    "The Great Gig in the Sky" is by far the most compelling evidence for the synchronicity phenomenon. I highly doubt that Pink Floyd could have done this intentionally with the technology available at the time. I prefer to think that there may very well be a higher power that has a fondness for stoners and out of boredom one day decided to blow their minds.

    • @giggles7179
      @giggles7179 Год назад +33

      And consider this: What's more impressive, the fact that Pink Floyd could have somehow crafted this album in time with the movie or the fact that even in scenes that have little-to-no orchestration, "The Wizard of Oz" was filmed and edited with a rhythm and tempo that could make this phenomenon possible? We always ask the former question when the latter is even crazier to consider.

      We are vessels, or cars, by today's vernacular.
      What drives you?
      The synchronicity keeps going.. and going.. and going.
      It has always been right in front of us, which is the big joke; we were looking right at it, but we didn't know.
      We perceive the reality that is presented, it's true.

      @@RLucas3000 It's a coincidence. The movie is supposed to be synced with The Dark Side of the Moon album. When it's over, it loops back to the beginning and continues to blow your mind. I don't know what songs are on your Dark Side album, but mine doesn't have songs like "Wish You Were Here" or any live tracks. Whatever this is was a good try. Some things do line up. Play any album with any movie and you'll have that. But, like I said, this is wrong. It gets even better than this guys. The first glimpse you get of The Emerald City is at the exact same time the cash register sound beginning "Money" plays. I urge you to not accept this version.

    It’s amazing how the movie reaches the point where the tin man is gesturing to his chest and commenting that he has no heart just as the album is ending on the heartbeat. What’s even more amazing is if you begin playback of the album as the lion roars the third time and jumps from the rock, as others here have mentioned, the album ends on the heartbeat just as the Wizard is pulling the heart out of the bag to give to the tin man. Both versions are remarkable, but when the lion roars the third time is better. When the airport explosion occurs in the album, Glinda’s magic breaking the wicked witch’s spell is cast and it begins to snow on them while they’re sleeping in the field. The album offers the perfect soundtrack this way. Right as “Money” begins, the screen explodes in green in the emerald city. It’s crazy. You don’t even need drugs to experience this. I’ve never found anything else like it ever. How did Pink Floyd do it?!

    I remember this way back then.. A friend and I tried this. So, we had the record player and the movie. In the beginning of the movie, on the 3rd lions roar, we started the Pink Floyd song. It was amazing and so cool. Everything coincide with the music and film. What fun it was.

    It's trippy to think that Dark Side was much closer chronologically to this movie than we are to Dark Side.

    2003, I lined it up perfectly while on 4-Meo-Amt. Greatest high I ever had. 20 yrs later, I watch it & almost feel the high.

    This was called "The Dark Side of OZ" back in the day. My buddy in College did this for his Senior Project. In the school theatre, complete with crazy lighting.

    So cool to re-watch this! I first saw this when I was in high school probably 1986-ish. My boyfriend at the time loved Pink Floyd. His parents had bought a new VHS player 😂 and they got some movies- one of them The Wizard of Oz. ❤

    Watching this once a year as a child on tv was an EVENT. Terrifying and thrilling and just …major. In the 70’s we had so little input.

    I saw this in a movie theatre! It was a late showing at the local arthouse cinema, and the crowd was rowdy. Some of the most fun I've had at a public screening of anything.

      I saw it played in concert in Pittsburgh, a cover band called the Machine did it with the movie on a screen behind them. If you closed your eyes, it was pink floyd, they were that good.

    The entire song of Money is the best, the munchkins all dance in sync with Dave’s awesome guitar! Us and Them have several lyrics that match up with the movie such as: black and blue.. the witch is in black, Dorothy is in blue.. who is who and which is which, which witch is witch … it’s all just awesome!
