Dude you saved my pistol!! Thank you!!!! That was exactly it! I put my spring in backwards not paying attention! You saved me!!!! Yes Lord Jesus thank you!!!!!!!!!! Great video/information!!!
New to Glock. Not new to fire arms. It almost felt embarrassing that I couldn't remedy this my self but thanks to you video I am a lot more confident in my assembly and disassembly of my G34.
Thank you sir you’re a lifesaver I was getting ready to take my Glock to a gunsmith. I was cleaning my pistol and when I got to put it back somehow I got stuck on the frame I tried everything and I tried couldn’t get it unstuck and I started to freak out but then I found your video. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you again.
Love your videos. I'm very happy to hear the proven traditional methods of gun handling & marksmanship. It's a breath of fresh air and a break from the 'tacticool'... I've changed my grip and stance based upon your advice.
Awesome videos! Wealth of invaluable knowledge! I've never put RSA in wrong but recently cleaned trigger housing etc, and 1st I has no "tactile" reset, and then after trying again, slide wouldn't come off and trigger wouldn't pull... But using your push forward and force trigger method it worked!
@fireteammichael1777 Thank you so much! Yes, I think most of us can say that we've made some sort of "misstep" during reassembly, we just don't like to admit it.. 😄
I've missed the back slide rails more than once and got it stuck. I luckily was able to just strike the back of the slide and it popped off. It never did any harm to the gun. I was scared first time it happened though. I make sure i am paying attention now when i reattach the slide.
@Mathew Sheaffer, Yep, not hard to misalign them, especially if you're in a hurry or have other things on the brain at the same time. Sounds like you caught yours just in time, brother 👍
I've never had this problem, but its good to know JIC. Two questions for ya, what type of holster is that on the table, an what do you have in that SKS jar on the table ?. Big SKS fanboy, an love plinking mine, its a very dependable platform that I'm comfy with, nothing wrong with AK's, just like SKS alot more, 1 is type 56 norinco , the other is a Yugoslavia, great fun plinkers in my book. Thx for the vid Antonius
@William McCaslin Thanks bro. The holster is an adjustable nylon thumb break by "Bulldog", clip on and belt slide, both. My SKS jar has a couple of Murry's firing pins, extra FP springs, and a couple of original firing pins for my 1951 Russian SKS and my Jianshe factory 1967 SKS.
Great help! 💯 Question please... G19, Gen 3. When replacing the slide, I now need to push the trigger bar forward until it clicks. If I don't, it makes contact with the firing pin safety and the slide will NOT go on. Any idea why this is happening after about a year? Thank You!
The vertical extension on the trigger bar should easily push the spring loaded FP safety up without a problem. Is the spring in the FP safety still working? You might have some resistance when putting the slide back on, but it should still work. If not, I would suggest letting a gunsmith or Glock armorer take a closer look at it. Good luck, brother 👍
I have a slide seized up due to corrosion (has a live round in the chamber) wondering if its safe to fire to possibly break it free (maybe putting it in a vice and firing using a string)ive used shooters lube to try to help it unseize to no avail...
@stevenvlogss8505 ? Wow! Hmmm, hard to say without examining it, but is it possible to remove the slide's backplate? If so, try taking out the firing pin so that it's lug doesn't hang up on something when you slide it forward to remove it. 🤷
@Walt.s5 If you've tried everything and nothing is working yet, your best bet would probably be to take it to a local gunsmith or Glock armorer. Most of the gunshops/dealers in your area should have one there. Good luck! 👍
Had it stuck once and still don't know what happened. I think the RSA wasn't seated properly. It was stuck way out the front the gun and the trigger was stuck forward. I locked the slide back hoping I could get a look inside but then I found I could pull the trigger and everything just fell apart aftet that.
@Syrin123, Yes I've heard that incorrect seating (in the wrong notch) of the RSA can also be the culprit. I forgot to make mention of that, so thanks for bringing that up 👌. And it sounds like you've discovered another remedy to it as well, which I really appreciate that info. Thanks for watching, friend! 👍
so my slide is stuck and won’t come off the trigger won’t make the click I changed the housing trigger so I messed up somewhere but because my spacer sleeve is (worn out ) I can’t push it down to remove the back plate so how else can one go about removing it
@cjburos83 It's difficult to answer without examining it, so in this case it may be best to take it to a Glock armorer in your area to avoid possible damage. I'm hesitant to give advice on this one without first seeing it.
My mom bought a 380 yesterday and she asked me how to use it I showed taking the magazine in and then I pulled back the slide it got stuck I figure it’s a lube issue because it’s brand new
@Larry Farris, Thank you, sir! It's the Greek phrase "Molon Labe" ("come and take it") uttered by the Spartan King Leonidas to the Persian King Xerxes at the battle of Thermopylae. Thanks for watching, my friend 👍
I've never put the slide on without putting the barrel and recoil spring in, as far as you know. Thanks for remedies.

You are absolutely correct with this helpful video. I am an experienced glock shooter and I have done this. Being in a hurry or distracted. Thanks!
Thanks so much. I was polishing my feed ramp for my gx4 barrel and this trick worked for my Taurus as well. I was starting to panic a little. Lol
Bruh I’m so glad this video is up! I literally just did this on some “hmm I wonder what this would do” type stuff lol

I think I would probably take it to a certified gunsmith. He may know of a safe method to proceed.

🫣🤔🤔
I put my spring on wrong and now I can’t dismantle it doesn’t matter how much force I use

@burgos632
It's easily replaced after the slide is removed. Not sure how it could tear, but anything is possible I suppose.
i appreciate that 😂👍
NICE 😊
My mom bought a 380 yesterday and she asked me how to use it I showed taking the magazine in and then I pulled back the slide it got stuck I figure it’s a lube issue because it’s brand new
Never mind I figured it out the slide stayed open because the magazine was empty that what the gun does after shooting all the bullets
Slide is stuck on my Glock 48 after using a 15LB recoil spring. I think it’s because it’s a single spring instead of the new design dual spring setup.
@mr.blanco6763
Yeah, I believe the recoil spring assembly for the 48 is indeed a dual spring type.
