Oof, that part about taking a break from facing fears. That hit hard.

Maybe I didn't give it enough time to explain it thoroughly. The day I abandon the act of facing fears, is the day I die. BUT, when you have A LOT OF STRESSFUL THINGS GOING ON, you have to choose what to put your energy towards. You can't do it all at the same time. And if you have a super stressful week at your job, maybe it's not the time to go approach 10 people. I'm just saying adapt and don't expect you to be a superhuman every day, because you're not.
And there are also nuances to it. When I've been really "weak", I've just down-regulated what I count as a "fear-facing action". Just smiling and saying hi to the cashier have been executed as such some days.

Self-learning man, that is what you've gone/are going through. And then, to share your learnings with others... that is life meaning :-)

The purpose of life, is the meaning you make it to be!

So (hopefully) not any more Burnout video for a while. What kind of video would you like to see me do next? :)
I've been feeling a bit hungry to go back to a weekly live stream, Sundays in such case. The idea is to briefly challenge myself (and you?) to do some fear-facing throughout the week, and then summarize how it went the following Sunday, while also putting out a new challenge. Anyone that would join me if I did this? ^^

Holy shit, this happened to me last year. Company got bought out, I was working on call at odd hours of the night, trapped at home from covid being isolated, staying up late every night till 3am, get up at 9am, not eating till 11pm, eating only after going for a run cuz I was working from my bed all day, watching violent TV shows and movies, depressing news stories, just suchhhh a bad lifestyle. I cant beleive I did that to myself still. It culminated in a severe migraine where I couldn't see, which sent me into a panic attack which lasted like an hour. It's the 2nd self induced burnout in 4 years...the migraines were the straw that broke the camels back which happened in 2017 and 2021. Past traumas came up, etc etc. I can definitely relate to the worry thing.......

Man, you have really been through it too! It's so easy to look back and think "How could I do that to myself?"!. Yet, we still have days where we fall into that trap, A light version happened to me yesterday! We have to constantly remind ourselves of the lessons we have been through, so that we are able to not fall into their old habits and behaviours. It's not easy though, I get soo sucked into things that it's almost out of my control! That's why I need my strict guidelines and routines to keep me on track. Working with a timer. Limit the use of things I easily overdo, learning to say no to things I really don't have time for. Rest when it is time to rest. etc.
Hope you've learned your lesson today, not being perfect, but at least catching yourself when you "miss behaved" so you can do better moving forward. Like me yesterday-today.
      Keep it up my friend!

I definitely recognize many of these topic u just brought up bud, it’s so easy to forget about your own well being, yet it is the utmost important part of you to stay healthy and functional. Many good insight! Keep growing 🙌🏽

That's the thing - it certainly is the most important for us to stay healthy and functional! But we get narrow visioned and shortsighted when we get caught up in the everyday business of life. That's why staying mindful and aware thought the day, so we can make choices aligned with our long-term vision, is fundamental!
      Keep it up my friend!
