CulturedCars yes!!!!! When I was little and first watched fast and the furious I instantly fell in love with the skyline and that’s how I became into cars

Never in my life did I ever think I'd learn so much about these movie cars some 15+ years later. Craig is the man!! The GTR scenes from 2F2F are my all-time favorite in any car movie. Just so epic, especially against the Miami backdrop.
Man, i wish this car gets more screen time.
I believe that the green EVO should have been brian's car then he is given the GTR where the NOS is in the trunk where the stare and drive scene is still in the film
Imagine if they bought it back, they went to Paul’s old storage unit or something (in the movie) and it was just sat there with dust on it and they start it up and do a bunch of street races or scenes for Paul
R34 skyline will always be my favorite Japanese sports car off all time,I want to own one someday when they get fully legal to the United States.

2:38 Holy crap, that's how I had my skylines looked in video games, all blue with a red stripe on the side like that's how I had them in NFS but seeing in real life, is something I never thought I'd see.
This video brought back so many memories of my childhood watching this movie everyday after school. That car and Paul are one of the main reasons why I fix and build cars for a living. I just wanna say thanks to Craig and of course a big thanks to Paul. We all miss you brother! RIP "The Buster"

@@7_eleven790 alot of midnight club a private and never know much to public some imagine did them but thought car build to take long high top speed not for high HP... I know some of the guy and the shop.... alot of part are custom made for driver....

I know owning the real deal is better than owning it in die-cast form, but for an inaccessible car like the R34 GTR, the diecast version is as close as anyone will get to owning one.
Honestly the SRT4 is my dream car, look at where Mopar and the SRT brand is today...it started with a four-banger.

The biggest bullshit was the fact Brian found the GTR at a local used car dealership is off the charts.
The R34 was only the few of those R34 imported by Motorex.
This is the car that got me into enjoying the skyline
For me it was r32 from initial d and damn imo r32 is way sexier than r34 but ofc as a chassis r34 is the best out skylines
Nakazato’s Initial D R32 is currently my favorite Skyline GTR followed by Brian’s 2F2F R34.

I'm really curious how much was the price that Craig thought was outrageous and crazy
I'd say 1 million dollars. Say the price Craig paid to buy and import the car from MotoRex and add some modifications, would be around 100K. Accounting for the rarity of the vehicle being federally road legal, hero car in 2F2F, rising demand of R34 and current market price, and Craig giving an outrageous price, it would easily get to 7 figures.
so they bought the car and returned it to stock? so it was worth more as a “road legal Gtr” than it was for being the hero car in 2F2F

I'm late but I have a theory as to why the NX logos were covered on those nitrous tanks.
In the movie Brian uses nitrous to clear that bridge jump and win the race. At the end he pats those tanks and laughs as if he's crediting his victory to those nitrous tanks. Now if the NX logo was shown, the message wouldn't be "Brian won because of nitrous" but rather "Brian won because of Nitrous Express" which in turn would garner NX free publicity and sales(even though a proper product placement deal wasn't made)
So to avoid all of this, they just covered the tanks up. The logo on the bumper probably doesn't mean anything or contribute to anything so it was fine to leave it on. But that's just my way of looking at it, I could be wrong.
OR.. NX didn’t want people tryna beat trains and jump over bridges thinking their product will make their car fast enough to do it.

It was Ride Revolution in Johnson city tn. They were originally Motor Mavericks, but went to copyright and Ford blocked the copyright, so they changed the name. They also built the infamous yellow supra for hulk hogan.

The hero car currently is black, I can’t remember if it even has the bodykit. It would take a lot of work to restore it. If I could afford it I’d love to try

I don’t get why Craig didn’t like the movie livery. Unlike some of the other cars in that film it actually looks really good. And in my opinion much better than the blue and bright red he had the car.
willzibub I think it’s just a matter of opinion and common trends from back then. I personally like both designs but if I were to get a GTR I would probably copy the signal auto livery

i dont know, but afaik, ALL motorex Skylines were also federally ILLEGAL, because they were brought in as kit cars. Meaning, they were disassembled in japan, brought over part by part, and were re-assembled by motorex. You can import a skyline pre 25 year-rule, but you cant drive more than 100 miles a year with it hence the "showcar"-plate.

I hope everything you just said was a Joke. All MotoRex cars were imported normally. Some were modified to meet compliance per NHTSA guidelines some not. Almost all wound up being legal. KAIZO was the kit car fuck up.

@@TheRacingJoker Universal paint was terrible.. it just look good on screen but it won't last long... he did complain that he spend alot of money on repaint on both supra and gtr... and they want to change it... he get his paint idea from lamborghini since back then... you don't want to used strange paint color without comparison...

We all would've, Craig even suggested that Brian start with the Evo and be in the Skyline for the second half of the movie. It would've made more sense, especially since the story would've been the feds had confiscated the car and gave it to Brian (only this time it's a confiscated R34 rather than a confiscated Evo)

It is intercooler sprayer kit which improves the efficiency of the intercooler.

Yep, non GTR R34s were made as early as 1998 which makes their 25th birthday in 2023, the GTRs start in 2024
Those laws don’t make sense to me, because who I may ask were these people to test this car out to see if it was legal? This cars specs were just as normal any other car.

Tbh, the C-West Bodykit is THE (Aftermarket) GTR Bodykit in my opinion. I would go for the C-West over any other kit, but the C-West and stock GTR kit variants are on par for me

Depends on what you mean. The engine in real life was a twin turbo RB26 with HKS 2540 twins. I'm sure a little bit of 2JZ was used for the sounds because clearly the sound teams loved that engine.
