For anyone wondering about the gridlines in photoshop, its actually 24x24 pixels for RPG MV after I checked. I am not quite sure where exactly 48 is used. Just go into photoshop, press CTRL+K got to grid settings and set grid per pixel to 24. That worked for me. I hope it helps.
Probably the best tutorial voice over I've heard in the last few years. Really pleasant to listen to and not too fast that it's super hard to follow. However you may want to include links to the plugins you mention. Granted people will eventually find them on their own but it's better if you include a link. Good work overall and I hope to see more from you

Hi, first off thanks a lot for your videos they’ve been really useful but I’m having a problem with parallaxing that I can’t seem to solve. When I bind pictures to map they seem to bind to every other map and won’t let me change it. I’ve followed through this video and that all works well but then when I event a transfer the arrival map has the same parallax despite being given different pngs. Any chance you’ve encountered this? As I’ve not found it online
i know this comment was five years ago but just in case anyone still needs the answer today: my fix was to, in the event where the player is transferred, simply add a line that erases the picture(s), which is the bottom left option on page 2 of event commands. you may also need to use "unbind from map" plugin command, but i did not need to. good luck everyone
YAY, now I know how to do these types of maps lol. I kept trying to make my own before and I always kept messing something up, when I would fix one problem, another problem would emerge.. and I never figured it out after that lol.

+TheGreat Kobayashi Wow, thanks for all the input. I'll definitely check that out. And thanksyou! Will do! I know the character you'd do awesome at voice acting in the series! I'll keep in contact with you as the development continues. to be honest. this took me hours to figure out x3 im new to plugins x3 anyway, this tutorial showed me also how to make maps wieout making dozents of tiles and such. so thank you ^^
This is old, but you really should've added a prefix to when you changed the parallax. The Parallax background MUST BE SET TO NONE in the event (or changed, like Echo did in the video) or else it will repeat. This is a very vital thing in parallax mapping that you neglected to properly mention.

How was the X and O tileset thing not showing up on your game when testing? The tiles that were stating whether you could walk on a space or not. They didn't look transparent?
YOOOOO, I was fucking around with MV just to see what I could make and I wanted to do a pre-rendered look like the PS1 Final Fantasy games or the first 3 Resident Evil games, but I'd settled for just making pre-rendered tiles like Donkey Kong Country or Sonic 3D Blast. But now, holy shit, this changes everything. Now instead of awkwardly trying to line up tiles I can just build an entire environment in Blender and pre-render it as a background, then use that same environment in the FMV cutscenes so it's consistent
This was a good tutorial. But I been trying to find the sky reflections tutorial, and I can't find it in your playlists. And search yielded no results. Where is it?
Will you ever make like tutorials for how to make your own tilesets? Like for example your trees looks really good! And that building looks awesome too! +Kev B CrackedRabbitGaming has an amazing guide on creating auto tiles. It was originally intended for VXAce but you'd just need to change the size of the tiles. It's called How to Create Autotiles - Color Coded Anatomy. He even has downloadable content to help as you create your own. After mastering that creating regular tiles is pretty simple. :D There are dozens of 8Bit art tutorials, it just depends on your software. My favorite method is to draw things large using simple colors then to shrink them down being sure to reserve sharp edges. I'm lazy that way.
Hey there! I tried the method you used by saving the map and then touching it up on photoshop. The problem is, instead of loading one full 408 x 312 image in the map, it shows four! Please help :(
You are doing really amazing tutorial videos. That one will help me a lot on my project. :) I was asking myself allways: "How are they doing that complex overlay?" And you gave me the answer, thank you very much. :3 (\s/)

