Another one: three driver memory is more than most need, so I set the #3 button to help get in and out - seat all the way back, seat higher, steering wheel full forward and full up.
Another under the radar feature, great for chilly days in the convertible is the heated steering wheel. Not all Fs have it, but its pretty common option and easy to forget.
I also have the heated steering wheel on my coupe and love it. We get a lot of very cold weather here and when driving in the fall and winter it sure is a nice feature.
6:44 in the US market that spoiler button doesn't work while driving. Outside the US or at least everywhere in Europe you can raise the spoiler whenever you want to. So you are correct.
It took me 3 years to realize my 2016 F Type has a CD/DVD/MP3 player hidden in the console taking up no space at all (factory). I know most people don't use CDs at this point, but still impressive and you can watch movies when the car is stationary

It's a full optional coupe, British Racing Green outside and "brogue " inside, with fantastic carbon ceramic yellow caliper breaks! I've bought in 2015 and waited for six months... I do love the Ian Callum's design, the incredible sound and the English trademark! Even if I live in Italy, the home of sport cars... One great trick on two battery cars is to disconnect the small battery's ground wire and zip tie it stowed. Now eco start/stop defaults to off 5 secs after engine start.
Does this trick affect anything else? Hard to think that Jaguar would install a battery just for this function? So what else does it disable / erase from some modules memory?
Some good points there Mark, the only gripe I have really on the convertible is that there is no roof up/down on the key fob something I think you get as standard over there.. Still waiting on what your up to regarding the bits your waiting for.
Thanks Dave, yes those automation features seem to be variable and while I also like the coupe for the lines, the convertible is the way to go for maximum driving experience with the wind in the hair and full sound effects. I know it’s a bit frustrating waiting for parts but I have also heard another RUclipsr who runs a part store that things are taking months to get in some cases with this silliness that is goi g on right now. Handy video summary MArk, Apparently if you don't let them know (not to) the dealers in North America, when doing a service may do a firmware update - which removes a lot of the snap, crackle and pop. re: the Rear spoiler the reason it will only manually move when the engine is off - is a maintenance mode to allow you to clean under the spoiler on the trunk lid area.
Thanks Brian, yes I certainly have heard of that and I always chat with the service people, not that they are always with the program, but its something always to be aware of. Funny thing is the dealer has been chasing me to buy a new F Type bu the service side was supposed to get back to me about a replacement windshield, and I have not heard ack in a month. Strange.
I don't think the valves ever fully open in active. You have to pull Fuse 43 under the passengers feet to open them fully, as it removes the feature and the valves "fail" full open. Its maybe another 15% louder without the fuse.
Hi, that is actually a vinyl trim that I applied to the factory valence and splitter. A couple of hours on the driveway, a few handy tools and vinyl and good to go.

For sure Thomas, I found these cars fun at every angle and thats part of the charm. While some competitors are dropping in knick knack gadgety electrics to dazzle at a superficial level, this car has significance from Exoticcar performance, style and charm in the exterior design, fun party tricks like the reverse hood,, rising dash vents, and dynamic exhaust played through the exhaust and not the speakers as some modern day bimmers. This and the 911 are a couple of the nicest options out there for a tad over 6 figures.

Hi, thanks for reaching out supporting. Under the car I have a sheet of Teflon to monitor fluids on the ground which I Mai lay used for the Lamborghini that I just sold that parked there but if you see there are a couple of black spots under the car and that is the condensation with carbon that drips out of the exhaust, which some folks describe. It’s not diff oil as it’s always a watery texture.

