@@Necromorbus89 ‘lottery’ isn’t really the right word, since that’s extremely rare.. the point is that most people have this stuff and take it for granted. I want to be a film director. I was immersed in stories since I can remember, was 16 when I decided I want to tell stories (novels, movies, whatever) for living. Now I'm 23 and I have a bachelor's degree in film studies, working on my fourth short film and daydreaming about where I'm going to be in 10 years but man...I am nowhere near where I wanted to be at this age. There are people younger and more talented than me, people who already make their big leap into feature filmmaking while I didn't even got to see America yet (Born in Europe). I work two part time jobs while studying master's degree full time and in my free time I'm writing, editing and watch as many movies analytically as possible. But I still feel like a worthless piece of shit with no future or talent. I feel like this song is speaking right to my soul. I'm happy for having the roof over my head and food to feed myself but...that's not what I want. I want to be remembered when I die for my movies and books. I don't care about money. I care about leaving a message behind. This horrible fear of being forgotten once you die is driving me maybe even more than the love for movies itself

They have another song called “Gone Away” that also carries a Heart-Heavy message. I was very over critical of this band when I was a teenager, but as I’ve grown older, I have come to love their unique sound and appreciate the message in their music no matter what emotion they are putting out there. You also mentioned the lyrics being very heavy, well conveniently enough, Ivan Moody thought the same thing so Five Finger Death Punch covered the song “Gone Away” as well
I am so over FFDP covers at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I actually like the band a lot despite them having a frat boy rock reputation, but their covers irk the shit out of me. The songs they cover aren’t old enough to warrant it, I guess? Like I’d rather just listen to the original because when I was growing up it was new enough to get a lot of radio time, but now stations only play the FFDP version of the song. Specially calling out that god awful Blue on Black cover that just shouldn’t exist, but it applies to a Gone Away cover too. Haven’t heard it, but I really don’t have high hopes.
@Christopher Bingham I love FFDP, they song hit home a lot and I really love their covers! A lot of the time I don't know the originals but I also just like covers in general so it's never an issue for me. Some of their songs aren't quite as impactful but their really emotionally heavy ones get me everytime.
FFDP is such a disappointment (not to be an asshole, but...) They're so technically proficient, but their covers just come off as empty to me. Gone away is a great example- the offsprings original has so much raw emotion, just layers and layers of anger, and hurt, and sadness, regret, just every element of mourning a friend who was gone to suddenly and too soon. But FFDPs version is just one note sad; it doesn't have that pure, almost animalistic, instinctive, rip out your guts, all the feelings all at once heartbreak that the original does.
I had an experience in high school, when I graduated I had a friend of mine come to me and thank me. When I asked why they said that when they called me at like four in the morning some months ago, the conversation we has stopped them from committing suicide. It really opened my eyes. That simple phone call that at the time I thought of as weird saved a life. That's why now I can never not help someone I think needs a shoulder to cry on or an ear to talk to.
I have a list on my phone of priority calls. because I struggle so much with mental health I try to be a lifeline for anyone in need... i try to be there for people because I know what its like... i know those phone calls... not only do I receive them... but i make them. cheers to you for being a good one.

I just want to encourage other people to not make the same mistake I did...check on your friends. Don't put it off. Now...
This song hits pretty hard, I’m 27 years old and between the ages of 18 and 26 I attended 11 of my friends funerals and only 2 weddings, shits backwards af if you ask me, the kids really aren’t alright
I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm in my early 30's and i'm really conflicted about my life since I got out of high school. I never had the rights of passage that most kids had. Like doing crazy crap in their teen years, doing drugs, losing your virginity way before your friends, skating around your neighborhood, pissing off your neighbors, etc. Because of me NOT experiencing those things that are kind of a right of passage in your teens, I have felt angry, betrayed, hateful towards the world, and bored for a very long time. But the people I went to school with that did experience those things in their teens have struggled with drug addiction, std's, getting a girl pregnant by accident, jail time, etc and I feel bad for them. I just wish I could back and do it all over again...to try and change things...get to experience things I didn't get to experience...and hopefully change the way things turned out for myself and other people.