i have a question regarding the plugin - what is the max height and width a parallax map could be? because i tried this with a really big map, 100 x 100 RPGMV tiles and i got an error that its too big. i'm new to parallax mapping, so sry xD
+Belias It's cool - I find around 43x43 was where it would cap out on me and stop working, but it improved a bit with the most recent plugin version(or at least seemed too) I imagine it will be able to do bigger maps at some point or another as new updates are released.
I love you so much ❤❤❤. Wait no I mean I love you because of your tutorial seriously I will use it in my game 🎮. Thankyou i am finding how to do but can't for some reason thankyou so much 😅😅😅
Echo this is very helpful. Making me start over as I was designing tile sets. Got sick of trying to make it look unique. But it’s like block art almost. It’s horrible. Can I just freehand draw everything ?. So the only tiles I rely upon are the X O and * setting tiles.
Photoshop I find doesn't have as many built in resources. I'd probably use gimp if I wasn't already pro photoshop:3 You might be interested in using photoshop brushes though. Here are some free ones: www.brusheezy.com/free/ground
Well, not the place but, if anyone can help me out, I'd be gratefull. I'm having a problem with MV, when making the "invisible tileset" with the marks on passable and not passable, that even setting the tiles as not passable on the dbase, they'r kept as passable, so the character can actually walk all over the map, on places he's not supposed to go. Checked and this only happens with the "invisible" tileset.
Can you please do a video on how to make character pics when they're doing dialogue exchange? Like how visual novels do it? I really want know how to do that, please and thank you.
My character isn't moving when I apply the plugin commands to the parallax map. The character can look around but not move at all in the map. Help please.

+Nova7o9 whow! Thanks so much for the tip! I be sure to visit that channel :)
Hey there! I tried the method you used by saving the map and then touching it up on photoshop. The problem is, instead of loading one full 408 x 312 image in the map, it shows four! Please help :(
I've been doing it wrong! Thank you so much for the tutorial
What the - I DIDN'T KNOW THAT CAN BE DONE.
You are doing really amazing tutorial videos. That one will help me a lot on my project. :)
I was asking myself allways: "How are they doing that complex overlay?"
And you gave me the answer, thank you very much. :3 (\s/)
Such Energetic. Goodluck, Subscribed ;)
Wow! That was fantastic!

通行設定は別途リージョンプラグインで対応したほうがいいな。修正するときに透明だから全部変えないといけないし、設定漏れが分かりづらい。
This is a great idea, thanks
Where is the Plugin download link? -_-
Oh yeah.. i found this 2 years later!.. , well i know i'm a bit late but thanks! V_V
Omg you explained it so well thank you soo much XD
What are you talking about? I can't understand you, guys!

i have a question regarding the plugin - what is the max height and width a parallax map could be? because i tried this with a really big map, 100 x 100 RPGMV tiles and i got an error that its too big. i'm new to parallax mapping, so sry xD
+Belias It's cool - I find around 43x43 was where it would cap out on me and stop working, but it improved a bit with the most recent plugin version(or at least seemed too)
I imagine it will be able to do bigger maps at some point or another as new updates are released.
I have done my first parralax map on one world, but when I try to do it on another my character won't move please help
i got a problem :/ when i go in a house, or to a new area my overlay image wont go away... plz need some help ^^
Erase the picture on the Transfer event, or have a parallel event run on the new map set to Erase the picture, and then Erase Event for good measure.
AAHHHH thanks!!!! :D!
can you share the trees image? I really like them
Really good content!
Thank you i will.save it for my project....u are awesomw
I love you so much ❤❤❤. Wait no I mean I love you because of your tutorial seriously I will use it in my game 🎮. Thankyou i am finding how to do but can't for some reason thankyou so much 😅😅😅
Echo this is very helpful. Making me start over as I was designing tile sets. Got sick of trying to make it look unique. But it’s like block art almost. It’s horrible.
Can I just freehand draw everything ?.
So the only tiles I rely upon are the X O and * setting tiles.
Thank Echo067. I try to do the ground random dirt you just did, would be awesome to know how!
+Zen Warrior (Sylvain Grannary) I think Gimp has some predesigned features you can make look like really cool random ground dirt:3
+Echo607 oh no no no. i use photoshop ;)
Photoshop I find doesn't have as many built in resources. I'd probably use gimp if I wasn't already pro photoshop:3
You might be interested in using photoshop brushes though. Here are some free ones:

+Echo607 youre so kind for helping me! thank you!!!
You're welcome^_^ Happy game making!
Hoy to make herb walking with this technique?
where did she find the "clouds" brush???
Can you please do a video on how to make character pics when they're doing dialogue exchange? Like how visual novels do it? I really want know how to do that, please and thank you.
bro, I have genuinely used rpg maker for years and I just discovered NOW that you can save the map as a image
!?!???????????????????????????
My character isn't moving when I apply the plugin commands to the parallax map. The character can look around but not move at all in the map. Help please.
