. I know that plants have to initially get used to your water parameters, but frogbit has always been a mystery to me 😂

ruclips.net/video/eDGoWBABYqQ/видео.htmlsi=gJXZAhXT9HrRUZ1I - or you could just get aluminum/stainless steel bonsai wire and make these. They're sturdier and can hold heavier plants like peace lillies.
@@Betta_Days my plants are all green. I wanted to add a little color to my riparium and keep hearing wandering Jews do great in ripariums. I guess they just don't like me. :(
Pothos tastes horrible and most pets will not touch it. Of all the plants our cat chews on, she never touches the pothos and neither do our dogs. A quick google search will confirm that pet poisoning to pothos rarely occurs.
Did Google interview everyone in America who has pets? I absolutely love and care for my pets so why would I take the risk? There are many other plants that aren't toxic that you can place in your aquarium. @@nathananderton8546
GRATITUDE💥🤩💥
Just what i was looking for, perfect for my spider and pothos. Had everything laying around anyway. You rock!
So glad you found this helpful! Feel free to recommend other DIYs you would like to see. 😊
This is the most simple method I have seen! I got a hinged lidded tank and was trying to find better ways to secure my pothos cuttings in my tank
Appreciating you from New Zealand 😊
Thank you for your support! ❤

Somehow my pothos are dying off in my tank but my mini monstera that acted half dead when she was in soil is THRIVING in my betta females 5g
Plants can be picky sometimes! I do fertilize my tank so maybe the house plants love it too!

I usually try to stay away from using anything metal in or near aquariums. It can pose a risk to aquatic life.
