Jaxon's utter refusal to believe that Lucas hasn't heard of Green Day is glorious
and as a 90s kid my reaction was the same 😀😀
I don't even like green day tbh but not having heard of them is really unbelievable to me...
Well considering Lucas was born in 2008, he grew up in the 2010s where Green Day wasn’t as well known as it was in the 90s and early/mid 2000s. I’m pretty sure there were artists before when I was born in 1996 that I haven’t heard of before. I haven’t heard of Peter Frampton until a year or two ago until my dad told me about them. I don’t know a single song by Devo or Dire Straits. I also don’t think that Lucas had that exposure of having someone else getting him into pop culture of the generation before he was born like Jaxon did.
@@dylanalexander4393 yeah. The kid just wanted to show off his Green Day cred (is that a thing?) Everyone has to experience something for the first time at some point in their life.
Why does dude over sing every song
“Backstreet Boys!”
“Ooh, that was a good guess!”
Producer: “NO IT’S NOT!!”
the producer is all of us
Beaststreet Boys: "Quit sabotaging my heart"
Ah yes, The Beetles and Beethoven, my favourite 90's rap trios 😊
Jaxon getting SO MAD that Lucas doesn't know Green Day at the end is HILARIOUS 😂
Jaxon explaining Green Day to Lucas is hilarious.
Where
@@bababoi2500 In the intro and outro of the vid.
Please always put Jaxon and Lucas together. Just so Jaxon can school him.
Yes. Send Lucas to 90s Music School
@@michaelewing6522 Nah send him home
Next time offspring is featured, there needs to be some other song than better fly for a white guy or why don't you get a job.
Lucas is so negative.
@@markcastellanet9672 fr right. Bad habit a good one
Dude in the gray sweatshirt and the dude in the green/black were on it. The rest makes me weep for humanity.
omg its just songs lol
My eye started twitching when they said "is this high school musical" about Ironic by Alanis Morissette.
really sad... at least to me. Of course, I STILL haven't seen HSM.
Jaxon's a great kid. Like seriously. His parents should be hella proud.
Seriously. That kid is awesome and gives me some faith in the youth
And his frustration with Lucas not knowing Green Day cracks me up, especially when I remember so many of the adults and elders feeling that way about him at times.
This is such a contrast from a few weeks ago, where Jaxon was deemed a terrible kid & one of worst of his generation because he wasn’t a big fan of Slipknot. But it seems he has now officially redeemed himself, proving that he is a fan of rock and metal, just not “heavy” metal (yet)
God Bless Alanis Morissette 🙏🏻🎵
God Bless President Trump🙏🏻🇺🇸
What are you on about Jaxon is horrible second only to Lucas...
Jaxon getting frustrated by Lucas not knowing Green Day is me with my nephews... except I'm 37.
I am a little younger, 26 but I feel exactly the same way with my little niece and nephew. When I told them last summer I was going to see Green Day live they looked at me like "Green who?", it's a sad thing haha .. And I have to say they do know rock bands, just a couple days ago I put on an 80's playlist and they where singing along to AC/DC. So, there is hope haha ☺️
Same, especially with foo fighters they still release stuff till this day.
Jaxon is my new favorite reactor.
That's a verse in El Scorcho, from Weezer, right? "I asked you to go to the Green Day concert / you said you never heard of them (how cool is that)".
The kid in green & black knows it and can sing! Gotta love him!!
I love how outraged the interviewer was when she confused Backstreet Boys and the Bestie Boys. No they're not!
There was legit offence in his tone XD
Pairing Lucas and Jaxon together is one of the best things I've ever seen. Jaxon's complete outrage that Lucas had no idea who Green Day was is relatable.
tbh my reaction would also be like jaxon lmaooo 💀
I love that I’ve been watching this channel long enough to see Jaxon go from a kid to now where he’s evolved to about 70% Dad vibes. Love it.
And he's only 20 years old!
"Oh that's a good guess!"
"NO IT'S NOT!"
I'm upset they didn't give some background info for Zombie...it's such an important message for any generation. Even the more recent (and utterly phenomenal) Bad Wolf cover that Dolores was supposed to be a part of before she passed.
Nah that era is over long long time ago. Its like explaining sonnet to a whole different generation.
Now what people care to listen is song about getting driving license and bawling over their crush while driving around alone.
@@dhanangyou sound like a moron
The way they talked about Everlong ... my god, it crushed my entire soul and I briefly felt so much rage lmao
Lucas and the girl in the brown hoodie need to expand their musical horizons. The Cranberries' Zombie was a powerful protest song in response to The Troubles and the IRA bombings up in Northern Ireland. It's a timeless, iconic song depicting and drawing attention to the horrors of war and conflict.
Or, they can like what they like.
In terms of The Cranberries, they didn’t dive into the details of “Zombie”. That shouldn’t be on the fault of the Reactors.
