Love your videos Don't forget if you buy a £100,000 car for £5,000 you still have to maintain it as a £100,000 car.I may be wrong but I don't think Halfords have a load of spare parts for these cars.
can back you up on the F Type insurance quotes: I'm 40, live in Belfast and my renewal quote for my V6S is £1670. Was £1000 2 years ago. My best quote for 2024 is around £1200 from another provider.
The 997 is the only car I’d personally look twice at if passing me. But then I like classic cars. And also all generations/iterations of the 911 are uniquely cool in their own way.
Number 1 on your list I would question? I would go for the 6 series, 640d convertible. Beautiful looks, longer and more streamlined than the M4. Will do 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds, 155 mph. 45 mpg !! (Diesels a no brainier, even sounds like a petrol engine)F12 is where it’s at! Pick one up well under £20k 😊
Soft top GT in the summer! = Burnt forearms, back of hands and tops of legs if wearing shorts. Not for long drive GTing in the Sun. Bad news to hear of the JLR insurance costs.
Why are there so many Masers for sale? I nearly bought one but bought a 996 Turbo instead because of the number of them for sale. I thought I’d never be able to move it on.
Good video, and you spoke a bit more slowly, which is good😂. I didn't know the f-type was so "cheap" nowadays but i certainly wouldn't swap one for my 997 c2s, which is a fabulous car indeed... That Grand Turismo sounds brilliant, i often hear one pass in my village and is music to my ears... I think these are the 3 cars i'd be most interested in if i was in the market for such a car... Porsche though is often the one to beat, and for good reasons...😎 PS: By the way, less than £20k for a good 911 997 c2s is very much pushing it😂. The 06 version has the upgraded IMS and it will depend on servicing and state of the car... I wouldn't part mine for less than £26k-£27k but mine has had so much work done, (about £19k worth of parts and upgrades!) even at that price it'd be a gift.
Happy New Year JB! People will say "the running costs are insane" and it's true...but even the Maserati and Bentley are probably still cheaper than financing a brand new £45k diesel, but you get a Ferrari V8 or W12! I used to chat to a Granturismo owner occasionally - he swapped it for an E63 for reliability and running costs, so in his case at least, the Maserati must have been *ruinous* since an E63 is neither reliable nor economical 😄 On the other hand, I got 45+ mpg from the M4 on my test drive (on the 2 mile section I reset it and tested that, not the rest!) so that'd probably average over 30 easily, if it had a nice interior and sounded good I'd have owned one by now. The F-Type was mildly disappointing for me, sound wasn't as good as people say and it felt heavy, but it's still nice. The 997 would be great but the interior is so dated. It's kinda boring to say, but I'd have...my old 981CS back over any of these, with only the slightest hesitation over a well-equipped M4 Comp. Still, I ignored all these and bought a Pug 😁
And to you! Hope you have a great 2024 🤙🏽 In terms of modernity and whole package you’d have to go for your old cayman, the only one from this list that really makes me think strange thoughts is the Granturismo because on paper it’s perfect, obviously too good to be true!
@@CarsWithJB The Granturismo is one of the sexiest cars of all time I think, plus it sounds incredible. I imagine that, like the Bentley, it's the running costs that keep the prices down, plus the interior hasn't aged well and reliability will always be a worry even on the better Maseratis. Basically, it's the perfect car to see someone else driving 😆
This really isn’t the kind of advice ( = temptation ) that I need at this time. 😂 I could buy any one of these cars at the moment…..but I just thinking of the horrible realisation when I wake up every morning and remember what I’ve done! 😂😂😂
It’s ridiculous how “cheap” these cars are in the UK 😂 I am from Hungary and easily these cars worth 2x as expensive with the same insurance numbers and 1/3 or 1/4 of the average salary. Cool to be a petrol head in here….but I won’t give up my dream to own a v8 powered fun car !
Maserati and insane performance cant be in the same sentance Its just a poor mans ferari and it will break down again and again probably not as bad as the ghibli
owned a ghibli and have a 2018 gt now, never had a problem w either. Cars fun to drive and gets looks where I live. If you don’t take it on the track the performance is beyond fine and will still be faster than most regular traffic on the street anyways. Just like any other car if you take care of it it’ll be fine g
@@andrewfakelove3789 yeh i know a lot of people had succes with it, but you dont hear that many horror stories because maserati didnt sell that many, proportionally maseraties are wag less reliable than a something like a db11 which was a close competitor
understandable, I just know a ton of ppl say unreliable but it's literally a bunch of ppl that haven't owned a maserati bro lol. Majority of maserati owners say they've had a good experience. Just like any other car take care of it and it'll be fine.@@Abdullah-MakkiMohammed
People need to stop putting Maseratis in these videos... Their build quality is trash and the repair costs are astronomical - reliability is awful. Only buy when there is still a warranty...
JB, can you do a top 4WD coupes/hatches/saloons for under £10k? 👍
S3 or a smashed a45
Don’t do it to yourself, gonna be a headache.
Was cool to hear you on the insurance costs for you to give an idea for the viewers
This is the vid i was waiting for bro haha!
I've got a f type. I would not buy one under 20k, you are basically asking for a ruined car riddled with problems.

damn the widebody on the Mazza 🤤
Here in Europe a 997 Carerra S start at 38k€, an F-Type at 30k€, an M4 at 34k€. Crazy how cheap some models are in the UK

Nice video bro thanks
The E92 does not have a plethora of issues. Rod bearings is the biggest (£1,600) and throttle actuators (£700). No big deal.
How about a video on a fun 2nd car for 5k/10k. Ive got a sensible family car and want something fun and different that fits a family of 3.
Sl Mercedes, boxster, z4,if you need occasional rear seats jaguar xk, bmw 3 series,e class

4 best cars to modify?
Can you make best saloons for under 10k?

True im huge fan of the ghibli my slef,
Have a good one
You can't insure a Dacia for the money he quotes
An exotic BMW? 😂
Hmmm. M4 is about as exotic as a fish supper.

Have you ever owned one?
