Thanks For Tuning In!
Corolla xrs owner for the last 10 years. 230k. Don’t plan on getting rid of it ever. I Like your setup!
The normal operation temp is between 85 and 95 celcius. If you have an upgraded radiator its normal to have it lower than 80 celcius.
New subscriber here! I wish I would have found your channel a long time ago. I love corollas and all other Toyotas and I hope this will be as good as I expect it to be.
Congratulations on the build. This is awesome. I think SC is the way to go with the 2zz. Excellent work 🤘👽🤘
Pretty sure the ECU uses the engine light as a shift light
That seems possible because of how it turns off once he lets off the gas.
@@Just_In_credible6 but then again if that were the case it would turn on at like 7800rpm-8000rpm not bellow 6000
Seeing him getting scared of the check engine light in a supercharged corolla while i am dailying my wrx with a check engine light for a year with massive pulls laughing.
Atleast Scan it with a OBD2 scanner to see if it is serious. Knock is pretty serious TBH
When a car comes with a supercharger and it has a factory tune is not the same as installing a supercharger, doing the fuel system, tuning and labor yourself.
And anyone who would laugh at his concern...well... tell us youve never worked on your own car without telling us youve never worked on your own car. Cringe.
@@DeepRacer-zr4yp its a lean code. One of the pipe needs replacing.
@@Hammerback0 i work on my car the only thing is that i dont care about the fa20 engine. Im waiting to replace it next year.
@@fakethiscrap2083 ok, can't you just use some Exhaust Bandage Tape? Or is it the connection that is corroded?
thanks for sharing your trial and error process! love these videos man keep it up
New subscriber.. I sold my corolla xrs about 8 years ago and my supra mk4. I see that the 9thgen forum community doesn't exist anymore. I tried to buy back my corolla xrs from the owner in california but looks like it's moved on to another owner. I remember PPE and hydra tuner being the hot items. Glad to see there's more parts support.
HE BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH!!!! I have same setup except it was installed and tuned by MonkeyWrencgRacing. I ran a 15.000 last week 4/7/24 at Island Dragway in New Jersey! I WILL POST A VIDEO!!! I also have the dyno graph . Mine peaked at 200hp BUT 130 ft/lbs of torque from 3-8.5k rpm. EXTREMELY daily drivable!
I was waiting for this video. Congratz man!! Good call on taking it easy till tuned. Looking forward to the next one!
VTT-LI kicks in Yo'!
1:25 This is giving me flashbacks to Superfast. That fast and furious parody. Congrats on your first drive! I can imagine how excited you felt!
Thank you for always inspiring me to do a lot on my Corolla
Amazing first drive, I hope the light is not a big issue and cannot wait to see your next video. 👍🏽 Thanks as always for all the knowledge shared.
Keep up the good work … love seeing progress on the rolla !!
Great job will. I have a Celica GTS with head I build myself with mwr street cam, plus size valves, ported, ferrea dual springs with ferrea seats, retainers and keepers, obx exhaust manifolds. Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade my intake manifold and I'm wondering what you gonna do with your aftermarket intake manifold you just replaced with your supercharger. Are you selling your aftermarket intake manifold?
Corolla funboy =)) Great content bro! My Auris 1.4 4zz-fe SC-14 hello to you)
Turbokits definitely has had a bunch more testing done before they released the whole kit and was able to give such a good base tune.
I believe monkey wrench racing hasn’t had much time in developing a tune, so there’s still a few bugs to work out!
Congratulations on the build!
Great build bro. I’m hoping to do the same supercharger kit on my Celica someday. The ultimate bolt-on mod 🤪
Same here 🤑
Did you dyno the car before the supercharger? It would be nice to see a before and after.
Cheers. Thanks for posting.
I would take a look at how ur knock sensor is configured and see maybe if it’s just picking up mechanical engine noise. Especially since it was at 7k rpm, your AFR looks good and your timing looks pretty conservative too. Take out a couple of degrees and check the knock sensor log again. If it’s not on oem ecu it can be a pain to get the knock sensor configured right
You got this bruh💪🏾
Ayy! If you're not first, you're last.
Hi nice build you fix the problem the check engine lights
2zzge is AWESOME engine!!!
