You guys are two of the luckiest dudes. I can't believe Go Powersports just let you do whatever you wanted to make that bike. With a 420 beneath the seat it doesn't really seem right to call it 'mini' anything now. Very cool!

I have sold so many of those exact same mini bikes at work. I remember one day i wondered why they was so popular, so i hopped on one for a test ride. I am not ashamed to admit that they are quick little fun suckers. Also love the work you do guys, and it has inspired me a bit on picking up a few future projects. Keep it up!
Reminds me of when I put a briggs 8hp on my mini bike with a torque converter, except I chopped the top of the frame off and used plywood and zipties as a seat for testin purposes... She pulled hard and kept on pullin and it was a genuinely adrenaline and fear-filled first ride!

This video inspired my to build a 440cc version of this. Makes 18hp and 26.6ft lbs of torque, then put a header, drilled the fuel jet out a a couple thousandths, performance air intake and torque converter, I got it geared down and it still goes 50mph without a struggle.

When I built my Baja I put a front brake on it to help the stopping. Just get a another rear wheel, and rear brake kit. It's not hard to do. I also got an enduro light kit and put the wiring and components in the tank. It was a fun project!

I still think building a swing arm and moving the rear axle back 6-12 inches would make more stabile and with suspension a smother ride.

My Uncle Steve Darnell had a Heath kit mini boonie bike and he said I could have it. I rebuilt the whole thing. The motor has never been rebuilt same as it was in the 60's. I pulled on the whole thing for 3 hours untill it started. I put it back together, and now have a mini bike. I watch these videos because I like to see people build new thing and make things better. I have been subbed since 5k and live watching all if your stuff! Keep it up I enjoy these kinds of videos

If those are the stock brakes, highly recommend upgrading them. On my ct200u, the stock brakes didn't last long *at all*, swapped them for EBC 304G brakes and they're way stronger and way quieter.

Been thinking if u going up long hills then down long hills u should put the fuel pipes pointing different ways and have a tap to choose which 1!av the 1 with the pipe facing back for uphill and tutha yen for down the way!

Remove the fake Coleman tank and get a real tank those double tanks are too small for any decent ride, and just don't look right.
we got more than 50 miles out of those tanks
Guess they looked smaller on the video, but I still think a real tank would be cool, I really don't like fake gas tanks, not trying to knock your build, looks like hella fun and plenty fast, wish I was going to Colorado with y'all, be safe
Leon H gonna agree, it'd look better hiding those two cans inside the fake tank, or even seal up the fake tank and put some fittings to it.
It would need a new tank, it looks like a plastic storage bin, the door fell off on the test ride, don't think it could be made functional, and too small to hide those tanks in, but many minibikes and small motorcycles have tanks close to that size, hydro dip it in the same camo, it would;d look stock
we wanted to keep the fake tank to hold the cameras during the rain

a 90 degree fitting on the bottom of the fuel tanks would be best suited for room and plumbing, for future reference. good job guys
A word of advice: weld some gussets on the steering head tube. I've had a Baja 220 for a while and have recently noticed a few hairline cracks around that area.

A: could you use the stock torque converter with this engine? and B: If so, would that mean you wouldn't need a riser plate?

It’s about the gearing that thing probably has mean torque
If you add a rack on the back like the red ct200u, can you mount the original gas tank the 420 came with on the back instead of spending an atm and leg for the other gas tanks

You guys should build a go kart with a motorcycle engine so you have gears and a clutch. THAT would be bad ass.
Isn't that a fuel tank on the top rail of the frain in front of the seat? I think adding a couple of fuel tanks for reserve is a very good idea but on a trip up into co. extra fuel is going to be needed to carry along with you on the trip anyways, thus make a small trail trailer to go behind it to carry along gear and tools and camping gear.
Can you please tell me where you got the clamps for the tanks. I’m doing the exact same build with a 440 duromax. I’ve got it all together but can’t find the clamps to mount the tanks to the top plate. Thanks
What would make installing these predator/Honda engines easier is if someone made a real fuel tank to replace the fake tank/storage compartment....go power sports? I see a opportunity here. ☺

If you turn the cap a little it lets some air in i do it with my honda gx 160 so i could get a little more fuel into the carb faster

If I bought one of these stock from tractor supply would a torque converter make it go faster because I herd they only do 20 mph stock
