I was just going to say the same thing. While in reverse adjust the dipped mirror position and it'll be remembered for the next time. Mine is a 2016 R, not sure if that's a default feature or not but mine has it.
I think I saw somewhere that if you leave the steering wheel in the Auto setting, it will rise up with the door opens to make entry and exit easier and when you close the door, it will go back down to the memory set position again.
You are indeed correct. For me, I don’t need the wheel to raise to enter/exit the vehicle. Plus we have the flat bottom wheel. To reduce wear, I leave that setting off 👍🏻
THANK YOU! I came to this video to see if you had info on mounting the fixed spoiler and disabling the auto spoiler, but you taught me about the door handles! I've had my F-Type R for 2 days now, and it has felt so wrong pushing in the handle, like I was fighting it to close it. I just knew that wasn't how it was supposed to be done, so I'm glad I saw this.
I turn off dip mirrors, unplugged the auto-start stop module, and always drive in dynamic but with suspension/engine/shifting set to normal (to keep exhaust solenoid open at all times instead of open/closing throughout the drive), to keep motors from firing all the time and causing premature failure.
Hi from France MrGB!! The tip with the little push on the door to close the car just made my day, amazing one !! And yet, I watched so many videos on this car, I thought that I knew it by heart. Above all, thanks for all your videos, you convinced me to buy my F-type V6 S few months ago, the right one looking for the right options, what details to worry about and it was certainly the best thing I've done so far mainly thanks to you. Bye !
That door mirror trick is genius... I hate doing a manoeuvre and the mirror going up and down all the time yet like to see where I the lines are reverse parking in bays... best of both worlds!
For the gear stick when in sport, even if you push the P button it will automatically move over. I loved the dip mirror on memory seats, that is one of the best tips ever. I use the dips on reverse to save my alloys :) One tip on the tailgate to close manually you can use the centre button also, the same one you can use to open too. Great stuff mate, I can't believe people ask these questions, for me I played with everything for hours, but beyond that, I say to people R.T.F.M. ( Read The Flippin Manual) Cheers fella!
great hidden tips ( especially the door handle )- i had a question - i have a convertible but it may be the same on hard tops - visor is extremely small and cannot be swiveled to block out sun from the driver side window- i have seen visor extenders on line - but they don't appear to be able to latch on to these visors-do you or anyone on this comments have any suggestions for extenders , etc ( i can't imagine im the only one that this drives crazy- thanks
Ive owned 3 2014 v8 S(not R). Keep an eye out for E Diff fault, it likely means multiple weekends spent hanging out in Jaguar/Rangerover service centers 😅
You missed one, possibly the most pointless one😂. You can access the rear camera through the settings section whilst driving forward. Can only assume that’s to get the number plate of the person that’s been tailgating you for the last hour
yes you can adjust the dip on reverse, when you go into reverse and the mirror dip then just aadjust it and save it as memory no 1 then is always only dip that much, but you have to adjust it when the mirror ia dipped in reverse, just adjust it up a bit to your best pos.
Mine doesn't have the beautiful fixed spoiler, but that gray will leave you lookin back like u look back when she's walking away from you. Mine has almost all of the most expensive options they had at the time, and let me just tell you... WHEWWWW I might have to go LGBT cuz I'm mentally disrupted over my love for this car
super nice tip about the mirror! thank you! much more freedom and accessibility than using just a menu. even if mirror is in good position, need to see more, and thus one can switch up-down when needed (as you showed). touching the door handle doesn't work though. need at least some minimal force sadly. btw, have you bought obd2 device for errors checks? so many of them and not sure which to choose
No worries. Thanks for watching and commenting. The door handles just need a little ‘click, rather than pushing them in all the way I have a cheap OBD device that connects to my phone, but can’t do an awful amount with it 👍🏻
I have just learned that Jaguar is switching the entire range to electric in 2025. I had already bought a v6 S 3 years ago because they no longer produced it. But it's all f type that will increase in value with this announcement!
I've been wondering about that. If governments around the world are going to ban ICE cars, that may not happen and you may struggle to get rid of them in later years. It's possible they will push the price of fuel so high that it becomes an unviable option, and as more and more people switch to electric there are going to be less and less filling stations over time.
@@frouchitude1916 Yes, very true, although they have all vast multi-billion dollar investments in many other things. They would not be left struggling to pay their bills if oil disappeared tomorrow, that's for sure
Wait! Adjust the pedal box? How do you do that? I would love to be able to move my pedals forward. The position of the pedals is literally the only thing I dislike about my car.
I have a terrible problem with the drivers window not sealing. Wind noise and water ingress is terrible. Been to local dealers and if anything its been made worse. Any tips or hints?
That door handle thing has a feature too where it locks and "hides" the handles when you get over 5 mph. You can turn that feature off in that configurable settings area. This might come in useful if you're a parent and tired of the nice people standing out front in the pick-up line in the school parking lot not knowing how to open your car door for your kid to get in. :)
with the car locked you can clearly see a gap between door aperture and window on the vertical edge on driver side, not on passenger side. Its a 21 P450 model
Related stupid question sorry... how can I force it back to drive manually without having to wait the what 20 seconds? before it does it automatically? ( after I have taken over with the paddles )
Your vents were set to "Always open", yet when you turned on/off the AC they were still going up/down. That makes no sense to me. If I say always open, I want them always up, regardless if the AC is on/off or if the car is on/off. Can you do that?
@MrGB_UK thanks for the reply buddy. Im going to an F type from a 370Z which just about swallowed up a golf bag with clubs (there was even a small instruction plate on the boot lid showing you how to do it!) Hopefully my search for a low mileage V6 S wil be successful soon, there seems to be a lot to choose from. Thanks for the very informative videos 👌🍻
I've got a 2017 V6S and I'm pretty sure the mirror dip is adjustable on my car. If I change the mirror position while in reverse, it seems to remember that position but only if I re-save my seat memory position while I'm in reverse. I'll try it again later today
Correct. The Seat Memory will store your preferred door mirror positions for both driving and the chosen amount of dip on the nearside mirror whenever R is selected, all on the one memory button by the method you describe.
Nothing shown in this video is hidden or has any tips and tricks. Everything is obvious to pretty much everybody unless you are stupid. Also for closing the doors you can definitly tap it lightly and it will close. You shouldn't for it in, but a slight tap won't hurt the motors. This is ridiculous. Btw my f-type saves the mirror position when reversing.
For the reverse dip mirror. Adjust the dip positioning whilst in Reverse gear, and it will remember that exact setting.
I’ve tried that a fair few times and it always defaults to the same position. Have you had luck with this method?
Tried this and it worked. Thanks!
I was just going to say the same thing. While in reverse adjust the dipped mirror position and it'll be remembered for the next time. Mine is a 2016 R, not sure if that's a default feature or not but mine has it.
I have a 2017 SVR. I adjusted the rear view dip the day I got it and it has stayed since.
Works on my 2014 R.

