Those who have watched this video may be wondering why taniguchi san can't make it under 2.00 , guys think again, this gtr might have more horsepower than super GT cars. But what about the weight? This gtr has stock chassis instead of fully carbon fibre DTM cockpit used in super GT cars. They are lower, much lighter and more agile. Plus they just use 2.0L 4 cylinder but boosted over 600hp. Advanced aero kits. Super GT cars may lose in straight line but they stick like a glue in corners. So chill. This is just a show. Enjoy

The most underrated thing from this car is its power delivery. Usually from a 1300hp tuner engine you’d expect so much boost lag and stability issues throughout its power band. But this, is just downright amazing. HKS is truly the best tuner company.

I remember buying his car in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 along with Matchless Crowd Racing's R34, Ridox's Supra and West Corvette's C4. I loved the West No. 5 appearance. The black paint, white decals and TE-37s made it look menacing.
Although no one can really comment as we all didn’t sit in the drivers seat, and we don’t know temps, tires or other factors that may have played a role but to me the outlap should have been a bit more lively in heat cycling the tires - the first 1/3 of a lap it was too cold for sure. I would have also cycled the brakes on the outlap more too, you could see the first couple of brake zones there was money left on the table, this would have helped bring the tires in earlier too without sacrificing premature wear by weaving. But we are all armchair racers right! 🏁😁

The pace he was doing on the out lap it was easily 1g. The acceleration out of last corner was necessary for terminal speed into T1 but also lit the tires up. Those traction loss moments were not traction loss but was him driving at the tires' limit. Sepang is very hard on tires by the way. I've been there so many times with Porsche cup car. Half a lap, nice and easy and tires' are good.
El Diablo The entry to T5 is a very technical one. Hard braking downhill, off camber, turning, it is very easy to unsettle the rear of the car. I don't know what set up NOB used, but it looks very natural to me how this corner came at him, his style of attack. The same vehicle dynamic appeared at 4:37 4:47 Also a 4wd GTR is naturally understeery, but this one is set up to have the rear went off a bit power down exiting corners, helping him turn.

Haziqkdm Sti Over-steer is normal for GT-R, Nissan wants more over-steer in GT-R because the car under-steer at turn in, over-steer will shorten the overall turning radius. So if stock GT-R capable of over-steer with 480-545 horsepower in VDC-R, an aftermarket car will power over-steer easily.

halo lim The livery is for sponsors like for ex of monster energy. The aerodynamics creates downforce so the tire can get grip. The rear of the gtr aero purpose is to increase traction so the driver can floor it without tire spin. The front is for increasing handling which it is good. Lastly weight reduction and modification to the engine for horse power. Together, it is able to reduce lap times around the circuit
