In usa Bob is used as a term for cutting it off short...bobing it off...

Choppers refers to chopping the neck to add rake to be able to run lonnger fork tubes. Simple as that.
Bobbers came from USA in the 1950s made from ww2 military surplus harley 45s stripped back and lightened for racing - the term bobber comes from a ridged frame with a spring mounted seat causing the rider to bounce (bob up and down) while riding on rough roads thus the term bobber (originally observers taking the piss ) refers to the rider not to the bike.
Nah, it refers to a bike which has had a "Bob job" done on it, which alludes to the term "Bob tail." It's because they would cut off the rear section of the rear fender(or just remove it entirely

I love the look of all of them but none of them sounded like they had more than 20 horse power. Why not go for 80 or more hp?
Funny how they seem to be in the UK, with all thier Rain (no fenders = WETall over & under) but as is the Non old school owner these days I dont call them Bikers till I know them & where their heart is) - most probably Not their only mode of transportation.

If you look closely it’s a swingarm off a modern sportbike (late 1990s, if I was going to guess) adapted to be a girder style front end. Pretty ingenious use of an existing part. Looks to have been welded with a spool gun not TIG so it’s definitely ugly.

these are modern rat rod "bobbers" You need to find some old photos of real bobbers. They were an American idea from the late 40's and 50's. Definitely not these steam punk rat rod interpretations. BOBBER meant stripped down stock bikes. Some of these bikes are interesting but they are a very loose interpretation of a bobber. My opinion is call them modern custom rat rods that are homages to the bobber spirit