Well that depends what kind of Mustang. If you have a Shelby GT350 or 500 you may be Ok for now but anything less and yes the F Tupe is the one to own.
Thinking about making the Jaguar jump. Would the F-Type make a good daily driver? Considering a used 2019 with the supercharged V6. Would go V8, but a little pricey for me. A little worried from one of your other videos about the water leaking in the car. Did you find a remedy for that?
Hi, I think these cars make great daily drivers except for pricey parts like tires and brakes. Odd strange failures but the Awd and the right tires mean it can be versatile. The leak? I have not done anything with it big have not noticed it much lately so who knows. Some of the woes come from relatively low production numbers but the other side of that coin is you do not see many around making them more unique.

What I would like to know is what Brits use the little mesh pocket between and behind the seats for. It is very hard to reach from the seat. Also, what are the elastic straps deep in the back of the trunk for? I am 5’8” but can barely reach them. Lastly, why on earth are the tow hooks reverse threaded?

Likely being a gas engine and the same weight and synthetic, I would generally say not an issue, but I know its important for Diesel engines to have the right ingredients due to heavy soot.

@@markholubetz no way. u never get ur wheel aligned? Maybe the dealer did it when u get oil change. How much air u put in each tire? In the setting, it shows recommendations speed of like 45 psi for front, 37 for the back?

@@markholubetz typical warranty covers the repair if able to repair the tire, if not most cover a pro rated amount for the replacement of the tire. Always check the fine print in the warranty, but even pro rated amount for some expensive tires is well worth it.
Definitely DON'T go with Michelin 4Ss. They have been the worst tires on my F. Constant flats. Constant bead separation. Last night a front tread shredded on the road, I was really lucky I wasn't going fast. I had replaced both rear 4Ss when they both failed within a few days at around 10K miles. The Cup 2s I put on have been much better tires, but still not as hooked as I would like. With the F waiting on a tire shop to open, I think I'm going to go with R888Rs all around. That will mean going to 315s on the rear, which will look great but gear worse. Tire choices are limited for this beast of a drag racer.
I did find a set of R888Rs and they are far and away the best tires for my tuned RWD F-Type. So much better than Cup 2s and about the same price. They look great too.
I have a (UK) 2014 5.0L AWD 550ps convertible. If you lift the bonnet fully open and stand a short distance in front of the car you will see that it forms the 'jaguar' logo. btw my spoiler lifts up... I know that because I did it by mistake and thought the boot was open....
Snaps and cracks and pops are made by dumping fuel fume into exhaust, which disintegrate the catalytic converters before 10 year 100k miles standard most cars have.

Under the Federal Emissions Warranty, all emissions related parts are covered for 2 years or 24,000 miles*, with the catalyt ic converter and engine control unit (the computer) covered for 8 years or 80,000 miles*. The Federal provisions cover light-duty vehicles up to 8,500 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). I just got my cat replaced free of charge on my 2015 F Type R with 54,000 miles. That was definitely a pleasant surprise and something I believe most car owners in the US are unaware of. It applies to all cars sold in the US undee 8500 lbs gw, and it doesn't matter if you're the first or 5th owner.
“I’m not going to bore you with the every day stuff…”. Proceeds to tell us about steering wheels. Turn signals. Windshield. And some damn parts due to arrive. 😐

I use seat position 3 button for the reverse passanger mirror dip. Sometimes you want the mirror in the up position while backing up.

It’s better to pull the secondary battery out completely. It just disables start/stop.

I have F type convertible and there are only two ambient light colors there. Light blue and red that come on.
Can I switch it to more colors ?
I will have to check but in my car there are a couple areas that seem to stay light blue while other areas are switchable. Seems a bit odd

Always get the road hazard warranty when buying expensive tires, it's a life saver on the wallet.

No such thing as Toyo R888Rs for the time being, they are on idenfinite national back order along with the 2021 shortage of everything.

The Federal provisions cover light-duty vehicles up to 8,500 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). I just got my cat replaced free of charge on my 2015 F Type R with 54,000 miles. That was definitely a pleasant surprise and something I believe most car owners in the US are unaware of. It applies to all cars sold in the US undee 8500 lbs gw, and it doesn't matter if you're the first or 5th owner.