Great vid bro, keep it up
Maybe the rotrex might be better less strain on the engine
Nice!! Put some 100 octane fuel maybe?
I wonder if this supercharger would work for the ZR engines, since superchargers in the lotus is not that readily available unless you will find a totalled Elise with front end damage
Legendary
Use 93 and even try some Lucas fuel booster
maybe adding the bigger pulley on the alternator messed with the amount of turning the supercharger is turning so idk maybe that will automatcally mess with the tune that is logged for stock pulley sizes on all pulleys idk im new to superchargers
Yes different pullies need different tunes
Is it knocking because you didn't put premium fuel?
Curious, how much boost is he getting.
Fantastic vid 👏
Great content
Hi Will!
Did you fix your knocking problem?
I'm in the process to install a tvs900 on a stock 2zz mr-s and I'd like to know if this step worth the money or not for the improvement it gives!
I think a lot of 2zz people are very excited to see what's the result of this mod.
I'm very positive about it btw.
Hope to see your video explaining everything and making nice pulls 👌
Thanks brò
Better bring it to the Corolla meet tomorrow
Any updates since this? Curious if you got the tune sorted and if you are happy overall.
Next Time Window's Down So We Can Hear It Better , Nice Build❤🎉
Try more Octane - the 2ZZ is a higher compression engine than the 1ZZ and a supercharger will increase the compression??
Correct might be why it goes rich so it's not knocking idk
est ce que vous planifiez faire une tune de votre set up je trouve que celui ci est interessant j'ai hâte de voir l'évolution du kit monkey wrench bonne continuation 🫡
Funny how the engine light came on and then was like sike :D
I'm thinking about these supercharger builds and it kinda seems good on a 4-cyl BMW. But I wonder if it's a bad idea if you plan to redline the engine a lot. Like is the jolt stress of another belted engine component gonna be bad over time, are the chargers themselves going to have hiccups if the revs are staying high a lot etc.
From "4A-GZE" all the way back in 1989 to "2ZZ-GZE" in the 2000s... 😮
Hey, we got the same shifter knob. Im thinking i like it but it looks weird. Might switch it out.
Stock 2ZZ thermostat doesn’t even open until 80°C, operating is 80-86 in my XRS, you have the 70° thermostat?
Could the engine light be because there is more air going into the engine than usual?
Nevermind. I saw the end with the knock sensor triggering the engine light. I hope you will be able to figure out why this is happening.
Are you planning to add water/meth injection down the road?
Do you use an extra cooling system like water methanol, or you just drive it like that?
Did you ever get off the base map and on to a good tune?
boost it and supercharge it.
So you’re actually getting high knock with a MWR base map? I thought their base maps are really good.
Bought the same supercharger from mwr but with just a piggyback ecu, car doesn’t even start with their basemap😂😂😂
Are you not considering a 2gr swap on this?
is this the stock red color or did you repaint?
Will that S/C work on a 2003 Toyota MR2?
How much power and boost?
Its probably your fuel I bet. Get some cleaner pump gas, maybe splash a gallon or 2 of some E in.
Good job, anyway
Yoooo do my 2007 Toyota corolla S
Bro I love it the car it's good
What are you using to see car data?
Are you still on stock ecu of 2zz?
What size rims u have on it
nice!

😁😁😁😁👍👍👍💯💯💯😆
100km/...?L
Is that your voice 😂
Gayyy af
What’s gay about supercharging a 2zzge from 2006 to make 300 hp on the cheap.
My lotus runs the same engine with 3 different blocks-
N/a 400 hp 14:5:1 compression
Supercharged block. 11:5:1 440hp
Twin charged 9:5:1 658hp.
Depends on our track set up
@ThorOdinson-zc2kq I think that doriftuh7331 is trying to convince theirself that they are not gayy by calling things that other people think are cool gayy. It is very strange but I definitely wouldn't pay any attention to it. They probably do not even own a car and because of this they do not know how to appreciate all of the work and money that went into this, and also all of the fun that can come out of it.
@@ThorOdinson-zc2kqman 400hp n/a fuck yea bro.... how is the c60 holding up I heard they only about to handle about 300hp max ..
@@ej8_06xrs I have a modified E153 to handle all the abuse for each set up
@ThorOdinson-zc2kq makes sense thats pretty cool