@@Knight_Of_Eleum_Loyce Couldn't have said it better myself and I'm 25. This overwhelming feeling of nostalgia for things you didn't even experience is really something. For example, I listen to punk songs and I'm being nostalgic about skating in some California coastal suburb being chased by angry neighbours and then chilling with my friends drinking beer or hanging out with a girl during the sunset. Even though nothing like that ever happened and I'm actually from Europe... Also that dead inside feeling is really fucked up, when you have no sense of self and no emotions you are like a zombie, just a piece of meat walking through daily life, while everything around you seems chaotic and doesn't make sense. Funny thing is that I don't really care anymore about that either.
@@georgemanize Damn, thank you for sharing that. I can't imagine what growing up as a teen in Europe would be like (but specifically English speaking countries in Europe). I used to know a girl online from England and we talked all the time when I was younger, but sadly we drifted apart and now I can barely remember her name. I'm an American at heart but sometimes I wonder how I would do living in England. I like british culture to some extent and a lot of places in England are gorgeous (I mainly mean the countryside, stuff away from the big cities). I love medieval stuff so it would be awesome to visit some castles in England. But I know that over the last 10+ years England has been dealing with a lot of bs that seems to have made a much less nice place to live in (especially in the big cities like London).
@@Knight_Of_Eleum_Loyce Probably not the right place to start a conversation but here goes. I'm from Greece and growing up here had some similarities with American culture but overall Balkan culture is quite different. As for myself growing up, I always felt like an American at heart because American things shaped up my childhood like movies, video games, music etc. Btw since you mentioned castles, I'm also a big fun of Medieval stuff, I love playing fantasy games and listening to power metal with fantasy inspired lyrics. Btw listening to this kind of music makes me feel nostalgic about watching LotR on the cinema or pulling all nighters playing WoW and drinking energy drinks. I never experienced any of that but damn, I wish I had. Finally, it's funny that you mentioned that you were talking to an English girl online because I was also talking to a Polish girl online. Those attempts back in the day to communicate with women were really something...If I were to read those messages again, I would probably die of cringe. Well, I'm down to find out if the old internet myth about becoming a mage if you reach 30 and are still a virgin is true, so it doesn't really matter.
Man, it was released a few day after I was born, I grew up with this song, I listened to it when my beloved grandma died and I want it to play at my funeral when the time comes. Fucking tragic but otherworldly beautiful masterpiece
This band was epic. Every gen goes through this. This came out in 1998. I was 20 and everything he was singing was happening. The song was surreal, the opioid crisis had started and friends were dying, all the " go to college you'll get a good job" was bull shit, the factories that employed so many people were closing, the recession was sneaking up. Played this song A LOT.
I was 15 when it came out and already thought I felt it. Little did I know of what's coming. Eternal song. The voice everyone hears at least once in their lives no mater the age. Epic.
I only discovered this song in my teenage years when I was 12 in 2010, so felt like I was time teleported to epic times. All our generation got was Kanye :(
@@DildosForChristmas "pop punk" really came out in the 90s. For god sakes Offspring and Green Day had triple platinum albums throughout the entire decade.
“Way Down the Line” from Offspring is another good one, similar. “The kid is never gonna have a dad, same old way Shannon never had, it goes around, yeah, it goes around!”
I love that song but I have a really hard time listening to it. The first time I actually noticed what the lyrics were, I was on the way to my moms funeral back in July..
@@underfan15 the first time I heard it was going to the funeral home for my brother - May 1998. This song & Everlast "What it's Like" - I had to wake up to hear the news. I hear you.

The contrast in this song is amazing. The music is catchy as hell and really energetic (I don't think anyone can keep from bobbing their head), but the lyrics are uncomfortably dark. The first time you hear 4:14 onwards, the song just punches you in the face and tells you to listen the fuck up. It's a brilliant song, and I never get tired of it no matter how often I listen to it.
Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in world. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. Diana Ankudinova is now only 17 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice. Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl: Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. It's absolutely amazing.

