On the good side - Blink is one of my favorite bands and I'm 63 years old. My love of punk started with The Ramones in the 70s. On the bad side - this is a 13 minute video that had 4 commercials throughout the video.
travis barker has made such an impact in producing and drumming collabs that he has made his own genre. he is so talented that you can hear when he has been involved in a song
im 40 now. grew up listening to blink 182. those days of going to the music store, grabbing their latest album, listen to it for a week and then jam every song from first to the end...we would chip in 8 dollars among the 3 of us each to book the room for 2 hours because the studio cost about 12 bucks an hour. stinking mic and occasional people peering into the studio while we jam was the norm. Enema Strikes Back was brutal because it was Track 1 to 20 non stop and we even mimick all the antics in between at the studio for 2 hours. i am so glad i got the experience that era growing up
Honestly what made Blink-182 so good maybe for most here in Europe is being teenagers who didnt knew english yet we couldnt really understand the lyrics and if you take it only for the music side of this band, they're pretty amazing, the mixes of emotions if you just imagine a scenario going thru ; I Miss You o All the Small Things, Adam Song etc.. all different but if you dont pay attention and don't understand the lyrics, you can just lost yourself in the emotion of the song & for me that's what great music is, regardless of the lyric or instrumental bringing clever topics, if it can transcend you to a place of pure emotion, nostalgia or euphoria, job is done 1000%. Big shout out to Blink-182, hearing their songs again for sure makes me nostalgic & appreciate the fact that i couldnt understand the lyrics back then & so focus solely on their creativity & not so much the "angsty" side of the lyrics. Lovely
Blink helped me escape/express myself when I thought my world was falling apart. Self expression to so many levels. Thank you Blink-182 for everything you did and thank you for coming back together to make new memories for so many more people to hear and experience.
Blink 182 is and will forever be the best. Saw them in Incinitas when they started, saw them at Shoreline, saw them at SAP. Best band of all time. The voices are so unique and barker by far is one of the best drummers of all time. My kids agree. Congrats boys. Glad the band is back together
Every time one of these kids say how their "mom loves this song" or their "dad played this for them" I can just see the mental daggers plunging into their hearts. Lol. As somebody who grew up with Blink-182, you guys are timeless!

You have NO IDEA how many times I cried about love listening to "I miss you". And, given a chance, I still do.
Same, love that song, it’s beautiful.👍🥹
The Reading festival version is insanely good. I watch it everyday. Also, I well up when I drum along to it. Let every emotion on the kit free. It's cathartic. Beautiful song.
Cringe
@@shawgale4178 your mother didn't think so
That song was surpise to me the words tho to that song deep
Teen: “This is like early punk.”
The Ramones: “Am I a joke to you?”
Aerosmith: 😧

As much as I love Matt Skiba, I will forever miss Tom with them.
I'm in my 40's and have been a Blink fan since the mid/late 90's. I absolutely love that they indeed have spanned across generations ♥️
Mark looks like a dad with a straight A kid and Travis looks like a inmate fresh out of prison lmao
Truth
Mark was always my crush 😻
Mark is a beautiful man.
I kinda think mark looks like Johnny knoxville
Mark looks like a nerd
“The 90s took the world by storm” - that is a kid wise beyond his years !
Looking back, it really was a hell of a time to grow up! Sort of on the edge between old school era and digital tech age
Best years!!
As did the 80's... And 70's.. and 60's... Every decade seems entirely influential
@@miked5201 The 2020's are off to a roaring start 😏
@@marksobo2001 😂 Surely never forgotten
I've never heard Blink-182 described as "angsty" so much
I've never even heard of "angsty"
I'm just glad these kids know and seem to appreciate for the most part Blink. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time.
Travis didn't even flinch when someone mentioned how good the drums were. He's a freaking legend!
You can tell they're proud of their work. And they should be.
Mark: 😃
Travis: 😐

