Okra can be put on a piece of foil and put in oven with seasoning of your choice for about 30 minutes, it get rid of the rokeness or slime. Then drop it in your gumbo mix.
When you use frozen okra does the okra still have that slimy taste? Did you use frozen snow crabs or did you thaw out the crabs? All I see at the store is imitation crab meat. What brands are not imitation in stores like Randall, Tom Thumb, heb, Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons? I put blue crabs , crawfish tails, shrimp, sausage in my gumbo
@@lovelyrich54 ... Some people put mainly seafood in their " seafood gumbo " and they put mainly andouille sausage and chicken in their "chicken and sausage" gumbo. Personally, I throw everything in the pot and call it "gumbo"

Hello you said use beef bouillon cubes in the video but the description states chicken bouillon cubes, which one did you use??

Bro, make that roux in a shallow skillet or pan and move it to your stock pot. Bet that wrist was burning.
