What is your top speed?
You can get 60 mph with the right mods and gearing combination.
Hey, I was wanting to talk to you a little about how you were able to get the frame street legal with a VIN. I know it depends on the state, but I'm still interested in knowing. Have any resources or info?
@jamesrussell2936 That's easy, I start with a front end that is already titled in my name or titled in the same state I live in. Whatever the front end comes off of, its insured and registered as that. Most states don't do a Vin search or do an inspection once a vehicle has been titled already in that state. I only get minimum insurance on them. Mine is insured and registered as a 2001 kawasaki eliminator 125.
I have bought the Predator 420 before for various projects, this has got to be the best design I have seen. Looks really comfortable.
@DonaldT-s5f Those motors las t forever if you take care of them and don't mod them to death. 2 of my bikes and 1 trike are in Vegas with different owners. I still have mine, and they are all daily drivers.
@custombikesandtrikes4374 I know, I changed the oil regularly on my doombuggy and I had that 420 on mine for 7 years so far. Runs as good the day I bought it.
@custombikesandtrikes4374 John the guy who told me about his friends bike, he also told me not to modify them,he basically told me not to buy the billet rod or high performance cam, he's aid you will blow you engine to pieces, he said that he had a similar engine that he bought from vegas carts that had all that stuff in there and his connecting rod almost went through his nuts on the freeway
You do impressive work, there is a guy that works here at the Hampton hotel, he told me all about the one he has been driving here, I told him you have a million + dollar Idea. He said he borrowed the bike from his friend Eric until he gets his gold wing fixed up, I am thinking this motorcycle design is the bestI have seen, I was blown away when I first saw the red and black one parked at the Hampton hotel, I never in my life saw anything like this before. I have seen another of custom motorcycle designs, but not nearly as cool as this.
That one you seen rides really nice and the ergonomics worked out well also on that build.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 That's awesome
how did u run wires without showing
Eric's bike and my bike are solid as solid steel, both bikes are holding together and are extremely reliable, just giving an update to everything about our bikes, the predator 420 engines on both our bikes are holding strong, with 0 issues. The predator engines that you can only find at harbor freight are just as reliable as any Honda engine.
Not quite recumbent but getting there . Now a 1.9 tdi motor in there would be something
how does the exhaust sound? nice bike
@@TuffTgr Way better and far lighter than stock. Very reasonable price too.
I stopped at harbor freight on erics bike today, a guy at the cash register was so blown away, he wanted to know who built it and where can he get information on it, I gave him your RUclips channel. I even sent him the link to your channel and mine.
Wow, looks amazing 👏
0:00 WHAAAAA!?!?
I feel the same way😂
Es la moto mas horrible que e visto!!!!!!....
How neat. Idk I was searching random shit on the net and think I seen a forum from 4-5 years back with a Vegas 420cc home built motorcycle but couldn’t click the pics and knew that someone on a forum had to also have a RUclips and here we are! Awesome bike man I have a 420cc mini bike that I have done the same to mine cut it up and weld it up then repeat lol. I’m 33 and just love building with these cheap motors and love people’s faces when they see them. Anyways ride safe ❤ and keep on getting down the road on something you made. No better feeling then that
Yep, i barely remember that forum but was definitely probably me. Im taking a break from motorcycles and going back to my roots with building recumbent bicycles again. Thinking about making another youtube channel just for that. Ill motorize some of them with small harbor freight engines. I do love the 420cc though, for sure a work horse for daily street use!
you got my sub. your comment on that recumbent bike video led me here
Check out some of my other videos if you get bored. There are definitely some interesting builds for sure!
Predator 670 +motorcycle transmission gearbox will look sweet on this thing
The guy that took it off my hands did put a 670 in it.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 does he have a yt channel or some pic of it would love to see the 670 chopper
I'd relocate the tank, and make a pickup truck bed in the back for carrying groceries and cargo.
That's funny because I was thinking about that as a concept a while back. I was going to have a john deere paint theme with green and yellow and build a wooden stake bed around the tank and beyond it. Effective making a two-wheeled farm truck theme. A smaller tank or flatter like a generator tank would give more room.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 First thing I did was add a pickup truck bed to my 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 over the back seat and rack. Have a huge duffle bag on top, with cardboard box inside to maintain shape, to haul groceries in. On my Honda CMX450 I have a huge Sterlite black footlocker mounted on the back over the rack and seat. Been using it for like a decade to haul groceries. Hauled 4 two liters, a bunch of chips, a Hot N Ready Pizza, and some other items home in it today. I think I've pioneered a new style of bike, the Pickup truck bed bike, but arguablly I'm sure the Chinese did it first somewhere else with cargo bikes. I get to call mine a Pickup Truckbed (tm) though because I'm from the hillbilly hick south. 😛 A definite redneck thing to do, add a pickup truck bed to a motorcycle, who would of thunk it. I did, because I had a definite need to get groceries home every 2 weeks, its the only job my motorcycles really have year round.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 see my community tab for pics.... before I put the cardboard box in to hold it's shape.