This is all relative and subjective. I'm sure people from around the world would (including marginalized communities in your own country) would claim that YOU would need to "expand your musical horizons" for only being familiar with your specific exposure and knowledge. And yet, here we are, critiquing a 15 year old for knowing what she knows at her young age. Give her a break.
Also: How are you so sure the OTHER teens are familiar with the song and its meaning (they may not be and may just shallowly know the tune). Why are you specifically focusing on Angel? 🤔🤔
@@marmar90000 Commenter mentioned 2 reactors. So why are YOU specifically focusing on Angel?
@@FYMMF Because she, out of all the teens, has been getting the most hate out of everyone.
The kid that likes older music gets my full respect for knowing what good music is
The kid in green & black is the only one I’m not 100% disappointed in.
Absolutely. Grey sweater kid is second best.
Ok for real that one girl was so negative about almost every song she was legit making me angry by the end of it
She's like that in EVERY episode. I am sure they put her with Paulina to balance it out.
@@krylesangerbeaver it didn’t work very well if that’s the case.
True! It piss me off every time she is on screen. She is so disrespectful.
Typical black girl livin in a bubble.
@@deevilishbeeauty9850 exactly! Like, it’s fine if you don’t like something but even hee body movement is just so nasty about everything. Didn’t anyone teach her tact??
I die a little everday realizing the best generation of music is largely unknown by this generation, despite the fact the internet exists.
To put this in perspective. They called the wigger in The Offspring video Eminem. It's crazy. They're missing out
I think part of the problem is that music tends to be generational. Every generation believes their music was the best, and when that generation grows up their nostalgia for their music makes it difficult to understand why the younger generations don't know it, or love it, or sometimes don't even like it. When we become adults we often forget what it's like to be a teenager and we begin to behave like our parents and grandparents did to us - "You don't know Frank Sinatra?? What is wrong with you kids today!"
that's what your grandparents might have thought as well
I don't think Gen Z should make fun of Gen X band names when they are out here listening to NBA Youngboy and Machine Gun Kelly.
and Lil Turd and Lil foot X lol
The Offspring starts. Girl is "that's Eminem!" 🤣
Growing up in the 90's I knew so many songs from the 80's, 70's and 60's as a kid. It is so weird that they have so much more access to music but stick to the new stuff.
So many old songs have so much meaning behind them.
As someone who grew up in the 2000s I find it weird too. I love old music. We have the means to listen to any kind of music from any era and that’s so cool. It’s just not utilised by many people my age.
i was born in 2005 and listen to almost only 80s except for coldplay
Ikr? when i was growing up, mtv had reruns of 90s music ALL THE TIME (local MTV is half a year younger than me), with some of these mvs being older than the channel itself. though, to be fair, I'm sure some of the people from our generation was just as stubborn in that regard, despite having access to mtv and musical radio stations
As someone born right on the cusp of Gen X/Millennials ('82)...
There were always kids even back then who only listened to chart music and paid no attention to stuff from past decades.
well they’re pretty young they might not listen to music as much theres a lot to do as a teen these days
There's a certain lack of Grunge in here. You can't do 90s without Nirvana and Soundgarden
Aawh Chris 😭
YEAH omg that's what i was thinking as well
Or Alice In Chains
@@ligmaballs2022 You said it!
You can and he did. 🤣
“Hey kiddos, here are 3 bands from Seattle that were huge in the 90s. Two of the lead singers committed suicide and one basically did the same by not getting off heroin no matter how many people tried to help him get sober for years! And then there’s Pearl Jam who are still around for some reason.”
“THAT’S A GOOD GUESS!”
“NO, IT’S NOT!”
😂😂😂
I think what would blow those kids minds is that fact that The Beastie Boys, Sabotage video is a parody of 1970's cop shows.
Jaxon being the “old man” in this video was absolutely hilarious! 😱😂🤪
My mom raised me on beastie boys, green day, and foo fighters. I’m kinda disappointed in my generation. Jaxon knows his stuff, props to him
I'm 58 and I still burst into tears when the chorus his. RIP Dolores, you are missed.
The BEST part:
"That's a good guess"
"NO IT'S NOT!" 😂
Dani actually really surprised me when he actually knew most of these songs! I'm actually proud of him!
He has done musicals and he also sings in real life. Most people who are involved in theatre and are musicians they usually have a fairly good knowledge about music
@@afrarehman760 Yeah, true that! And wow, that's cool that he has done musicals before! And that's really cool that he really is a singer!
Jaxon getting so mad about Green Day was awesome.
Every time Faith No More gets confused with Red Hot Chili Peppers Mike Patton's eyes start twitching.
That one guy that sings to all the songs....he knows lots of them. The tall guy is all about older music...I love him.
