Mary - thanks so much for the shout out!!! ❤️ It’s so important for people to be well informed about these online consignment stores, and to be aware of the risks! I truly hope our unfortunate experiences will be helpful and, hopefully, save someone from experiencing something similar 🙏 Love xx
Thanks for making this video. I had the same experience with a LV dust bag. The buyer cancelled the purchase because of that and the item was listed again on my profile for selling without dust bag.
It finally occurred to me who she looks like (with the right make up and hair of course): young Priscilla Presley. That would be a sensational fancy dress party costume, no?
Mary, your in-depth discussion on the perils of selling luxury goods on platforms like Vestiaire Collective is a wake-up call for many of us in the luxury community. Sharing Lane's experience alongside your own insights not only sheds light on the potential mishandling of items but also serves as a crucial reminder to document every step of the selling process. It's unsettling to hear about missing packaging components, possibly impacting the item's value and authenticity perception. Your video is a valuable resource, encouraging sellers to take preventative measures to protect their investments. It's commendable how you've used your platform to amplify this issue, fostering a more informed and cautious approach to navigating the pre-loved luxury market. Your dedication to raising awareness and providing practical advice is truly appreciated. Looking forward to more enlightening content on navigating the luxury world with mindfulness and caution.
Terrible first experience of VC sold a bag packed beautifully with thank you note and posted same day - authentication service cancelled the purchase accusing me of buying it in an outlet or private sale - incorrect !!and they had the receipt from a uk department store. Customer service ignored me for 1.5 weeks trying to explain repeatedly this was their mistake Bag being sent back to me I had already declined an offer on another platform so now I am back to square one! Trying to raise a complaint but still being ignored Such a huge waste of time 😤
So sorry to read about your bad experience! Even if the bag would have been from an outlet: it would still be an authentic piece and there should be no problem in selling it! But when you even had a receipt from a department store, it's just ridiculous they declined it!
That's why I took pictures and videos when I prepared each item for shipping. You cannot trust VC, if you want to sell with them still. And now I know why sometimes they don't post the packaging pics I provided. They probably needed those to sell the fakes they are stuck with in their warehouse.

I‘m experiencing a Sh…-show right now with them and heard crazy stories from my friends as well. Can someone sue them once and for all so they finally stop this? There has to be a lawyer within the people who had a bad experience as well. We all pay so much money to VC and loose money and items because of VC, that is so not ok.
I purchased a LV bag which was supposed to come with original receipt but I didn't receive the receipt. Turns out Vestaire Collective 'lost' it and as compensation they were willing to refund item or if I keep item, I would receive a 10% voucher off my next purchase. Needless to say, I won't be buying anything from VC again
Exactly the same happend to my with an LV receipt aswell, already several years ago 😳 - wow, makes you wonder, if they do keep these receipts for sketchy reasons and possibly selling on inauthentic items with them 🙈

Hi Mary, here's the solution: the last time I bought from VC - it was a Hermes handbag - I received the packaging three times (shopping bags, bows, boxes), which weren't listed. I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them and put everything in the cellar for the time being. 😀

They probably pay their employees very low wage, and ppl who are underpaid start to feel resentful and do things like this either to make an extra buck or out of spite towards the company. I saw your message on IG and answered you there - unfortunately it‘s very difficult to come to a pleasant solution with VC. Their customer service is terrible and they do whatever they can to not refund you.
@LuMiLevelUp I appreciate your response, well atleast what one could do is just still have them "known" out there in spreading awareness to dear, wish me luck well here comes a rodeo for me with VCL🙂↔️
How many times did you watch my videos and didn’t like them? Yet still come back and watch even more? But since I actually have the stats, here you go: I shopped on VC since 2017, 71 purchases in total. 43 of them went pleasant, nothing to complain. 14 got canceled (most of them, because the seller didn't sent the item to VC, maybe 4 of them because of the VC quality control). 6 items kinda disappointed me and I would have returned them, if I could (but nothing was completely off). And 8 experiences were straight up bad. I think it's normal and okay, if preloved shopping is not always perfect - that’s why I gave them several chances - as well cause I made many good experiences with them in the past - but the customer service should try their best to help and it just got worse and worse. And now I definitely learned my lesson and won’t go back to shop with them.
@@LuMiLevelUp so just 10% and yet you s.ht on them with multiple videos ? is Ebay better ? is Amazon better ? nobody has a 100% satisfaction rate and 100% of orders with 0 issue. its a market place, they dont control the sellers and the buyers. so try and present things in a more balances way next time. there are 800 people who work for that company.

I cant understand. My buyer and i messaged privately and we agreed about the price. I offered my buyer our price and vestiaire add extra 9.09 percent in my offer. My buyer counter offer my price and vestiaire deducted 9.09 percent in his price. He told me he counter offered the price that we agreed and i also did the same.
Answered your comment on my other video, but not sure if I get it right 🤔
@@LuMiLevelUp that means vestiaire will get 20 percent (10 percent for both buyer and seller) when item is sold...
I think you should shopping there: it will save you headaches.
I stopped shopping! Just sharing this experience of a fellow RUclipsr to help raise even more awareness. I‘m done with VC!
My dear, I did like to ask how did you get VCL to refund your purchases like my goodness, lately I'm starting to suspect that they might be the one stealing my seller's items?😭

This is disgusting... I'm deleting this app
It's getting more and more absurd with them 🤯
how many times did you buy there and how many times did it go wrong ?
How many times did you watch my videos and didn’t like them? Yet still come back and watch even more?
But since I actually have the stats, here you go:
I shopped on VC since 2017, 71 purchases in total.
