I have an old throw pillow that used to be white but which had become grey through the years. I bought some mild yellow fabric with a diamond pattern to use as a new cover. Everything worked splendidly and I am now the happy owner of a brand-new yellow throw! Thank you!

I just got my first sewing machine and I spent hours looking for the best RUclips channels that could help me learn. Overall, yours has hands down been my favorite! A slip cover for a throw pillow was my first project and it looks so cute in my daughter's room! I could not have asked for a better tutorial. Not only are you a great teacher, but the clean editing and clear visuals make a huge difference. Thank you so much for making these!

Thanks so much for this, Dana. I just made my "first" sewing project in many, many years, and I chose this pillow sham. I really like your idea of having the sham snug against the pillow form, so I used your format for measuring my fabric. I picked up 2 beautiful 20"x20" pillows at Costco (Northern California) for only $16.49, much cheaper than pillow forms at the craft store. The covers turned out great, and now I have washable/changeable pillow shams for the dogs to lay on when chillaxing with us while watching TV!

This was a fantastic how-to video. I am so pleased with how my pillow turned out. I did use a velvet fabric for my piping which was a bit harder to work with than a regular cotton might have been. My zipper foot was also slightly different than what is shown in this video so I had to really manuever the fabric to get a tight stitch against the piping. Overall, very helpful video and very thrilled with my new skill!

When I watch other people trying to teach step by step, I find it a bit difficult to really understand because they are just going all over the place. I love watching your channels because you make it simple and so much easier to understand what to do.

Love making my own pillows. I do the same for bed pillows. I wash them first in the machine, dry them and take the cover off and re make. So easy and only takes me 10 minutes on my overlocker. To make it easier to replace I add an invisible zip that I learned to put in by watching it on Google.

I found some adorable fabric on Etsy but I've never sewn a thing in my life. I think this would be a perfect idea!

Thank you for this easy and fun tutorial that helps such a newbie sewer like me. I just made my pillows and now I will keep making them. So addicting. I never like sewing before but now I am loving it. Any tips on using poly materials for pillows for the sofa. Keep all these fantastic videos coming. Now I will attempt to make and add cording to one of my decorative pillows.

Thank you so much for making this tutorial even though it was years ago.
It was really helpful and making me determined to make my own Fall style envelope pillows.
I bought the fabric, now I'm ready to make an attempt at this.
Hope mine turns out as nice as yours. 🤞😊