Did you build that from scratch or bought it that way I new to your Channel
All of the custom bikes and trikes are my channel handmade by me. If you get bored, flip through a few of my older videos, and you will see all kinds of these things running around.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 I'm going to do that bet that up it's good to know I'm not the only one out here
I thought you might have liked those handlebars on the three-wheeler I'm taking you to work out too
Okay okay homeboy you talked me into it I just grabbed your channel too let's take this ride😊😊
We little guys gotta stick together to build an empire.😂
Alright you say that again
Buck Potter RUclips channel Isis Delphine different😮😮😮 anyways thumbs up😊😊
I skimmed through your channel, I'm going to thoroughly check it when I get the chance!
Oh stop it
That’s a really cool build nice work bro
Check out my older videos to see other recumbent motorcycles I've built recently.
Och !!! Broken thumbs 👍 up !!! 👍 Reminds me when I used to roof houses in my 20s. Using a roofing hammer 🔨 with a square ⛶ shaped hammer head & the edge of the hammer head smacked the tip of my left thumb HARD 😢 😡 😢 I couldn't look at it. Put a tight fitting glove on my left hand to stop the bleeding. I'm pretty sure it broke that same bone tip in my thumb.
It was brutal but happened so fast at the same time. That hammer must have sucked🤬
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 I got lucky a few years ago with an angle grinder. It could have been worse. I had a thin cutting disc 💿 on it, when it kicked up & came down on the back of my hand slicing it wide open & knicked the bone, grinding a small bit of bone away. It somehow missed the tendons, my hand was throbbing after it stitched up & meds wore off...#GoodTimes lol Thick gloves from now on.
A good pair of channel locks will do the trick when holding small objects that you try to drill through, your lucky the drill bit didn't go through your hand, cause that would really make a fucked up Dat for everyone.
I'm not gonna hate on your video. You sound like me my "pre-edited" vids years ago. Experiments are fun! And the little moments like the cat are forever. You get that rush when riding it the first time, thinking, "this is safe enough..." Keep it up man!
I've had my motorcycle license 29 years and have more bikes than I care to remember in my lifetime. I've built dozens of recumbent motorcycles more likely than probably anyone in the United States has at least.I can't speak for europe. They're all a little different and they all ride similar. But I am addicted to building, so i'm not gonna stop anytime soon. I've never learned how to edit any of my videos in all the time I've had a channel, one day I'll learn I suppose. I've been doing backyard metal fabrication for about 25 years with very little equipment. The viewers want to piss and moan because I'm not American Chopper level🤣 check out my other videos for more of these recumbent motorcycles if you get bored.
Nice work, test and run its how we advance our builds. I'm going to copy most of your frame design, but change it to 2wd off road design.
I can't wait to see your version! This has been a daily driver. I own a 2022 kawasaki z650rs also, but I still find myself riding this one more, it has a lot of miles on that Predator motor 😅
👍
Yer ideas are so good but ya worry about fender color? Cat vids? If ya spent more time engineering, you'd build a better bike....
My dads bikes blow whatever you could think of out of the water
My only complaint was there no possible way to get the motor more centered an maybe use a jack shaft setup to bring the chain back in line from the offset with the rear sprocket
You can get a reversible clutch so the teeth are closer to the engine so it doesn't stick out so much. I tend to use the heavy duty clutches that are not reversible and only fit one way. Yes a jackshaft would help center things better.
shockingly it isn't the weirdest bike ive seen
I never claimed it was the weirdest but if you get bored check out my newest videos, there are many more of these things running around.
Do you think a forklift or tractor seat would work? Can you show how you attached the seats base to the frame?
The tractor seat or a forklift seat would be too wide to be able to put your legs down at a stop. There's square tubing welded together holding the seat to the frame.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 I'm having issues looking up seats. What's the magic word?
@@jessetrimble7312 Are you trying to mount it to a maddog or similar scooter?