Fun fact: Dexter Holland is a rock star AND a scientist! Before making it big, he had a masters in Molecular Biology. After The Offspring's popularity died down he returned to grad school and completed his Ph.D in 2017, with his thesis containing his research on RNA sequencing of HIV.
Americana came out when I was in 5th grade, so Pretty Fly and Why On't You Get a Job are the reasons I became an Offspring fan, from there I sought out more of there music to listen to
@Christopher Bingham they just aren't really representative of them at all. They are the only 4 songs like them that they have, really. That's why I say this.
lol seriously. My favorite album is "Ixnay on the Hombre" personally. "All I Want" and "Meaning of Life" are perfect introductory tracks in my opinion👍
The Offspring has great lyrics, and many of those are not so popular, songs like "Not The One", "No Hero", "Way down the line", "Something to believe in", "Have you ever" and many others, what a great band!
This, Gone away, Million Miles Away and Staring at the Sun are personal favourites of mine, ones I listened to a lot growing up, definitely recommend anything Offspring, great band!
I'm old. I've seen Offspring many times live. This song makes me cry...as soon as the harmony kicks in, bring on the water works. Your reaction was spot on.💓
The Offspring was amazing. The music & message are complete juxtapositions, if you just listen to the music & the arrangements you think it's a straight banger but if you listen to the lyrics it is darker & deeper than you would ever expect.
The Offspring is my all time favorite band, it’s the first band I “discovered” for myself and they have a very special place in my heart. I’m glad you have finally found them. It’s kinda cool they have grown as a band as I’ve grown up and I understand their lyrics more now as an adult then before when I was just jamming out to the music as a kid. Love these guys and appreciate your uplifting and inciting words. Keep it up man!!
Diana Ankudinova is a young performer who shocks us with her pleasant voice and takes us into the abyss of events!!! Diana Ankudinova is unique and inimitable, goosebumps from her voice! Diana sings as if she lives in the song! The soul freezes or opens with Diana's voice. I am a musician who has been with music for years, and believe me, I have not heard such a tone in all these past years.
Life is hard. I just have an expirience with that now. Yes, when I was young and listened to Linkin Park, the Offspring, Limp Biszkit and was with my friends, we all thought that Life will be perfect and that we will all have great jobs and big families and all of luck we could possibly have. And then the dad of my best friend died from cancer, when my best friend was just 18 and when I by myself had plans to move out from home and get a job and start my own life, my mother had an accident and ended up in a wheelchair. This year she went to hospital just two days before her birthday and when she was recovered really well she got ill and died on the 4th of december. She wanted to be home on christmas and I had so many plans for the future. I wanted to visit rome with her, as soon as it is possible because she loved rome . And now she is just gone and I don`t really understand why now and why like this.
Stay strong brother. When life hits you it hits damn hard. May the memories you made with your mother never fade away. Things will never be the same again but it will get better. I promise.
Be strong bro....life kicks you in the balls sometimes...lord knows I've dealt with it...i suffer from depression because of it. ..but I somehow I just keep on keeping on...im so sorry for your loss...much love, respect and prayers for you!
The offspring was my go to back in high school in the late 90s. Do you want a song that is energetic but has a sad message behind it? Gone Away. As for “the big ones” for this band, self-esteem and come out and play are probably their 2 big early tunes
My buddy of 25 years Brantley passed away a couple years ago from an overdose. I miss him everyday. Our last show we saw together and last song we heard together was the Styx “come sail way” . Makes me tear up everytime when he sings “I think of childhood friends, and the dreams we had” R.I.P BK
Yeh this song kind of sums up being a teenager and The Offspring was very much a big part of my teenage years. Being that carefree teenager, hanging out with mates, just looking forward to the weekend, got that 'whole life ahead of me to do whatever I want' vibe. It's all good, we're all gonna be around forever. Then you get older, people go different ways, some people get left behind, some go down dark paths......some people really do go on to do great things but I can really relate to this song in the sense that at the end of my teens I developed agoraphobia and became crippled by anxiety, I spent 5 yrs unable to leave the house and to this day, 17 years later just going to the shops or getting to work is a massive task. I could basically split my life between the before and after. If teenage me that was having the time of my life living for alt rock, punk and hanging out on the weekend playing sport or just catching up with mates met the me now I doubt they could ever believe we're the same person.
