- This isn't a finished layout, but instead, a tour of an old friend. I've not done a great deal on this project for some time but a recent narrow gauge locomotive kit has spurred me on to revisit what was actually a very successful composition. I hope you enjoy this short tour and my reflections on its design and operation - once finished I'll do a proper video! Until then though, you can find more here on the channel and on my blog:

That's a fab little layout. It's not helping my want for a 9mm gauge layout myself, considering I can't not justify it when it's so small!
Glad to have been of help - 009 does work in small spaces if you’re careful with the prototype, use only small 0-4-0 locomotives and short 2 axle stock.
One of my favourites amongst your layouts, good to see it out again. The same format would work in a variety of gauges and scales. A tram museum on 16.5mm would work well, motorised 1/64 Corgis or even Bachmann and Smallbrook Studio On30 trolleys.
Great idea!
That's a super little layout!
Thanks!
This is a great showcase that you don't need a lot of space to enjoy model railroading!
Very true!
Glad to see this little layout is still around. I had wondered what had happened to it.
Yes, as is the majority of my 009 and 006.5 collections.
I haven't watched this channel b4, its great and some good ideas as well, I have hit a wall with my layout and you have given me some food for thought, Thank's, subscribed in a flash.
Hi Alan, thank you, I enjoy the videos but they’re really secondary to the blog, updated daily at paxton-road.blogspot.co.uk
Wow this is a LOT of friday inspiration thank you for this one 😊👍
My pleasure!
Hello,
super nice little layout!
All the best for the finishing line!!!
Thank you, that’s very kind.
It's a great layout, I love it and it just shows how much you can fit in such a small space. I'm planning an 009 inglenook myself and just wondered if you had any recommendations for couplings to allow for easy shunting?
Greenwich - they're great with the magnet tails.
Brilliant👍
Thank you!
SWEET!
Thanks!
Where did you get the kits for the oriestein and koppel locomotives
They are all my own kit designs. The red one is the 'current' version available through Light Railway Stores, currently out of stock but more will be available soon. The green one is the original version, my first kit design. The Jung 0-6-0wt that is sat behind is also available as a kit - and currently available in the EuroNG range, through Light Railway Stores. www.lightrailwaystores.co.uk/collections/euronarrowgauge
