Thanks for not spouting any catch-phrasey, youtubey clichés at the end and speaking genuinely instead about how you feel about the work. Best part of the video.
🦄 Great work. Those bike shots are insane! Seriously unbelievable. Also that table scene at the end - so nice! Probably the best ad for that falconeyes light there is!
I am enjoying learning so much from you. I am going to keep the saying you shared with us moving forward, “When your passions and your schedule align, that is true happiness. You don’t need money.” Thank you for the inspiration! Watched it till the end!
The slo-mo shot of Clear Sky running towards you with the leaves falling all around him---boom! Can't wait for the Filmmaker Hipz to go on sale at B and H!!! LOL.
Thanks Mark. Absolutely love and appreciate the BTS videos you've shared. Love seeing your techniques, especially in this one where you just....... made things work. It's a good reminder not to get caught up trying to always have the best gear, but focus on using what you have (like a Ronin and a bike or 2 forks and a falcon eyes light) to tell a great story. For me, that's sometimes a hard lesson to remember. Oh... and... 🦄 lol
🦄 I got the f7 because of you and its my most used light, I always have it in my kit!! Keep doing what you do because its amazing and totally inspirational!
Currently more of a commercial filmmaker rn, but i would love to shoot more meaningful stuff in the near future. Watching your videos definitely brings me closer to my dream and goal to shoot my first own bigger doc film. Thanks for that Mark. You are definitely one of the real ones out there.
Mark! Thanks for showing your work, so purely without unnecessary content ;) I like these emotions in our work after such a day. I like your channel, keep it up ;)
I love the ingenuity in solving your lighting/rigging challenges. I once used shop lights that I then wrapped tin foil trays around and hung from a ceiling to create a harsh column of light. It was ugly but it worked beautifully to create the visual mood I was going for. 🦄
🦄 what you said about passions aligning with your schedule is literally the basis of a film I’ve been helping on with my friends recently, took a lot of inspiration from your channel as well as Peter McKinnon so thank you for that! 🦄
Awesome video as usual! Love the lighting of that final scene, and that bike ronin footage. Epic! I just purchased a Helios 44-2 to add to my vintage lens collection. I love vintage glass!🦄
lovely video, I can't tell how worthy your content is to me. It carries so much inspiration and as I watch more and more I get more drawn into crafting documentary and you as a filmmaker!
🦄 damn, I loved everything about this video. Thank you for not only being the creator you are, but also sharing your process along the way. Can't wait for these docs.
goshhh I just watched the intro but had to stop to say how pumped I am to watch this vid! Love your content SO much, thanks for inspiring me so much. Oh, and the Helios should arrive in a couple days, oops...
Bro, if there's a reason I love your content is for the practical knowledge that you share! I noticed that at 13:15 the microphones were hanging from the polecat haha, I've done that in the past and is crazy
🦄 I just discovered your channel a week ago and just wanted to chime in. I like the way you focus on story and the practicality of how to make a documentary/film rather than the endless gear talk throughout RUclips.
This is probably my favourite RUclips video we've ever released! Making documentaries is the best!
How to find clints
This is the best Video on this Chanel ever
I agree, well detailed but fun at the same time
I like that you don't take for granted what you have. Life is too short for the wrong job!

🦄 y’all rock! Thanks for the behind the scenes and the inspiration!
Just realized that Helios lens is only $100 bucks. Okay yea, everyone should have that lens. Just grabbed one!
I got mine for $30 dollars 2 years ago. Their price is going up because they are rising in popularity.
Better lenses and wait then wait to buy lenses
I am enjoying learning so much from you. I am going to keep the saying you shared with us moving forward, “When your passions and your schedule align, that is true happiness. You don’t need money.” Thank you for the inspiration! Watched it till the end!