The Offspring and Children of Bodom are my two favorite bands and you've reacted to both!! My best friend and keyboardist in my band killed himself shortly after we graduated high school...he was the reason I got into metal and Bodom made me fall in love with the genre. RIP to Alexi Laiho and to my friend Jeff
This song always brings my cousin to mind. I remember how proud and hopeful my aunt and uncle were of his future and how he was such an intelligent young man. Without getting into details ended up being shot and killed by the cops. It was such a shock to hear and just absolutely tragic. I just remember thinking how crazy and surreal it was, like that stuff happens in movies and such, not real life!
My cousin was very into music and loved all different genres, but being 90's kids we both really enjoyed this type of rock. He was a seasonal worker when he met his girlfriend and decided to move to Australia to be with her, but they broke up not long after he arrived. He then unexpectedly showed back up in the US, without notice, about a week before Thanksgiving wanting to hangout. Excited to see my best friend for the holiday, I took him out to dinner and we had a good time. We drove around talking about everything and nothing while listening to our favorite songs. The day before Thanksgiving he went missing and all that was left to be found was an SD card. My family not being tech savvy in the least asked me to find out what was on it. It was his suicide note. I had to break the news to his dad and my family. His body was found a few days later. This was one of the last songs we ever listened to together.
Awww I’ve loved this song since I was a kid and I never truly listened and knew what this was about. I’ve always just thought it was a happy song. I heard it from the movie The Faculty. But now... wow. So depressing and honestly makes me have so much more love and respect for it.
I'm german and was 13 yo when this came out and i learned from that song, that life was not necessarily everywhere as easy as mine, living in an above-median-income family in a quiet, peaceful suburbian part of a central-european city. It also kinda kickstarted my critical view on society. A real eye opener!
There’ll be periods where I don’t see your videos pop up but whenever I watch I never regret it man happy holidays to you and thanks for doing what you do
When I was 14, my mom killed herself....that was over 20 years ago and it still hurts just as much as the day it happened....worst day of my life, and I would give anything to spend just another day with her....this song has always had a special place in my heart and I just live life always feeling like I'm missing a part of me....anyways....thanks Alex....you are awesome!
For decades I thought I already knew this song, but it took Alex for me to really know it! Wow At 55 years olds with a family of my own, I have see everything in this song.
Alex, you couldn't be more right with what you said! Live every day like it's your last! I love that band and never really listened to the lyrics. About 13 years ago I was in an accident that changed my life forever and now I live life to the fullest.
I loved watching you enjoying one of my all time favourite songs, growing up The Offspring helped me through the shitshow that is life! Instant subscribe, I loved this video dude
I love your little rant in there bro, I always say to people, if you wake up and have a roof over your head and if you txt 5 people you love and care about, and they txt back and they’re alive and well, what a glorious day it is!! Happy new year everyone! Be happy Be kind Be love
Alex, that comment about winning the lottery is savagely on point. That hits home hard for me and probably for a few others. Not many get the chance to leave the shit behind and gain a life worth living. Solid reaction man.
I can't imagine anyone having anything negative to say in your comments. I'm an old metal head who listens to pretty much anything if its good, and I LOVE seeing people branching out of their comfort zone into things that I've been into for years. You got a good head on your shoulders, and you really listen to what's going on in these songs. I appreciate that a lot
This is a treat to watch you experiencing these guys for the first time and loving it. Americana was the first physical album I ever owned as a kid (someone left their CD in the CD drive on a school computer and I found it) and to this day The Offspring remains one of the few bands who have multiple albums that I enjoy every single song on. I remember listening to this stuff on loop for hours when I was playing video games as a kid. It's hard to pick a favorite honestly. I love pretty much everything from their 90s albums, it just depends on mood.
