First! Great review! You are making want this bike more and more.
I wish someone with a wind tunnel and smoke would start a channel to show how all these motorcycle windscreens function.
I know puig publishes their wind tunnel tests for their windscreens. Not sure about givi but it might be out there
Appreciate your efforts. I agree, you want to manage wind noise on your helmet. I want to get this bike and when I test rode it I knew I would have to something about stock small shield. Terrific bike.
I put on honda tall windshield and deflectors really hit sweat spot for me, Thanks for your info on alp

Tinted shield looks sharp, but looking over top is important for clarity, especially at night. Deflectors look nice, but seems like Givi shield already provides width protection. Appreciate your reviews and testing products.
I have the XL750 too with the standard screen and the OEM deflectors and have no problems at all. That screen you have fitted does look good though.

Have done 1000+ on my TA now. While the stock windscreen is pretty lame, I don't know if a replacement is required. The thing most people need on their bikes is....more miles on them.
Marketplace and the ADV groups are overflowing with bikes that were purchased, modded out, and have like 1000 miles on them. The only mods you really need are crash bars and a bash plate. And you only need those if you ride off road.

As for higher speeds, I did ride the highway, and my gosh it was great!
Still got nice easy air flow, but nothing beating me up at all.

I would be curious how dark the windscreen is in the dark, looking through it in the night, because a smoked windshield can look good in the daylight, but if you need to look through it at night, it may not be with it

Got this awful turbulant air hitting me in the face from 50mph to 70mph. Worst I've ever experienced, and this is bike no. 46 for me.
Will try the taller screen.

I had Givi winshield on my cb500x. It was 7" taller than OEM and abomination to look at. After riding 2000 miles from Oregon to Texas, mostly cruising at 70-75mph with relentless wind the whole way, first thing I did was removing that garbage and never looked at it again. If you ride up to 65mph, tall screen may help lil with buffeting but, not nearly as much as ear plugs. Don't waste money.
Why even comment - Your CB500x is different than the Transalp (bottom line, each motorcycle reacts differently to different windshields)
@@MikeK6046 Bottom line is you have no clue what you are talking about and missing elementary school fundamentals in physics and aerodynamics. You obviously don't have very much riding experience either. There maybe few people out there who can use sound advice though. You want big ass Givi sail? Knock yourself out. Nobody is yanking your chain.
