Hey girl, I am so sorry that happened to you. I actually got fired from my job this January. I was an international immigrant working in Canada retail. It was a luxury retail store. I was still on my probation and when I got hired, the busy season had already started. After working my ass off at 2 of their locations without any proper training( I needed the training as I had not worked in this field before), 4 days before my probation ended, my manager fired me saying I was not suitable for the position. This manager was so heartless, as I had an accident at work before where I fell down many stairs and completely injured my back. I also had to be behind them to lay the hospital bill. But the take away I got from this was I would never be this miserable again. So, I have left it all behind, have come back to my country and am making a field switch. So, thank you for sharing your ups and downs with us, you gave me strength. Love you and all the best ❤

I was laid off last week. It was my first time being laid off from a job and it was heart breaking. I lost my job twice during the pandemic. I had no idea how to face my wife and tell her that I was no longer contributing to the family. She was rock solid with me, though. There was a choice for me; sit and pout or roll up my sleeves and make filling out applications my full-time job. I hope this experience brings you strength and wisdom.
Oh man, this was brutal to watch. I have to give you props though. Your videos are very honest and real. It's not always easy to put this kind of stuff out there. I think it's refreshing and super brave. I don't know why employers these days hire people, then let them go when they've barely had a chance to prove themselves. I've seen people break their lease and move cities only to be laid off 2 months later. It's pretty unfair. Hey, this may not be what you went to school for, but have you thought about Healthcare? I feel like your attitude would be a good match with that industry, and appreciated by patients. Anyway, sending you good vibes from WA state. P.S., I'm in the break room at work and starving. It's ridiculous what I'd give for that fajita bowl right now......

I’m considering a pivot to the fitness/wellness space but I don’t think I would go deeper into healthcare that than. Thank you for the support🤍🤍 I hope you stick around to see what comes next

FYI….as soon as this happens you contact the department of labor immediately. You are eligible. If they ever pull anything, DOL does not play games.

I will also add, the second layoff I went through, I took actual chunck off of time to not work and that was the best choice I ever made for myself.