@@custombikesandtrikes4374 I have a maddog 150cc and I'm modding it for Doordash
akira...
If I had the skills to work with plastics, I would make an attempt at Akira but for now all these types of bikes will do. Check out my newer videos if you haven't already you will find newer models and even one with rear suspension that I'm currently working on.
@@custombikesandtrikes4374ive been checking them out... ur bikes are cool dood... i got 8 motorcycles but i never ever had the guts to try and build my own... i was in thailand for a couple years learning kick boxing and my license expired... so when i got back stateside in october i got a ebike so i could get around... i stil havnt gotten my license renewed yet... but i almost got enough spare parts from replacing and upgrading my e bike to make a new one and well im looking for inspiration... found ur channel and i think its awesome dood... chances of me making a e bike out of the parts i got are slim to none... but i love to dream and i love to see people make thier dreams into real life... i subbed and im looking forward to ur new vids...
Looks truly unique 😮.. I love it 😀 😍..can't wait to see what you do next 😮keep doi😢it!!
If you havent already, check out some of my other videos. There are a few more of these things that are running around that i built, this is my favorite build so far!
great job
More reliable than an OCC chopper.
That's why I like those motors, simple and very little to go wrong with them.
Ow! My buh, wait- oh, hey, nice, springy, back feels great....
Oh yeah!
I have a 2000 Buell Cyclone sitting in my backyard under a tarp that needs a lot of work....I think the Buell front end & other parts off it would look good on a recumbent like this.
Go for it, you won't regret it!
Man the bike ain't even close to being done and it pops out at you, the black and purple look amazing.
Dude that thing looks BEEFY!!! HOLY SHIT!!! Keep it up dude!!!
I didn't have money to buy bigger shocks and it was the only thing I could think of but I wasn't completely sure it would work. It leaves me the ability to still fine tune the shocks.
Rubber Condoms and Nutz to spruce up your bike, priceless 🤣
That's crazy this video actually has over 6,000 views, that's awesome.
Looks like a Honda Rebel gas tank & predator motor ?
You are correct, 420cc predator and rebel tank.
Tires aren't rebel though, look like off of an older Honda CB something. Smaller and drum brakes.
@@choppergirl Front end and rear tire off a 1975 Honda cl360. Check out my other videos for similar bike builds if you get bored!
I love your concept keep it up

You should do a trike one now
I have, check out my other videos.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is that behemot of things? No offence but.. it wont win many design awards, if any 😋 Keep trying and dont give up!
Sounds good make some custom fairrings for it
Why
The only answer to that question is because I can and nobody stops me.
swisstella
What's the cvt on it?
Didn't have a brand on it, just a basic version for the 420cc.
40 series that's all I know,
Get some silica embedded, dual compound motorcycle tires. Instead of the cheaper non silica, single compound tires.....There's a HUGE difference in both safety and performance. Especially on wet roads, the silica embedded tires have silica, aka sand, mixed into the melted rubber to grip on wet & light frost covered roads. With the dual compound silica Bridgestone tires. I could ride in the rain almost as if, the roads were dry. Then I made the mistake of buying cheap Kenda non silica tires & was sliding all over when caught in the rain. It felt unsafe to ride, compared to the Bridgestones. I'll never buy non silca MC tires again.
Not a lot of tire choices when it came to those particular rims due to the age of the bike. At this point I think he'll just be happy to be riding on new rubber and not 50 year old tires lol.
It's really to get to see it drive....I know places like gopowersports sell engine upgrade parts to get several more hp for a 212cc along with upgraded clutches and CVT parts. They have parts to get a 212 to 70-75mph easy but still be reliable. But you probably already know this lol. An awesome touring bike would be this with rear suspension, a flat gas tank for more storage room, maybe an adjustable windscreen & fairing, phone charger/mount, heated grips, hand guards to keep cold wind from blowing on your gloves, $25 12V heated car seat cover attached to the seat. ( just throwing out some ideas) The 212 engine & CVT & more aerodynamic recumbent seating position. Is gonna much better mpgs than a motorcycle. Of course I've probably already said this several times 🤪 Some large dual disk brakes up front. To use like 80% front brake/20% rear will give quick stopping power in an emergency. Without the rear end locking up, sliding out, causing a wipe out. Several riders both new & old often make the mistake of always using too much rear brake & not enough front brake when they stop.
I use the 420 predator not the 212. The current one I'm building for myself does have rear suspension and dual discs up front.
Sweet deal
Just happy we got two videos from you so quick