Born 1989 and grew up listening to them!! Amazing music and still listen to their music today!!
ok, I'm 23 and these songs were everything for me when i was a teenager. blink its still one of my fav bands.
Yes But nobody likes you when you're 23
The title of this video should just be “Mark and Travis feeling old for 13 minutes straight”
And all of us tho
Yes! I was thinking the same thing!! Too bad it made me feel old too though 😥
On the good side - Blink is one of my favorite bands and I'm 63 years old. My love of punk started with The Ramones in the 70s. On the bad side - this is a 13 minute video that had 4 commercials throughout the video.
I was a kid listening to Blink. My wife tells me What's My Age Again is my theme song. Now my kids love them. Awesome concerts. Thank you guys!
I remember that era , early high school rocking out blink 182, yellowcard , greenday , simple plan , sum 41 , zebrahead, SOAD ,etc... good memories ..
Srt4 Milo the best!!
And i thought that time sucked. Today is soooo worse
travis barker has made such an impact in producing and drumming collabs that he has made his own genre. he is so talented that you can hear when he has been involved in a song
They still edited out 90% of that chicks "angst"
Thank goodness
im 40 now. grew up listening to blink 182. those days of going to the music store, grabbing their latest album, listen to it for a week and then jam every song from first to the end...we would chip in 8 dollars among the 3 of us each to book the room for 2 hours because the studio cost about 12 bucks an hour. stinking mic and occasional people peering into the studio while we jam was the norm.
Enema Strikes Back was brutal because it was Track 1 to 20 non stop and we even mimick all the antics in between at the studio for 2 hours.
i am so glad i got the experience that era growing up
What’s with that “angsty” chick?’ Blink weren’t angsty, at least not with the attitude she implied, they were/are fun & funny!
She knew one word and ran with it.
@@NemFX bruh im dead
She either has no idea what it means or her idea of angsty songs is totally off lol

Kids are f*ing dumb. Our education system is an embarrassment. .
All of us in our 30s feeling old as time!
Yeah man 🤣🤘
You said it 😆
Yes. 33 never felt so old!
Here I am as a 16 year old blink fan while other people listen to rap and it upsets me. Nobody likes blink at my age and that upsets me :(
Yup bro
I’m instantly transported back to high school as soon as I hear “hello there, angel from my nightmare”. Still one of my all time faves.
Lovely
Didn't feel old till he said, "songs we wrote 20 years ago." Damn. 😧
Blink helped me escape/express myself when I thought my world was falling apart. Self expression to so many levels. Thank you Blink-182 for everything you did and thank you for coming back together to make new memories for so many more people to hear and experience.
“So angsty...” you keep using this word, I do not think it means what you think it means...
I was literally going to say that 😆❤
Yes, I was looking for this comment!
Someone wanted to kick the ass out of her 'word of the day' toilet paper! 😏
Who are you?... I must know!
@@joepoole1031 get used to disappointment.
My GenX heart is so happy to see teens knowing the words to Blink songs
It’s so weird seeing Travis talking he rarely talks
"Panic at the disco has a blink vibe" YES MARK TELL EM!!!
Thank you, Travis, for calling them out for not knowing the parodies.
Great video. Love blink.
Blink 182 is and will forever be the best. Saw them in Incinitas when they started, saw them at Shoreline, saw them at SAP. Best band of all time. The voices are so unique and barker by far is one of the best drummers of all time. My kids agree. Congrats boys. Glad the band is back together
Green Day and Blink 182 are the more famous pop punk bands, Sum41 and Good Charlotte are the 2 lesser known pop punk bands
I think this is the first time I’ve heard Travis talk
Go watch Joe Rogan interview him 👌
You never saw his show on MTV about his family life
teenager: “the drums are great”
me: “IT’s LITERALLY TRAVIS” 😅😅😅
I Know! He's God!
Follow and support Alabama Barker.
Every time one of these kids say how their "mom loves this song" or their "dad played this for them" I can just see the mental daggers plunging into their hearts. Lol. As somebody who grew up with Blink-182, you guys are timeless!
