Why does everyone complain about back seats not having amenities in a car built for speed and performance?!?!
Because a lot of people who buy this think it's just a Honda Civic with a lot of horsepower and they go well I wanted to carry my family will you can but if you want a real period four-door sedan that carries your family around go get a Honda Accord I would consider the Honda Civic Type R a sports car

The center console is no plastic but aluminum. If you touch it you feel the cold metal. Finally someone cleaned the exhaust tips before filming. Thumbs up for that!

White is the original color. Not sure why ppl complain when its black and white paint job like a panda. I find it really bouncy even on comfort mode. Even the shifter isnt always smooth, sometimes its clunky. I find it not as comfortable in long drives, especially if your lower back hurts.
Needs to be AWD, the power is there though, for 44 plus, ugh they could've done more to it, kinda just throwing people bones more than anything. I'd like to see it jacked up with a 2 inch lift, and some all terrain tires, that would be interesting.
The seats are comfy , red carpet and red seat belts. 😅is what got from the video. I’m sure there’s the usual $$$ dealer markup , in SoCal definitely
I don't get why the back seats are black. Subaru did full color cloth/carpet in the old STI and at least everything matched

Yea it is, probably one of the only things I dislike about this car. It handles and drives well, but when I disconnect my phone after a short drive and it’s the same percent it is very annoying.
@hamzaabdullah5583 agreed. They gave the Acura a usb-c and an A, and I get that the Acura is supposed to be more upmarket, but this one just doesn't make any sense to me

I think the redsigned 2025 civic will have the same front end design grill. Looks like they got rid of the EX and Touring Trim and replaced with hybrid trim levels.
I was considering buying one of these type Rs locally, but then the dealer in Tampa, FL attempted to rip me off, with a market adjustment attempt of $5K. I laughed in the man's face! That was so funny! I mean, what??????????????? You think I am paying over MSRP, for a Honda? LOL! I then went to an Acura dealer, they wanted $7K over MSRP for an Integra type S. I did the same thing, laughed in his face! These dealership sales people think consumers are idiots! It is they who are the idiots! Let them starve! I bought a RAV4 Hybrid, and am so much happier, and paid less than MSRP. I considered a Supra 3.0, but there were none left. I would have to order one, but could have bought one for less than that Acura Integra type S.
Owning a suv and sedan isn't the same. Sporty vs practical suv with high mpg. This car is supposed to be your fun/weekend car. The hybrid doesn't need premium fuel and it's fuel efficient. I have both and realized it's not cheap to drive the type r 🙃
I was expecting you to laugh off and buy an AMG or some supercar lol. Not a RAV4.

Poor turning radius has always been kind of a thing on performance oriented cars, front or rear drive. Trade-off for fast steering response.
What is that giant white Square in the middle of the grill you can see it through the gril lines...??

2 Tips for any potential Type R buyers: First, the ride quality can be improved by purchasing a Acura Integra Type S damper module for a few hundred bucks. Installation is pretty straight forward. Second, good luck trying to buy a Type R.... 6 months ago dealers were charging a $10k premium. Not as bas now, last time I checked my local dealer was charging a $5K premium.
I purchased one 2 months ago at MSRP in New Hampshire, at the time there were a handful in New England at MSRP. There were some dealers charging 2-3k over and a few who were asking 5k but said they were flexible.

These are oil burner engines from Honda. Absolute garbage Turbo engines.

Folks can spin the "looks" of the FL5 Vs FK8 all they want...the FK8 looks like it runs...the FL5 is an obvious cost cutter...think about it. Look at the 20 inch wheels on the FK8...more expensive...20 in tires...more expensive...the red striping all around on the splitters and diffuser, more expensive...the interior accents, especially in the 2020 up FK8 (i.e. alcantara wrapped steering wheel etc) more expensive. The "wing" on the FK8 was body colored to match...note that it doesn't matter which FL5 color you get...you get the Advanced Automotive bolt-on black generic wing! Ha! The FL5 in fact has a final drive ratio just to compensate for the lack of 20 inch wheels...tone down a Honda Civic Type R? "R" you nutz? The FL5 is cheaper and looks like a 10th gen Accord with a wing from an auto parts store bolted on...but go ahead...it "looks tame" for you 40 somethings that don't want to own the looks of what you just bought! The FK8 was one of a kind...and it owned its looks.

Lol op is a fool. The red pinstripes = expensive? OK tool. The 20" rims were stupid and bad for track, the fl5 rims are bespoke, they're literally custom made rims for the fl5 by honda that no other rim is made like. Literally all the black vents kn the fk8nis fake. The fl5 wing is painted black and it looks better dmbass. Fk8 interior looks like shit and the gauges are old asf. I don't know what your thinking but your a real life dmbass. 😂

@@asiangrafx no I'm with you on this one...I'm replying to initial comment that he states they cost cutting coz they went to 19 inch...I own the FL5, everything that was wrong with the FK8 was addressed with the FL5...it's a level above FK8, even the build quality