"back street boys'
"Wrong"
"Ooh good guess"
"NO ITS NOT"
"Do you know a 90s rap group that consisted of 3 white boys ?"
"THE BEATLES!"
guys..i'm done here
She did not tell him to listen cardi B instead of Faith No More. Plese tell me she did not tell just that! May ctuthulu have mercy of her soul.
The kid in the black and green shirt is going places.
It makes me happy that a lot of them knew zombie by the cranberries. I agree with the one girl that song is extremely emotional and I often will shed a tear while listening. It bothered me how the other girl dismissed her statement with that "what do you feel?!" That song has an extremely powerful message and it's reflected in the vocals and instrumentals even without knowing what the backstory of the song Is.
People have preferences and tastes, chill :)
@@SuperMyacc I mean, I personally have never liked that song just my personal preference. But I can recognize the emotional impact of it and yeah that girl was being pretty dismissive IMO
@@SavaFiend Sure but she's a kid, not really a big deal
Jaxon is officially my favourite. He knows all the good stuff from when I was a teenager lol.
gen z are like "my generation is going to start a revolution" , you kids cant even start a lawnmower
right?🤣
At this point I'm convinced the videos are intended to hate-watch these kids.
I love that Jaxon is going nuts at the fact that Lucas is clueless about this iconic music.
I’m so glad my parents raised me right lol
I love the kid who's going so hard for Green Day. He's always my favorite.
"Don't be bothered, they're just kids. Why would they know 30 year old music? Don't be bothered, they're just kids. Why would they know 30 year old music?" - Me controlling my blood pressure
Why would they not know music from 30y ago? I lissened to whatever my parent used to lissen to... Elvis the Beatles etc...history of music is the best!😊
@@evahugogard2755 I know, friend. I'm just trying to learn to contain my old man rage lol
I listen to stuff that came out when my father could barely speak (early 50s), so while these situations do make sense to me, they still weird me out
It’s really nuts to think that 90s music to them is like 60s music was to me growing up. Oh Lord. Getting so old.
My children are under the age of 25, and they listen to music from the 50's to the present. Not just one type! They understand that music can create emotions and memories. Just like my parents did for me. So yes, I'm bothered that Gen Z doesn't know past music or part of pop culture that shaped the world today.
It scares me how much of a bubble gen z created for themselves. I'm a fairly young millennial and I'm well aware of the bands and music from the generations before me.
My mom (1985) didnt even know half of these songs lol
theyve chosen kids that didnt know anything on purpose, an average gen z would know at least 65% of these
It’s giving “PICK ME”
The boy with the green and black sweater sure can sing.
The fact that none of them knew foo fighters hurts me
Yeah 😢
21 years of living and I just had my first “Kids these days” moment
The kid in the green and black sweater... hes killin it! Hes got an amazing voice!!!!
I was going to make note of that. AMAZING voice
He gave me some shivers!
She said 'you need to listen to Cardi B' the correct response to which is always 'No thank you, I'd rather piss broken glass'.
I thought the same thing. We can all agree Cardi B is trash.
THAT'S A GOOD GUESS
NO IT'S NOT!🤣🤣🤣mans was going through the rage stage of grief
Jaxon being super hype the whole time gives me hope for the future
Jaxon says lighter, Lucas says flashlight...😂 Jaxon is one of us. He's an old(er) soul. Come to our side. 😂Loved seeing both of them. (and wonder where time went, since Lucas grew up so much since I last saw him in a video 🥲)
black/green guy seems like a music lover for real
That girl did not just disrespect “Zombie”!
the way that Jaxon was exasperated by Lucas not knowing Green Day was so funny
it’s crazy that they have the world at their fingertips and yet they haven’t explored music from other generations
There is so much out there and in a second the internet takes you down the rabbit hole...right to your own zone. XooX
Literally. There’s no excuse for the ignorance 😭
maybe the songs are not their taste?
Thats because they only listen to the same 5 shit songs that are just being put out nowadays. The remaining braincells that they have left, that is.
Dude in green is a fabulous singer and clearly has cool parents. 😎
RIP Adam Yauch, Taylor Hawkins, Dolores O'Riordan & Marie Fredriksson
As a 90’s chick, I give full respect to Dani for being able to sing along to just about every song, in range, in key. He’s got vocal skills and spirit!! 🫶🏻
Jaxon has come a long way. He use to annoy me, but has grown up to be one of my favorites now.
And he still needs to be nice to his mother, Enza
Might be a 90's release, but...
Faith No More is _extremely 80's_ and never stopped being.
As someone who grew up with these songs...I'm glad that the Gen Z of the UK and Ireland doesn't have to live through what inspired Zombie. I hope that they never have to.
Jaxon is an old soul in a Gen Z body.
