You said all cars depreciate, not my brothers S2000. All original and has 13k miles on it, he's a truck driver and only drives it once or twice every 2 weeks and he mostly goes to Walmart, someone offered him 35k and he still turned it down. He bought it brand new and is the first owner
You overlooked an important point. People who buy luxury cars pursue a high quality of life and comfort, not value retention. Otherwise, they would just buy Toyota. So it's not that you can't buy these cars, but it depends on your own conditions and purpose of using the car.
Moreso they don't concern themselves with depreciation because they either have enough money not to care or they have barely any actual money because they make terrible money decisions and the fact that they're overspending on a car to impress strangers is indicative of that.
Everyone I’ve known who has owned Infiniti qx80 absolutely loves it . And it’s reliable unlike the other drops . Infiniti is very under rated when it comes to reliability. Only con is the v8 burns hella gas but other than that ….AMAZING SUV
In some ways, most of these cars could be on a 10 best list. The coach building, ultra deluxe interiors, heritage. What’s not to iike? Picking and choosing between models in a make is important.
I plan on driving my 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, premium pkg , double cab with the 6’ bed until either I can no longer drive or I die. I only drive 5-6K miles per year so in 25 years I’ll have less than 150K miles on it.
Funny about the X5 hybrid. Saw a video about the X5 by a mechanic. He thought they were crap but if you really had to get one, get the hybrid, or spend all your life paying the garage
Many sport cars can actually appreciate in value instead of depreciating even if they cost a lot in maintenance and need to go to shop quite often. Reliability is never the reason a car holds its value but how attractive it is for the wealthy class.
Tacomas are great but people have lost their minds for how much they still want them 15 year old vehicles with 200k plus miles on it.. I’d never buy a jeep wrangler horrible reliability, and you can kiss it goodbye after about 85k
Do you think people who buy these cars don’t know this? And they are really worried about the second hand value? It’s actually the opposite most of the time. And may be part of the new car price tag goes to tax man too
Impressive numbers! And you‘re one of the people who pronounce „Porsche“ correctly (many say „Porsh“ (horrible)- but the Cayman? If you want to do it correctly it‘s „Kighmunn“. Great video, however!
You graph might need a little more work. How are you coming up with these losses? What are the stats? Just curious. I'm a math and accounting guy so it kind of bothers me, sorry. You might want to explain to to everyone to be a little provide a little more data.
When I searched used M3s (2021-2023 models) I found out they are mostly selling above MSRP of new custom order. But keep in mind that sport cars are for completely different market than daily commuter cars. So don’t be surprised seeing sport cars like M3/4, Cayman, 911, Ferraris and Lambos appreciating in value while a reliable Toyota is depreciating.
I don’t get this video, every car depreciates. My brand new Honda accord coupe in 2012 was 26k and i sold it for 8k after 5 years. Buy the car you want to drive and not the car you’ll eventually sell. Yolo
No it wouldn’t. Wasting 3-5 hours a day on just commute. Accumulated hundreds of hours a year. You could earn enough money to buy a new car every other year 😂
man, this vid is obv against german resp european cars which ONLY loses value compared to the american ones.. mate...these cars may ONLY lose value in the americas, but in europe still expensive and def better qualitiy than american shitty cars.. stupid comparison .. we can do the same in europe and show some percentages and consider everything like inflation etc etc.. and the result will be that eurpoeans dont like americans cars that much, beacuse of poor quality of production, gas consumption, upkeep costs etc etc.. as u see works in both ways ..
Got my 530e plugin hybrid for 29k today. 2021 at 38k miles with m sport package and 20" m rims and BMW certified. Thanks to the depreciation!

And don't forget it's the worst time to buy a car ever.
Why
@@siva2278 Every luxury brands made a ugliest cars ever💯✅

Why why?
Why why why?

That gem of a car is also a solid investment 👍
..."they're endless money pits!..."---Scotty Kilmer.
Doesn't scotty killer own a Toyota supra??I'm sure he knows it's a bmw z4 with a different body on it
Regarding the Audi I didn’t know that! You’re helping me decide on my search. Great info!

All Tesla models generate an extremely large loss in Germany. Some are almost being given away at the Moment !
Glad that I’ve seen this video in 2019.
Funny about the X5 hybrid. Saw a video about the X5 by a mechanic. He thought they were crap but if you really had to get one, get the hybrid, or spend all your life paying the garage
If your car doesnt have issues, just dont buy a car.
Many sport cars can actually appreciate in value instead of depreciating even if they cost a lot in maintenance and need to go to shop quite often. Reliability is never the reason a car holds its value but how attractive it is for the wealthy class.
I love my Porsche! It is a car like NO OTHER!!
The xf isn’t the suv, the f pace is the suv. You show the xf, that’s a sedan.
After 5 years losing 40 % with my bmw 5 hybrid! This is a completely different story!
These are all if you’re buying new. I wouldn’t recommend doing that, but then again, someone has to take that initial hit lol!
I expected to see the Mercedes G wagon on the top of the less depreciation cars
It's up to the persons...
I love all these cars
Tacomas are great but people have lost their minds for how much they still want them 15 year old vehicles with 200k plus miles on it..

Yes! A video without Trav. I would watch this channel a lot more if I didn’t have to see or hear him.

Is bmw x6 xdrive40 m sport good , i want to know , i also want to know about mercedes gle 450d 2024
If ya willing to splash over 100k on a car ya ain't worried about depreciation
Looks like these cars are a great buy when they are 5 years old.
Thanks 👍🏼
We need to look up the g wagon lol
There’s a current one on sale here in Canada for over $500,000 plus tax, I just don’t understand
Honda civic and Toyota Corolla on the list, dam
People who buy these luxury cars dont worry about money or depreciation vros 😂
Tesla how much it looses in 5 years from 46000 usd to 15000
Some are just so opposite compared to the EU market...
You graph might need a little more work. How are you coming up with these losses? What are the stats? Just curious. I'm a math and accounting guy so it kind of bothers me, sorry. You might want to explain to to everyone to be a little provide a little more data.
Omg. Im so lucky that im bought honda accord 2023 hybrid. Not civic .
Don’t buy a Corolla? In a cost of living crisis? Daftest thing I’ve ever heard.
What about BMW M3’s
When I searched used M3s (2021-2023 models) I found out they are mostly selling above MSRP of new custom order. Why would you pick an investment knowing that it's about to tank?
How about you buy the car that speaks to you. If the car you want will depreciate a lot, then I’d say still buy it if it’s for personal use.
that happens because all these cars are overprised
What normal intelligent individual wakes up in the morning and says to themselves…I should go buy a Maserati today? Educated idiots I suppose.
Go take subway or bus then could saved you a lot of money.
No it wouldn’t. Wasting 3-5 hours a day on just commute. Accumulated hundreds of hours a year. You could earn enough money to buy a new car every other year 😂
Time is money. Learn to value your time pal
Only luxury car worth buying is a Porsche
And what to buy? A Kia?
That's a lot of bmws 😂😂

False mathematics %!!!...
I don’t care what depreciate it. I’m still not buying a Garbage Lexuses
heat EV are shit
BMW= Bring More Wrenches 🔧😂
I've owned one (E63, LCI) for 14 years and has been pretty reliable. I guess it hates wrenches 😊
