When I was in the Army I was fortunate enough to meet Paul at the Atlanta airport when I was heading overseas. He took the time to speak with us for a few minutes and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing, despite the guy he was with trying to hurry him along to his boarding gate. He even took a photo with us. I cherish that moment because I always thought he was the coolest dude ever and appreciated that he was willing to hang out with us for a bit.
Yeah Han (sung kang) is a big car guy he’s pretty much his character in real life working on and building cars etc. I love how he embraces his character aswell if you follow him on social media you’ll see.
I was into cars before the fast and the furious but the first three movies is what got me into tuner cars then JDM cars, as a kid I’ve always wanted a second gen Eclipse like the one Paul drove
R.I.P. Paul!!!Man, I wish we could time travel back to the day's when life was truly what life was about and everyone was genuine and not paranoid of one another!!!The 90's and the early 2000's was the high light of my life and I miss it dearly!!!

Paul was a loss to the entire world, we need more people like Paul Walker. I know i cried a little bit that day, even as a grown man i was such a fan of the movies and Paul's character, it was just devastating. RIP Mr.Walker. We miss you.
Thanks for sharing this story. Paul may have been the best acting "non actor" we have been blessed to have as part of the car community. You say he was the real deal, and so do many other sources. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. And another huge thank you to Cody Walker for carrying on Paul's legacy and stepping in for the movie(s). My heart goes out to the Walker family.
He really seemed like an awesome dude. The type of guy who could really get along with anyone. I remember hearing about him the day he died and it was a huge shock. My entire school was talking about it. He really had a lot of fans.
Also..thank you Craig for sharing your stories with us so awesome to hear and see what you have experienced in the fast franchise and in your own life behind the wheel.. keep them coming..👍🏼
This was a great story and probably like so many I was glued to my screen listening and watching. For you to say you you didn't hang out at parties or weren't buddy buddy, you guys shared a passion and his hobbies that made a connection, you were still mutual friends and kept in contact, your raw emotion at the end of this video when you brought up the crash and those memories just shows, you were equally his family ❤️ much respect Craig, id of given anything you be in your shoes in the course of this franchise
Big time miss Paul Walker, One of the biggest reasons why I wont sell my supra is out of respect to paul, everytime I sit in it and fire it up just reminds me of him and the first movie in 2001 that made me fall in love with tuner cars, ontop of that single handedly building it up from scratch, getting bits and parts to get the way I want it and it still isnt finished since 2010 lol, Hopefully by summer 2023 next year I have the bodykit fully completed and painted.
Awesome dude keep working on it and keep it they are so valuable now its crazy no one would have though that those cars would have been what they are worth today!
@@shanetyler9391 Its crazy that I owned 2 considering how rare they have gotten. I had a red one and currently a black one, the red one I had from 2007-2010, long story short it got damaged in a crash, bought a black SZ to transfer everything from the red RZ, TT engine, straight through exhaust system, apexi air filter, afc neo, all the electronics, practically everything apart from the bodykit and wheels which unfortunately were damaged. So since 2010 its been a long build but I love every minute of it seeing it take shape, even met my gf in 2011 who is now my wife, drove it on our first date, even she cant believe I still held onto it to this day but she understands why I am keeping it.

For myself I never met Paul Walker but when I heard he was gone it honestly was heartbreaking and my opinion the franchise hasn't been the same since I do respect that they pay homage to him that's pretty dope I miss u paul rest in paradise thanks for the entertainment you gave us it will never be duplicated
I actually met my best friend at my job and we raced our cars to 2 Fast 2 Furious and before that, I was into cars but when the first F&f came along, that's what really got me into cars heavy and When Paul Walker passed, the franchise hasn't been the same because I feel that the only reason there was still a decent car scene in the movie was because of his love for cars!! Good video and story!!
It teared me up, when i heard of his passing and i cant to this day listen to the tribute song, without dropping a tear. The passing of my grandparents after that, certainly didnt help either. I cant listen to that song anymore, i have to change station every time.
I still remember where I was when I saw the news headline. Kuala Lumpur international airport waiting for my Air Asia flight back to Hong Kong after a wedding. I still remember the shock and disbelief as I read of what had happened and the loss of such a genuine, down to earth and humble human being.
The end really got me. I remember where I was when we heard. I was at my brother's place. We were playing games with my niece and nephew just goofing off. I totally agree with ya. Paul was just one of us and he seemed so genuine. I especially love that interview he did where he was saying that he loved when people called him Brian instead of Paul because he loved that character so much. I'd say the only other person that is just as passionate about cars is Sung Kang. Yeah,Paul was cool and down to earth to chat with indeed. On set of the Varsity Blues set, he liked my turbo s14 ,and drove it for a few donuts in the parking lot on set at lunch. We chatted alot bout jdm cars cause i was born in Japan, and my dad had a hakosuka 4 door,rx2 and rx3. He is missed indeed.
He liked Guns that's friggin awesome :) i love guns and JDM cars also pretty amazing got another friend that has a S13 that has a serious RB26 Build over 800hp he likes guns also and i have a S14 with a SR pretty good build and a very clean car no rust at all. Paul was a legend among the Tuner community and car community in general. He was and always will be my favorite character in those movies it was such a shock to me when he died i got pretty drunk when i found out he died he was a hero to me and so many others.
I remember working at Home Depot at the Torrance Crossroads in 2003ish, and Ken Takahashi would show up in the Apexi R34 for the Friday night meets there (I have pictures somewhere of him standing on my shopping kart killer '58 Dodge!), and I remember that Skyrine shooting 10 foot flames as he jammed down Skypark drive!
Something worth noting, Paul’s qm1 r34 was fitted with a HKS 2.8L crate motor and made 800hp. It was fitted in his ownership and there’s a tweet on his twitter from 2012 about it. Really cool stuff and a genuine car guy. Rip mate
I think the year 2000 was the year I got into cars. My dad owned a blue Buick Grand Prix with a 5.0. 4 speed auto. Not sure what year, but probably from 85-87. Had the console shifter too. He ended up selling it after my parents bought a house. Wasn't a fast car, but as a kid it was a cool car to ride in. On my 10th Birthday I had a Fast and The Furious birthday cake lol. That movie, along with Gran Turismo, Need For Speed Underground games, and then 2 Fast 2 Furious movie is what got me into cars even farther. It had a car model of the Supra. I've always loved the green eclipse, but later in life realized it wasn't even a 4g63... same as Jesse's Jetta not being a vr6 😅. Now I love drag racing, drifting, rally, and pretty much anything car related. I do have to say I have seen The Fast and The Furious movie at least over 50 times. I used to watch it as a teenager. My dad still jokes about it. Now being 31, I still watch the movie every 2 years. I know the first movie is a little unrealistic, but it still brings joy to me watching Paul rip the "420a" in the parking lot and say, "SHITTT!" 😅
You see. a simple suggestion of yeah you should tell that story to the youtube a verse. turned into a great share. dont keep these gems under the hat. let em shine. even if you think its a silly story. it means something to someone trust me on that.
That’s still a tough loss I loved muscle cars when I was a kid because of my dad being a gear head but it was Paul and The Fast and the Furious movies that got me into the import tuner scene I was actually 17 when the first film came out and 18 or 19 when the second film came out I use to have a whole collection of tuner magazines like Super Street, Import Tuner, and a couple others and I would look through them over and over again dreaming of the day I could build my own and have it in a magazine unfortunately that never happened but I had a deep love for Imports I was a huge Mitsubishi EVO fan I wanted a EVO 8 so bad.