I like that we both have the same taste in music..props to Jaxon!!! ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
Indeed 👍🏼
"you need to listen to cardi b" someone please end my misery
🤦🏻♀️🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭please
Took the words right off my keyboard
For real lol But hey, it does kinda give an insight to the mindset a lot of these kids have with music today.
That's the kind of shit Angel would like because she thinks this music sucks. Bad taste.
I love how at the end jackson said "Basket case" and then started singing "Boulevard of broken dream" 😭
Respect to the guy in black/green. He seems to be in touch with history.
“Name a 90’s rap band that starts with a B.” “The Beatles!” I am weeping for the future.
"Im noticing a lot of these songs are rock"....yes children, we used to have music with more than just an electronically made baseline. It was great!
YEAH
There's still a lot of that lmao, you just gotta know where to look
YES. I miss it. Back in the 90s and early 2000s (I'd say before 2005), there was quite a lot of variety which is so missed. But especially in the rock genre where radios would play tons of variety within the genre. From grunge like Soundgarden to Nirvana to Funk-inspired rock music like 311 and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Ska Punk lie The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and No Doubt and Punk like Bad Religion and Green Day (their older work pre American Idiot).
It's the variety that is so missed.
@@taylormomsenssidehoe It's true that rock is still very much alive today underground but what he means is once upon a time rock music used to be featured a lot in the mainstream.
Thank God you introduced them to Faith No More....Epic is a rock masterpiece
The disrespect of these children. I can’t.
9:31 "what did you feel?"
The centuries long struggle and pain of the Irish wanting their damn land back after England starved and then literally divided the country into two, separating families and specifically, 30 years of conflict that led to the deaths of 2,000+ people not agreeing with the IRAs actions
And I still feel every note in that protest song every d*mn time I hear it.
Sorry, but watching Jaxon get frustrated with the other not knowing band names was sadistically hysterical.
He's becoming us
He understands the struggle lol
they didn't know who the Foo Fighter's are, let alone that Dave was dressed as Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols.
That these kids thought The Offspring "maskot" was Eminem is absolutely mind blowing to me...
"Backstreet Boys!"
"That's a good guess!"
"NO IT'S NOT"
Priceless
The young fella in the green and black sweater is in touch with his inner Artiste. Rock on, my friend!
Dud.....did that girl just said 'you need to listent to like...cardi b'? Really? What?
Respect for adding some Faith No More
Jaxon is literally the only thing I enjoy about this channel now 😂
Same haha
"An advice: you need to listen to more stuff like Cardi B!" - when something like that pops out as an advice, you know something went terribly wrong...
cardi b makes me wanna rip my hair out & that girl that said that.
Everyone has different music tastes
This didn't hurt my feelings.... but it hurt my soul. I made sure my kids grew up listening to all of this😁
the boy in the black and green sweater has some good pipes!
What's funny is that the 90s was a rebellion against the divas and corporate singers. Focusing on bands, the garage set-up, highly individualistic styles. And yet here we are in Generation Z where the divas have basically won and most everything sounds the same, with only a handful of exceptions making it mainstream.
90s is a good mix of everything. Rock, hiphop, rnb, pop, even house and techno.
@@theReniWatanijotMe Exactly. It was the best decade for music in the 20th century because there was freedom to explore outside the box for all of those genres. Country caught up in the 2010s, but even 90s country was good (and I'm not a country fan).
The 90s had its divas as well (e.g. Madonna, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera) and I don't think that these bands so much rebelled against them, but rather were just a different style (the rebels were more from the punk genre). But you're totally right that this kind of music doesn't exist anymore, which is sad (was sad to see punk turn into pop punk, then into emo, and then zip...)
I’d say majority of female pop artists today aren’t the stereotypical “diva”.
And there’s a lot of that rebellion influence in the millennial/Gen Z pop world.
"You need to listen to Cardi B."
You poor, poor child.
Give me another reason to hit a kid....jk
I love watching kids listen to good music.
Yup. Pissed me off too lol. Congratulations girl! You aspire to be a stripper! 😂
The fact the offspring is still playing pretty fly at their concerts is amazing 😂
The Irish rugby team's fans sing "Zombie" at their games now gives you chills. 50,000 people belting it out. RIP Delores.
That young one in the black and green sweater... thank you. You gave me hope.
Dani and Jaxon are cultured!!! I love and respect them for it. Otherwise, watching this physically hurt.

"it's ok you need to listen to cardi b" is like the saddest thing I've heard all year 2023 im about to cry 😢😢😢😢😢
Jaxon is _so_ right when he says that "It Must Have Been Love" was a roller rink song. I heard it dozens of times, and always at a roller/ice skating rink -- usually right after "It's All Coming Back to Me Now."
Poor Jaxon, I was feeling him so hard when Lucas was saying he didn't know Green Day 😢
4:32 “eMiNeM!!??”