"You gotta keep 'em separated" this is the name of a song I have trouble believing you haven't heard. "Gone away" is also a good song they did which by the way has also been covered by 5 Finger Death Punch. Offspring or The Offspring depending on where you live has always kind of had the style of "happy" up beat music with a dark meaning or just playin silly like "pretty fly (for a white guy)" but a very fun band to crush albums with just because they do so many different things albums by album. The song "self esteem" was one of the first songs I ever heard and it's worth your time to do a reaction to. you need to dig deep into this rabbit hole you won't be disappointed..
Even Pretty Fly is a rough and dark. It's a song about someone trying desperately to fit in, and just absolutely failing at even understanding what would make them fit in.
Oh lordie!! I’ve waited so long for you to review this!!! You should check out Scottish band Biffy Clyro Black chandelier, victory over the sun, stinging Bell
Alex I just wanted to say that I freakin love the positivity that you bring to each video. I already loved your channel for your reactions but I gotta say it's the positive vibes that you spread each day that keeps me coming back. Thank you for that. In a time when everything is in such disarray its nice to know that there are still people out there that care enough to make this world a better place.

♥♥♥
I have a list on my phone of priority calls. because I struggle so much with mental health I try to be a lifeline for anyone in need... i try to be there for people because I know what its like... i know those phone calls... not only do I receive them... but i make them. cheers to you for being a good one.
When things were at their very worst:
2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy.

After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way.

That's great that you were there for your friend. I had a good friend from my old unit reach out to me and tell me he missed me and I told him we needed to connect. He killed himself a week later. I just want to encourage other people to not make the same mistake I did...check on your friends. Don't put it off. Now...
Just goes to show, the small things matter. Sometimes more than the big ones.
I'm 33. And I've been to two of my friends funerals.. . Thats too many
“Gone Away” by the Offspring is one of their most tragic songs and means so much to me growing up. Reminds me of so many people I lost along the way.
Listened to this daily when it first came out, was relevant then, sadly it seems even more relevant now.
IS epic*
I was 15 when it came out and already thought I felt it. Little did I know of what's coming. Eternal song. The voice everyone hears at least once in their lives no mater the age. Epic.
I only discovered this song in my teenage years when I was 12 in 2010, so felt like I was time teleported to epic times. All our generation got was Kanye :(
You should look at offspring self esteem
Yup. My fav by them for sure
@@lisandroxiii5031 Or Come Out And Play, if we're talking Smash.
The Rock am Ring 2008 live version is so good!
No
@@kristoferdahlstrom2137 yeah. Love that one too. It's better instrumentaly but I just love more Self Esteem
That's why I love punk rock. The energy of anger, hope, defiance and despair all rolled into one.
"It's got that 2000's type sound" Alex must think they're a new band lol. This song dropped in 98'
But that was around the start of that whole sound, just before it blew up in the early 00s
@@DildosForChristmas Offspring has had basically the same sound since 1988 tho.
@@DildosForChristmas "pop punk" really came out in the 90s. For god sakes Offspring and Green Day had triple platinum albums throughout the entire decade.
@@majurbludd yeah but the actual sound we know as pop punk became super mainstream as a whole from like '99 onwards
@@DildosForChristmas Well earlier
“Way Down the Line” from Offspring is another good one, similar. “The kid is never gonna have a dad, same old way Shannon never had, it goes around, yeah, it goes around!”
Gone away by this band is is really interesting. I highly recommend it.
I love that song but I have a really hard time listening to it. The first time I actually noticed what the lyrics were, I was on the way to my moms funeral back in July..
Possibly my favourite Offspring song.
I second this!
Gone Away and Amazed off that album are two songs I still go back to all these years later.
@@underfan15 the first time I heard it was going to the funeral home for my brother - May 1998. This song & Everlast "What it's Like" - I had to wake up to hear the news. I hear you.
Their album "Smash" means the world to me. It was the perfect collection of songs for my life at that moment.
Uou need to listen to the offsprings your gonna go far kid
I definitely say yes to this one! One of my favorite of theirs!
Didn’t he already do that?
@@gryphon0468 he said during the video this was the first he’d done from this band I do believe
@@KryDragonFyre I must be thinking of a different reactor lol
my suggestion as well
My daughter died suddenly 9/2019 at the age of 21 from asthma. Life was just going along and then bam, it will NEVER be the same again. You always make plans and put things off and let stupid stuff get in the way, but in the end you beg for just a few more minutes...
