    bro it sounds so beautiful, im very tempted to save up to boost my frs now. It definitely is annoying to rev over 4k rpm just to pass someone to get some decent power

    Can you do a video of the cost breakdown of the turbo kit and/or building the engine?

      Sure can! Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll have it in the works :)

    Can you explain more or show in a future vid why it’s easier to swap the turbo in your setup vs HKS? I’m in Canada but contemplating kits myself and I know Australia has seriously adopted this car and has groups that have done some amazing things. 🤙🏻

      For sure! Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll explain it in short here for you as well. The reason it’s easier to upgrade turbo with my kit is, because it’s designed to work with a Garrett turbo I can fairly easily change between other Garrett turbo’s, whereas the HKS kit uses a HKS turbo so it pushes you to upgrade to another HKS turbo, which can be harder to source/more expensive

    What reliability issues do y run into if you turbo it? Is the longevity issue of the engine effected significantly? What is the average cost to have this done effectively without causing issues in the long run? Are there other parts of the car that will need to be upgraded or enforced in order to handle the power upgrade ?

      I will make a video about this topic shortly as it seems many people have similar questions. The short answer though is yes a few supporting mods are needed however it can be done cheaper than many think! The single biggest reliability issue you will have is finding a tuner who is good. There are plenty of good tuners around for the platform but just make sure you take it to someone reputable on the FA20 engine :)

    Considering the costs... im still leaning towards just selling and getting a mint e92 M3 for the extra 10k instead of going fi

    Can you turbo an automatic frs?

    • @AngusOutram
      @AngusOutram  3 года назад +1

      100% you can! it's done quite commonly. I've driven an automatic boosted car before and they are really fun as well!

    would you recommend building the motor before boosting or saying fuck it and send it?

    • @AngusOutram

      Really depends on 3 main things: your power goals, how much you’re willing to spend and how reliable do you need the car to be
