    A billet flywheel, carb and intake. Plus a decent exhaust and relocate the starting switch and key. And remove the governor you probably have, but with a stock flywheel doing 55 detonation is a strong possibility. Nice build a lot of potential.

    My only complaint was there no possible way to get the motor more centered an maybe use a jack shaft setup to bring the chain back in line from the offset with the rear sprocket

      You can get a reversible clutch so the teeth are closer to the engine so it doesn't stick out so much. I tend to use the heavy duty clutches that are not reversible and only fit one way. Yes a jackshaft would help center things better.

    If you turned the clutch around and put the gear closer to the motor. The engine could be moved to the left about an 1 1/2”

    I agree with keeping the motor stock (though a muffler for better sounds) but a torque converter is a must. It will improve acceleration and make it ride smoother.

    You need the billet parts and it will stay together. Maybe an oil cooler.

    • @custombikesandtrikes4374
      @custombikesandtrikes4374  Год назад

      I had 2 Arc billet rods installed into two different engines. One installation was by a professional and the other one was not and they both ended up blowing holes in the blocks. I don't mind using other parts that are billet but I refuse to use the billet rods because the stock ones just work and I never have had a flywheel explode either. Not to say it'll never happen but I definitely don't trust those billet rods anymore. You don't need an oil cooler especially when the motor is already forced air cooled. I've never had one of these engines overheat and that's using them for years in the Vegas summer.

    you need a 40 series cvt and that will shorten the chain while giving you a higher top end

    • @joeyserpa9779
      @joeyserpa9779 Год назад

      Cvts are torque converters, meaning they give you torque and have no top end at all, it’ll get you to speed quickly but die once you hit 30-45

    • @BunkerBlog
      @BunkerBlog Год назад

      @@joeyserpa9779 CVTs and torque converters are not the same. People call these 30 series and 40 series "torque converters" but they are actually just simple CVT transmissions, just like on a quad or snowmobile. They can be just as fast as a clutch in most scenarios if geared correctly (plus having a CVT allows for more aggressive gearing than you can do with a single-speed clutch) but they do suffer from higher drivetrain loss.

    • @custombikesandtrikes4374
      @custombikesandtrikes4374  3 года назад +2

      I start off with a front end that already has a Nevada title. I don't have to have it inspected and I just registered it as whatever the front end was originally attached to. This particular bike was registered as a 125 Kawasaki Eliminator. Same with the insurance. Basically the VIN number is on the neck on most motorcycles.

      The front end was originally a 2001 Kawasaki eliminator 125, that is what the custom motorcycle was registered and insured as. I moved to Utah a few months ago and registered a homemade bike here the same way. Basically start off with a front-end that has a title already.

    • @custombikesandtrikes4374
      @custombikesandtrikes4374  Год назад

      There are two ways to combat that problem. Building a project with a wider tire will bring the motor in or using a clutch that could be mounted inboard or outboard that way the clutch teeth are closer to the engine. Either way will help move the engine in. If you get ambitious you can put a jack shaft in also.