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine how hard it has been for you. Sending hugs and love your way.
“Self Esteem”will blow you away.. still to this day an automatic pump up song for me...yet with the contrasting and well written lyrics.
Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl:
Really really exceptional! Alive is another great song by P. O.D
HELL YES!!!
Wait he didn’t already do a reaction to that? Damn
school of hard knocks it is. not that pop song
Actually just Saw Offspring with Simple Plan! Glad you like it too!!
oh shitttttt...... just discovering The Offspring!? This band is high energy greatness.
Thank god his first Offspring reaction wasn't Pretty Fly, Why Don't You Get a Job, Original Prankster or Hit That, lol
All part of the experience, but yeah, probably not a great first impression lol
Americana came out when I was in 5th grade, so Pretty Fly and Why On't You Get a Job are the reasons I became an Offspring fan, from there I sought out more of there music to listen to
Absolutely!
İt would be interesting seeing him listen to Dirty magic as well!
This song means so much to me. The album came out around my senior year. I was going through quite a bit and it just hit home for me.
yes more offspring. great band I listened to back in the day. still do to.
The Offspring has great lyrics, and many of those are not so popular, songs like "Not The One", "No Hero", "Way down the line", "Something to believe in", "Have you ever" and many others, what a great band!
Offspring: Staring at the Sun
Check it out man. One of my favs.
I was just about to suggest this
No Have You Ever and Staring At The Sun they flow together perfectly and he's knocking out 2 birds with one stone
This, Gone away, Million Miles Away and Staring at the Sun are personal favourites of mine, ones I listened to a lot growing up, definitely recommend anything Offspring, great band!
Please try next this:
The Offspring - "Self Esteem"
yep
Yeah! Or genocide!
No better. Just listen SMASH this album is a piece of art!
In glatonbury !!!
best performance!!!
Gone Away. Definitely a must listen two of their songs. In my opinion they're most powerful song.
One of the best bands out of the 90s!
Self esteem
Gone away
You’re gonna go far kid
Pretty fly for a white guy
Gotta get away
And don't forget bad habit all I want the meaning of life and come out and play
I'm old. I've seen Offspring many times live. This song makes me cry...as soon as the harmony kicks in, bring on the water works. Your reaction was spot on.💓
Do "Defy you" or "Gone Away". Their best songs for me.
Gone away is awesome
Half truism, one fine day, come out swinging, coming for you, are also pretty kick ass.
Great songs! Gone Away hard for me to listen to for obvious reasons.
Defy you is so damn good
I agree with everyone who has commented here so far, all these songs are good
The Offspring was amazing. The music & message are complete juxtapositions, if you just listen to the music & the arrangements you think it's a straight banger but if you listen to the lyrics it is darker & deeper than you would ever expect.
Next reaction of the offspring :
Youre gonna go far kid
Self esteem
Want you back
Cant repeat
Come out and play
And that one what says "what happened to you"
@Christopher Bingham It's not that serious, maybe like.... chill
Same here!
DIANA ANKUDINOVA SUPER TALENTED YOUNG SINGER🎤💥 🌷🌷🌷
So glad you hit this one up. In hindsight Offspring seems right up your alley.
Self Esteem and Come out and play by the offspring is a must
Go down the Offspring rabbit hole!!!! Love them, that’s my favorite song from them!!! Nice start.
Defined my teen years! Gone Away, Self Esteem, Come Out & Play, Defy You, Bad Habit, All I Want & Meaning of Life are critical listening.
All I Want !
I promise.
@@Stagonas thank you For your Kind words. I try my best. Keep Safe and healthy in this crazy Times.
You should listen to "Your gonna go far kid" by The Offspring.
Finally!!! I love this song!!! The Offspring is awesome! They got me off rave music.
POD Youth Of The Nation!