I use the dip mirror to see the rims and tire for parking close to curbs.
Have watched a load of your vids and im now just about to buy a 2017 r having had a 911 for 3 years. Super informative thank you
Glad they were useful. Happy shopping and I hope you enjoy the car!
Also looking at a 2017 6 cylinder

Thanks for this. Wasn't aware of the touch sensitive actuators in the door handles.
no i was one of the idiots pushing pulling
Very useful thank you. Watched all your F type videos now.

Did the same thing with the reverse, mirror dip. I use one of the seat settings for watching the curb...
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, especially for the door handles.
Glad it was helpful!
Just viewed this 👍Does the glass roof open & close? It amongst other things looks awesome. Thanks & enjoy the ride!
Hi, thanks! No, the roodf does not open. Its panoramic only :)
... if I only already had the car to test all this.
Cool video and content! Like!
Thanks for the support! 💪🏼

What is the rear spoiler on your car, it looks similar to the SVR, here in the States? Is it a standard rear spoiler in the UK? It looks great.
Its the OEM fixed spoiler. Similar to the SVR, but it doesn't move
Wait! Adjust the pedal box? How do you do that? I would love to be able to move my pedals forward. The position of the pedals is literally the only thing I dislike about my car.
I was just trying to change the dip of the reverse dip mirror today, to no avail. But it's interesting, yours dips too much, mine doesn't dip enough!
How odd! But like yourself, I couldn’t get the mirror position to change 🙁

Hey, was curious. For your hood vents, are those just vinyl wrapped?
Good for you never give up it’s been three days in the past 50 views😂😂😂😂😂😂

Also keep your fingers off the "Jaguar" decal on the top because it rubs off pretty easy with frequent use

No stupid questions. Press and hold the + shift paddle for a few secs and it will go back to fully auto 👍🏻
