Have 2018 model 25T petrol purchased August 2017. Just went over 100,000 miles in USA. Emergency key cover on the driver's door handle fell off in a spray car wash after an ice strorm. Coolant got low once, but problem went away. Those are the only problems I've had. I only do the recommended service with oil change once a year. Replaced both batteries at 4 years. This 2024 year I spent thousands of dollars to replace the timing chains because I was scared that they would eventually break, even though there was nothing wrong with them. I'm about due for an alignment and new brake pads after 100,000 miles. Might look into replacing some of the rubber and plastic parts as preventive measures. Should also add more ceramic coating, as that is now 6 years old. Why keep investing in this car? Because it's so nice to drive, is the right size and weight (light) for my needs, and it's a beautiful British Racing Green 💚 color. Too bad that color is no longer offered by Jaguar.

I've seen enough Jag vids now to make a very important deduction. I will be buying an C7 Corvette. I understand the resell value of having the car serviced by the Dealer but many of the maintainence services can be done Yourself. The Dealer just wants Your Money. I've seen Services and repaires done that make Me question the validity. It seems that everything starts at 700€ upwards just because its a Jag. The Injectors seizing is also an expensive problem. With an Vet these costs don't exist other than having to replace the Motor. No I'm grateful to all Those that through Your problems have made this decision much easier. I believe the fun of having these cars is working on them MYSELF? Here in Germany there are even Hobby garages that allow to change the oil/fluids, that do wheel alignments, or whatever @ 10€ an hr. including tools. When You sell your car the fact that You have it serviced by an Jag Dealer won't cause Anyone to spend more money and those THOUSANDS spent deduct from the selling price regardless when it's sold. It only shows that You can't work on it and are willing to give your money away. The depreciation of the Jags is rediculous. Your car costed 125K or more but 5 years later it costs the half used. A C7 Vet has retained it's value far better and isn't so difficult to maintain for the same fun. Actually due to the over production and availability the C8 2022 are approaching the 80K mark used in Europe and 85-90K NEW in the USA!!! If the only reason Someone buys a Jag is for the obtrusive NOISES which come at the cost of the Cats then so be it. I personally find it annoying and a strange degression from the Elegance, Style, and Sophisticated Class that JAGUAR used to represent? Just My opinion. I have had three of the F pace Jags. My first was the 35 and had it 6 months bit wanted the S model and found a great deal on a Green one. sold my 35 for what I paid for it. drove the green one for two years and traded for a porsche Cayenne. like the car but someone ran into me and totaled it. I went back to the F pace S. love it. I did have trouble with my Green 2017 when it blew and engine at 53,000 miles. out of warranty but Jaguar covered it and gave me a range rover to drive for a month. defective engine. love the car.

What do you think about 30t with 300hp and only 2liter Ingenium engine from 2018?

H skips the most important bit, how tricky it is to feed cable around rear view mirror and into the overhead unit. I eventually managed to do it. But cable was too short to feed around. So unit was useless.

I am surprised that their system doesn't recognise an additional camera and the same for a rear camera, such an expensive car with few OEM upgrade options, especially in today's world where an internal dash cam is almost a standard.

great hidden tips ( especially the door handle )- i had a question - i have a convertible but it may be the same on hard tops - visor is extremely small and cannot be swiveled to block out sun from the driver side window- i have seen visor extenders on line - but they don't appear to be able to latch on to these visors-do you or anyone on this comments have any suggestions for extenders , etc ( i can't imagine im the only one that this drives crazy- thanks

Great video. I was having my WRX serviced today and it was next to the Jaguar dealer. I've loved them since the early E-Types in the '60s. I might just break down in retirement and blow my load on one. Not 100% metaphorically.

Chrome bits on modern cars just makes most of them look incredibly ugly and cheap. I've always opted out of chrome and always will, but to each their own as you've said. 👍