WE ARE WE AREEE
@@CragusMaximus THE YOUTH OF THE NATION
If teenage me that was having the time of my life living for alt rock, punk and hanging out on the weekend playing sport or just catching up with mates met the me now I doubt they could ever believe we're the same person.
more The Offspring please! >w<
"All I Want" or "Meaning of Life" by The Offspring.
Perfect starter tracks in my opinion. Also "Gone Away" after those two👍
This song always brings my cousin to mind.
Another fun sounding Offspring song is "Why don't you get a job"
No
The video is hilarious!!!! In fact, Alex reminds me of the guy from 'Pretty Fly for A White Guy'.
Criminally underrated band, The Offspring has always been
The offspring are awesome live
Man this brings me back. This was kind of after they’d peaked but was a cool tune. Keep ‘Em Separated, Self Esteem, Gotta Get Away...
Now you need to go listen to Come Out and Play by them....banger of a song, even if it is not any cheerier (it's about teen violence)
"start your day off positive guys!"
me: listens to the lyrics of this song. "i think i'll just go back to bed.
More offspring please sir!
They're so simple, but yet so good!!
"Come out and play" good track
Awww I’ve loved this song since I was a kid and I never truly listened and knew what this was about. I’ve always just thought it was a happy song. I heard it from the movie The Faculty. But now... wow. So depressing and honestly makes me have so much more love and respect for it.
Check out "Bad Habit", you will love it.
If you want to check another band, try "Sonata Arctica" and their songs "Blank File" and "Fullmoon"!
Bad habit is badassed
I'm german and was 13 yo when this came out and i learned from that song, that life was not necessarily everywhere as easy as mine, living in an above-median-income family in a quiet, peaceful suburbian part of a central-european city. It also kinda kickstarted my critical view on society. A real eye opener!
"Cruelest dream, reality"
Man, this is the song from which everything started!!! I love this song and I will forever!!
Please react to theirs other songs: "Can't repeat", "Self-esteem", "Gonna go far, kid" and "Coming for You".
Proper nostalgic vibes for me here. Played the drums on this track at the school talent show like 20 years ago. Ps our band won 😎
"Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)"
go ahead
There’ll be periods where I don’t see your videos pop up but whenever I watch I never regret it man happy holidays to you and thanks for doing what you do
When I was 14, my mom killed herself....that was over 20 years ago and it still hurts just as much as the day it happened....worst day of my life, and I would give anything to spend just another day with her....this song has always had a special place in my heart and I just live life always feeling like I'm missing a part of me....anyways....thanks Alex....you are awesome!

I'm having a hard time believing that you've never heard this song before! By the way I've been watching your reactions for years!
Alex, that comment about winning the lottery is savagely on point. That hits home hard for me and probably for a few others. Not many get the chance to leave the shit behind and gain a life worth living. Solid reaction man.
More offspring please!! 🤘😆
The Offspring - "Self Esteem"
the offspring - pretty fly
This is a treat to watch you experiencing these guys for the first time and loving it. Americana was the first physical album I ever owned as a kid (someone left their CD in the CD drive on a school computer and I found it) and to this day The Offspring remains one of the few bands who have multiple albums that I enjoy every single song on. I remember listening to this stuff on loop for hours when I was playing video games as a kid. It's hard to pick a favorite honestly. I love pretty much everything from their 90s albums, it just depends on mood.
"You gotta keep 'em separated"
this is the name of a song I have trouble believing you haven't heard.
Dude I love the offspring and have since way back. Their way of delivering a message without pushing it on you is the best.
Oh lordie!! I’ve waited so long for you to review this!!! You should check out Scottish band Biffy Clyro Black chandelier, victory over the sun, stinging Bell
The Captain, Living Is A Problem as well
Alex I just wanted to say that I freakin love the positivity that you bring to each video. I already loved your channel for your reactions but I gotta say it's the positive vibes that you spread each day that keeps me coming back. Thank you for that. In a time when everything is in such disarray its nice to know that there are still people out there that care enough to make this world a better place.
If you like Offspring, check out “Gone Away” and follow it up with Five Finger Death Punch’s cover of that song.
Dude, you cant go wrong with Offspring, they are always fun to listen to, and music always gets you pumped.
